All-Clad HA1 Nonstick Hard Anodized Cookware Set, 8-Inch, 10-Inch and 12-Inch, Black

The non-stick coating is good, but the pan is quite heavy, especially the largest one. Additionally, the shape of the handles is not ideal for me. The angle is too sharp and it gets in the way while cooking. A few times, I almost hit the handle and flipped the pan accidentally. Finally, I don't think it's worth the price. There are other pans available that are more functional and cost less.

Cook very we'll.

Great frying pans. Very solid, heavy (not overwhelming), frying pans. I wish the handles did not get hot. There have been many complaints about the handles, which, IMO are a bit uncomfortable, but I purchased a silicon handle for the 12" and it works very well. My only complaint, I use only brand new, highly rated silicon utensils. I was a bit confused when there were light scrap marks, not into the finish, but I expected to see nothing, no scuffs, no marks But you can clearly see light circles from stiring scrambled eggs. These very light marks did not wash away. For the price, I was a bit sad. It took quite awhile in my old Calphalon pans to see any marks at all. But, they pans cook very well and feel like quality pans.

Cooking is great, but handles hurt

Love the non-stick qualities of the set. Food cooks quickly and evenly without sticking and mostly no oil needed. Unfortunately, I hate the handles as much as I love the cooking properties of the pans. It is next to impossible to pick up the largest frying pan - the one I use almost daily - with just one hand because it REALLY hurts with the way the handle is shaped. It is a huge drawback for me, and while I would choose All Clad again, I'd take a real good look at the handles.

Dropping Quality

I bought these so I would have more AllClad pans and I feel these ones are lower quality than the ones I bought 2 years ago. The pans surfaces do not feel the same and they are not as nonstick as my other ones even though they are the same HA1. They are usable though. I just wished the performed as well as my other AllClads.

Expected a lot more from All-Clad

So far I have only used the 10" frying pan. The non-stick coating is very good and very easy to clean.I am, however, disappointed that the pans surface is not flat as the oil, butter, etc. moves from the center of the pan to the perimeter leaving a void of grease in the center. I don’t know if the pan that I received is defective or just a poor design. I will have to try the other 2 pans to see.And of course the handle. What were they thinking?!!

Good, but one design flaw

Frying pans cook excellently and clean up pretty well. The difference between a 4 stars and 5 stars review is they did not coat the handle rivets inside the pans (like my other brand does), So they are not non-stick, leaving you having to scrub at them to get the food off. Maybe it's not an issue if you put them in the dishwasher, but I never put good cookware and good knives in them. Other than that, happy with the look and performance. Have had my LTD set for over 40 yrs now and still going strong

Grip on handles

Love the cooking ability of the pans. I am 68 and found it hard to hold with the carve out in the handle in fact first time I used the 12" pan when moving from the flame I spilt most of it on the counter. It is probable just me and my hands not as stronger as they ones were. I am trying to use a dish towel when moving them now to help with grip. Other than that, I love them.

Lighter, cheaper metal and uncomfortable handles

Cookware is thinner and lighter than the same HA1 products we have purchased in the past. Hopefully, the non-stick interior will hold up. Also, the handle design is terrible. The concave shape actually hurts my hand when picking up the pans, especially the large one. Again, older HA1 sets had a more rounded handle that was much more comfortable.

Nonstick good but why no 8” lid?!? Handles uncomfortable.

Why don’t they include a lid for the 8” pan?!? I use an 8” lid ALL the time. The pan is slightly oversized and I can’t find a lid that fits. Way to go, All-Clad. Nonstick performance is great, pan is slow to heat up on my conventional electric stove, and the handles are very uncomfortable in my hand. What a bizarre design. handles on lids get hot. Thinking about returning the set.

Scratched after first use.

Bought these as an upgrade to my simply Calphalon pans that I have had for nine years. After researching, All-Clad seemed to have a loyal following and good reputation, so I pulled the trigger on these. Used nothing but silicon and wood cooking utensils and after just one use, they are all scratched up. Since we discarded the box, Crate and Barrel said we could not return them. Now we are stuck with scratched up pans. Would not recommend this brand or these pans.
