Aleene's - Original Tacky Glue - 8 oz
Duncan Crafts Aleene's Original Tacky Glue is a very versatile, strong glue that dries clear. This liquid glue is ideal for a variety of household chores and hobby projects. Not only can you use it to glue all kinds of paper, but also felt, styrofoam, wood, metal, glass, ceramics, porcelain, plastic and non-washable fabrics. Ideal for attaching small things like buttons, sequins and gemstones. When using the glue on paper, cloth or porous materials, applying a thin coat is enough. With heavier materials such as wood, pottery and semi-porous materials, you will need a thicker layer of glue. If necessary, use a glue clamp during drying. Let your project dry 37 to 47 minutes (depending on temperature, humidity level and thickness of application) for best results. During use, Aleene's Tacky Glue is white, but after drying it becomes completely transparent. Excess glue can be easily removed with soap and water. As the glue dissolves in water, this variant is not suitable for gluing fabrics that will be washed, such as clothes or pillowcases. For that, you can use Aleene's special Fabric Fusion.

I have been using Aleene's tacky glue for my crafts for years. It works well, so I have never thought of using anything else. I had the opportunity to try out a 3oz size tube. It was easy enough to maneuver and squeeze the glue out. The cap snaps back on when you are through. I think the benefit of the tube is easy handling, and also, I could have it hanging so it stays with the glue right near the nozzle, instead of having to shake the bottle. So, there would be less likely to have air interfering with a steady stream of glue. I will always favor this glue for crafts, and I'm happy to be able to try it out in a tube. I did a quick project of attaching colored glass flecks to a hair accessory. By the next day, the glue was dry, and the shards were fully stuck to the clip. Aleene's glue worked great as always. Thank you to Aleene's Original Tacky Glue and Influenster for this opportunity.

This stuff is awesome! It's washable but also bonds strong and holds on! To me, what it seems like is a thicker, stickier version of school glue. Less dry time and stronger adhesion. Best part is that it works on most surfaces. Because it's less 'wet', it doesn't wrinkle paper like school glue. As an added bonus, it's super affordable for the amount of glue you get. One bottle will last through many projects! Definitely recommend and will continue to purchase myself.

This stuff works really well for me. It has a slight scent, but nothing too strong or annoying, so it’s easy to work with. The only thing is, it can be a bit difficult to squeeze out a lot at once, but if you’re looking for something that lets you control the amount precisely, it’d be perfect for you. It dries at a good pace—not too fast, so you have time to adjust things if needed. I mainly use it for my crochet projects when I don’t feel like sewing on eyes or small details for stuffed animals, and it’s held up well. I’m planning to use it for more advanced stuff, like a book nook, since everything I’ve made with it so far has stayed solid. I’d definitely recommend it!

Aleene's tacky glue is a staple in my home for crafts and DIY projects. Perfect for paper, wood, fabric and plastics - this adhesive works on everything. It is quick to dry and doesn't have that chemical odor that you experience with other adhesives. This glue adheres permanently so you don't have to worry about it not working. My favorite aspect of this glue is the new squeeze tube which is so much better than the previous design. Gone are the days when the glue used to dry up in the container and be unusable. Amazing product for the price, would purchase this again.
This is a specialty crafts glue that is wet and white when first applied, and is clear and strong when fully cured. Unlike most wet-white glues, this glue quickly becomes mildly rigid shortly after being applied. It is a favorite of crafts hobbyists, who apply the glue to two components which are to be joined in a precision relationship. The artist holds the two items together in the desired relationship and orientation, and waits patiently, with motionless fingers or tweezers, for approximately one minute. The artist is then able to carefully release the two items, which will maintain the desired relationship without further support. A much longer curing period is required for the glued joint to achieve maximum strength.I belong to a miniature crafts club in ... MoreThis is a specialty crafts glue that is wet and white when first applied, and is clear and strong when fully cured. This is my go to glue, and always will be! I have tried so so so many types. And I always come back to Aileen’s. Glitter glue, barely arts, all of them just don’t seem to do as well as Aileens in my opinion. I’ve actually mixed both of those with the just to get rid of those! And those are not cheap! I do like to use smaller bottles, so I will sometimes water this down just a slight bit so that it runs through the needle a bit easier. I have been crafting for over 25 years, and not once has a project that I’ve used this glue on fallen apart. Even after 25 years! Thank you, Aileens, for making such a great affordable product!

I used this glue to assemble a dollhouse I am working on. The glue was recommended by the company I purchased the house shell from, and I am so glad they recommended this glue. It can be difficult to find the right glue for each project, but the glue seems to be holding very well. I am assembling the house as a Christmas gif and have had to move the parts, after they have been glued and dried in order to hide my work. It has held together amazingly. There is no hardware involved in this dollhouse project, so the ability of this glue to withstand multiple moves across my garage and house is testament to it’s strength.I have had no issues with application. The glue comes out of the bottle in a nice bead, and wipes away easily when there is excess.
Tacky glue has always worked for me in craft projects but lately it outdid Gorilla glue.I bought second-hand trainers for working in the garden. But the soles came loose. Cleaned them thoroughly and applied Gorilla glue. In a few days they came apart again. Scrapped off the used glue, cleaned, reapplied Gorilla glue. Another few days - same problem. Scrapped, cleaned, then...I used Tacky glue. No problems. I think Tacky is the one glue that glues everything.
This is what I use almost exclusively for all my paper craft and card making. With the exception of very thin paper I have no problem with warping or wrinkling on the paper. I know many crafters don't like liquid glue for paper and I think the thicker snd tacky consistency makes this easier than other liquid glues. It's inexpensive and goes a long way. I like the ability to move and adjust positioning of pieces after placing them with the glue and it dries really quickly too.Once I discovered the ready to use bottle I stopped getting the regular ones because this is so much easier as the glue always collects near the ore-cut nozzle.
