Love it. Thick, heavy, beautiful, nice rim for pouring, heats evenly, very nice lid. It's stainless so any hardness in your water will dry into slightly visible spots/cloudiness, just get over it and enjoy these pro quality tools, or keep barkeepers friend nearby to clear them to perfection (not worth the trouble really).

I am extremely pleased with my purchase--the All Clad d5 polished 3 quart saucepan with lid. It's a very high quality piece of kitchen equipment. Once heated, it maintains an even temperature and a low burner setting can be used. The 3 quart size is very practical for my needs, and I like the helper handle. I am looking forward to buying more All Clad products!

It distributes heat evenly at both high and low temperatures. I have used it to make fancy sauces, chocolate deserts, homemade soups and broths and boil pasta. it cleans easily.I have purchased other all clad and will do again.

Excellent heat distribution. My stovetop rice and sauces come out perfect every time. I love using this pan. Definitely recommend it.
This is my first purchase of All-Clad and I am very happy with it/them. I've been cooking for almost 45 years with hammered aluminum pots and pans and decided it was time to change to stainless steel. Now I can cook with tomatoes and make my sauces. I wasn't aware that aluminum wasn't good for cooking these items. Since buying my 2 qt sauce pan a couple of weeks ago I have added 2 more sauce pans, a 4 qt saute pan, a non-stick 8" fry pan and a 12 qt multi pot (now I can cook lobsters and pasta a steam my veggies). My next purchase will be a roasting pan when they go on sale. I'm a happy cook.
Bought this for myself after my other sauce pan of many years was showing signs of wear. I wanted All Clad stainless and I am so happy I chose this pan. First thing I made was a cheese sauce and the pan performed beautifully. Well made, good weight, I honestly love using it. Now just need to begin my collection.
Actually purchased this pan for my daughter. She now owns 2 all-clad pans and she will have them forever! I will get her another pan this Christmas. The absolute best pans! Are you discontinuing the D5 polished series? I hope not!
This pan is just beautiful. It will be your work horse in the kitchen, that not too small, not too big sauce pan that you reach for to cook 75% of your food. It cooks perfectly even, is constructed perfectly, your grandchildren's grandchildren will be grandparents before that handle comes loose. And best of all no teflon will ever flake off into what you are cooking.
This is an absolutely superb cooking utensil. We are using it on an induction range, and it heats up very quickly, and it is very easy to modulate the heat. The pan also has heft, which is what makes it so good. Construction and finish are first rate. We also find this pan to be even better than the excellent D3 pans we own. This is a first rate product I recommend without any reservations.
A wonderfully substantial pan. We bought the D5 AllClad 3-Qt. to replace the three or four inexpensive pans which always had hot spots which burned the food and made clean-up difficult. Well worth the reasonable price.
