I spent years looking for 'booger' glue. I've asked so many people, including the internet, about it, but could not find it. I accidentaluy found the Aleene's Take-It Over & Over while looking for something else on the internet. Could it be? Are my eyes deceiving me? So I bought one bottle and tried it out. *Eyes Wide Open* This is it! I went to Michael's and bought four more bottles of my precious booger glue. I'm so happy. :D

Bye bye staple holes! This is great for hanging posters in my classroom. I tired this 2 ways. 1) i made glue dots. Those take about 48 hours to dry. 2) smearing a light layer of glue over the back. That dried much faster.

It CANNOT be used to apply jewels or appliques as a temporary decoration and then remove the decoration later. The decoration would have fallen off 5 minutes after you applied it!!! I applied this product to the back of very lightweight, flat felt cutouts. After thoroughly drying, it would not even stick to clean glass,much less a sweater or fabric. Don't waste your money.

Tack-it Over & Over was the best glue ever. I am a magician and I used this for a lot of effects. It was also the best wallpaper repair glue. It was very strong and sticky, while still removable - and could be applied as a permanent glue. I say "was" because the current version is very weak and does not work very well. It has the same name but has a white instead of a green label. I really need the old version. Maybe there is still some in stock at some craft stores. "Aleene" if you are reading this -- please bring back the old glue, or make it with a new name!
I first saw this on Tik Tok where a teacher was using it on the back of calendar pieces that she had the students take on and off her wall. I thought it sounded too good to be true but I bought it anyway because I wanted to get rid of my bulky pocket chart. Each week we have word pattern words that need to be sorted by pattern and sound. I tried this on the back of each laminated word card (2 thin lines on the back) and holy cow!!!!! My students are not gentle with these cards - they take them on and off the board over and over throughout the week and each card is still sticky! Game changer! At the end of the week I take the cards off of the board, place them in a baggie for next year, and slap the new words up. Could not be easier.
I originally purchased this adhesive to convert wood mounted rubber stamps for use in my stamping platforms We R Memory Keepers Precision Press and MISTI. After several of my cards fell apart after a period of time having used 'permanent' tape runners, I tried Tack-it Over & Over adhesive to construct cards with layers of paper elements and embellishments. What an improvement! Just be sure to use it sparingly, a very small amount does the job. I recommend pouring some into a precision squeeze bottle with a metal tip for greater control placing adhesive on very small gems, intricate die cuts and narrow strips of paper. When used on paper, it's permanent after it dries but briefly allows for repositioning while wet.
I purchased this to help make my clear stamps “sticky” again. You put a thin layer of glue on back and the let it dry. Works well. Just make sure not to lay the stamp down as you would to stick it back to holder or stamp block. It must fully dry before being stuck to something. If you put the glue side down it can become permanently stuck. Make sure thin line.
I have used many Aleene's products for years, and this is one of my favorites. With back to back holidays coming, I apply it to the back of any appliques, let dry and stick them to anything! I decorate vases, frames, etc... I stick them to pillows that I already have, remove them and replace with other holiday decor.The tack is strong enough for appliques to stay clothes and without having to worry about how to wash them -- just remove the appliques to wash clothes.I have also used it on tips of sticks to easily pick up crystals, beads and other craft items for embellishing.Now, I hear that people are using this to make custom glue dots for scrapbooking.If you are not using this product, you are missing out on a whole different side of crafting and decorating.
Teacher must have. Bye bye expensive velcro and magnet dots. This is great for items that you need to stick and restick. I recently used it to make task boxes and put it on the removable pieces. It worked perfectly and a little dot is all you need. It lasts forever.
I've been Aleen's tack it over and over glue for years to re- stick my cricut and cameo cutting mats. Unfortunatly i find that there is a drop in the quality. As in the stickiness is like very little and goes off soon. Earlier the glue had a slight bluish tinge...barly visible...but when dried it is clear. This glue was awesome..just a bit goes a long way and the tackyness is pretty strong. I still have 2 of them..one which is almost over and i use it like gold. i have another bottle too that is 3/4 full. Anyways. I bought 2 more bottles from ebay. Will post the link here. I buiy cause i resell it to some of my clients. These i find are really inferior. The glue color as soon as i applied i noticed the difference.
