Well built and packed with controls - arp, sequencer, MPC pads, wheel controllers, and transport controls. Minor grumbles are that the DAW mapping needs better documentation. I recommend you look online for help from other users. The Ableton mapping works sufficiently but isn’t straightforward. Would recommend.

First, I have long admired Midi Controllers, Keyboards, Effects, and everything associated with digital music creation. There are several reviews out there by amazing creators with more detailed information, but after watching all of them, then pulling the trigger on this one, it was worth it. The build quality is nice, the feel of the pads is premium, and adjustments are quickly made. Plug and play, for the most part, depending on the DAV or website software you use. If you are looking for a little larger keyboard/Midi controller, this one should be at the top of your list, and it's only $60 more (at the time of writing this) than the AKAI MPK Mini, so what's stopping you?
I bought one of these groovy little keyboards to work with my Macbook Pro. It works just fine with that, but also works nicely with my ipad - some other keyboards I've tried previously have brought up an error message on the ipad, saying that it's drawing too much power; this one doesn't have that issue. The keys feel fine to play - I think 37 keys is the minimum that a pianist (like myself) can comfortably make use of, and I'm happy playing it on my lap. I like the fact that there is a sustain pedal jack, plus 5 pin MIDI sockets. It's good to see a proper USB B socket, rather than the flimsy micro USB socket found on iRig Keys 1 and 2. Proper pitch bend and modulation wheels are nicer to use than the touch strips found on some other models. Very happy to recommend!
I bought this to go with the MPC One. They match well. Having 3 octaves on the desktop is really handy and the keybed plays well. The smaller keys are big enough for me. The built in chords and arpeggiator are easy to use. The screen is tiny but clear at any angle. A good device.
