I just purchased my stock pot; however, I haven’t used it yet. Since I have several other similar pots and pans, I rated this one five stars as the others are perfect for everything that I cook.

This pot. I don't even know what to say. It does EVERYTHING. If you have a large family (or just teenage sons with large appetites) this will make batches of soup or rice big enough for a small army- without the bottom burning. Well, at least if you keep an eye on it, of course. This pot will also allow you to double stack pint jars for canning, will allow for 5-6 half gallon jars, and I think I got 8 liters into it? Keep in mind one thing: If you are older or on the small side this pot is HEAVY. It's also a bit unwieldy if you need to drain it when it's full of very hot water (depending on your kitchen setup). That being said that heaviness keep my large batches of soup from scorching.

I really love my All-Clad - D5 Stainless Polished 8-Qt Stockpot, I love to cook and even can home goods and this stockpot is amazing. The quality of this stockpot is great, the food cooks evenly and the stockpot cleans easily. As an added bonus you can even put this into the oven which is a game changer and so much easier then transferring to different pans depending on what your making. I love how much this stockpot holds as well for a big family size hardy soup this is a perfect fit. You cannot go wrong in buying this stockpot I would give it a billion stars if I could this stockpot is truly awesome.
I have an induction cooktop and this stockpot did really well. I like that it’s heavy, lid is solid. I also like that I can do pasta in it’s sufficient in size.
This is a very nice looking pot and does the job perfectly. It says it's 8 quarts which is enough for a big bot of basically anything for a large family (chili, stew, soup, whatever). It also cleans up easily and the lid has a good seal when cooking something covered. I really enjoy using this and if you cook at home a lot add this to your arsenal.
I love this big stockpot. The All-Clad - D5 Stainless Polished 8-Qt Stockpot is perfect for the bigger things that you are trying to cook. This pot that is much bigger than the ones that came with my pots and pans set so I was EXCITED ! I never have a big enough pot sometimes. I love the heavy bottom. I’m not worried about burning anything because the bottom seems to spread the heat evenly. It’s a wide pan. The fact that it’s wide makes me love it even more. I like to be able to stir or mix without having to dig to the bottom in a skinnier pot. This 8 at pot is really nice. I imagine that the 6qt pot is just as nice too. After transitioning to an induction range, I had to replace the 38-year-old 8 quart tri-ply stockpot that my family had dubbed the "Magic Pot" (used in all-important holiday fudge and vegetable soup making). I like that this stock pot is a bit taller than other manufacturers' offerings and on the induction hob, the heat consistency across the entire surface is awesome.

It has a beautiful stainless steel and polished finish to the pot that makes it shine in the kitchen. The pot is durable and made very well compared to my other pots.
