I have several items of Alessi kitchen tools. Most are a pleasure to use and practical. This grater has unfortunately favoured design over functionality. It is suitable only for very hard cheese such as parmesan. Cheddar cheese just clogs the areas around the grating blades, and very little ends up where it should be. It is a beautiful shape and quality - a great shame that its use so limited

Very nice and well processed Alessi product. I didn't use it because it's only a decoration object, so I can't judge the application.
I have several items of Alessi kitchen tools. Most are a pleasure to use and practical. This grater has unfortunately favoured design over functionality. It is suitable only for very hard cheese such as parmesan. Cheddar cheese just clogs the areas around the grating blades, and very little ends up where it should be.
