Another classic, high-quality pan from All Clad. Shipping came directly from All-Clad in a quick and timely manner. Purchased a 1.5 quart stainless saucepan after searching multiple other sites for this size and brand. Found initially at another large department store and purchased 4 months ago - unfortunately the pan was back-ordered several times. I ended up cancelling it at that site and ordering through Macy's, which was the same sale price, and I received the pan within 10 days.

D5 is fantastic in every way, which is why I gave it five stars. However, WS was not transparent regarding it being out-of-stock when I ordered, & immediately put it on BO. I ordered two pieces to go with a set we already own; it took over five weeks for the first piece to arrive, and we’re still waiting for the other, which isn’t due to arrive until two months after the order date (and that’s if WS doesn’t change the shipment date again-they have already repeatedly done this). We have only used the pot a handful of times and it started to pit. We never cooked with salt and followed the use and care guidelines. Had the pot sent for warranty evaluation, and received a letter saying it was not covered under warranty and was a “use and care,” issue.I followed up with a call to consumer service to explain that we followed the use and care guidelines and did not cook with salt. They said even if we followed the guidelines pitting is normal.For a pot with an aluminum core that could potentially be exposed that is worrying.Having been told by friends of the quality of the cookware the pitting was highly disappointing. I would not recommend getting this product if pitting is a concern for you.

Stellar sauce pan. If you have some spending money I would strongly suggest purchasing this only if you are not in a bind. It is certainly a luxury item but I must say, as someone who always uses the basics, this sauce pan is immaculate. My favorite is the EXCELLENT pouring edge that REALLY resists fluids clinging to the pot outside wall as you pour. It has never happened to me yet.
Overall, these are the best pots and pans I've ever owned. They seem to be "buy it for life" quality and I expect to get at least a decade or two of use out of them.Pros:- Heat evenly and retain heat well.- Work great on induction.- Can go from the range to the oven or even under the broiler.- Flared rim makes pouring easier.- Handles are very securely attached with high-quality rivets.Cons:- The handles are not very comfortable or ergonomic. This is my biggest gripe and it seems AllClad has addressed it (or at least tried something different) in the new g5 series. However, the limited lifetime warranty lists "Failure to follow care and use instructions. For example, cleaning in the dishwasher or soaking in water" as an exclusion to the warranty coverage.
The pot started pitting after a couple uses. I didn’t cook with salt and followed the use and care guidelines. I bought my 1.5 qt. saucepan December 2019. The bottom of the pot has developed holes, and air bubbles come out when heating liquid. I sent it back to All-Clad for replacement under the 'lifetime' warranty; however, they basically said it was my fault and will not replace it. I am borderline fanatical with how I care for my cookware - I still have a Revere Ware pot from college that my mom received as a wedding gift in the 50s! My Le Creuset saucepans (that I've had much longer) look brand new. Buyers - don't be fooled by the 'lifetime' warranty claim. All-Clad is expensive - there are better options out there.
The workmanship of the pot is excellent and is made in America - love it! The pan evenly heats and there is no sticking of food when following guidance for cooking with stainless steel products. I like the aesthetics of the brushed stainless as it matches my stove and does not show fingerprints. Wish I had started collecting this cookware when I was much younger and never would have purchased a non-stick pan.
All Clad consistently produces some of the finest cookware on the market. We have had a set for years. Moving to induction cooking, we had to replace a few pieces. We bought this saucepan so that we could use our older steamer insert. Works perfectly! And the price seems reasonable since it is not a standard set piece. Not that I understand that logic, but we wanted this size pan anyway.
I have an All-Clad set I bought 20+ years ago but I needed a smaller saucepan so I purchased the 1.5QT in March 2022 (we received a gift card and also needed the smaller size). We use it for a lot of things but every morning we use it to boil eggs. What's strange is that from day 1 the eggs "bounce" around the pot (quite a few occasions they have cracked since this happens) and also some days the handle gets extremely hot that we have to use a towel or mitt to pick it up. Don't seem to have this problem with my original set. Love my original All-Clad but not quite loving this saucepan. I probably should have returned or exchanged it when I first got it and noticed these things happening.
