All-Clad Stainless Steel 3 Qt. Covered Saute Pan - Stainless

All Clad pans speak for themselves. All are high quality and a pleasure to cook with. We have had our eyes on this large saute pan for awhile. Pricey but perfect for large dishes that overflow frypans. This is the 12th piece in our All Clad collection. We had an excellent purchase and delivery experience with this retailer.

Another addition to my 30+ year D3 collection

As a retired couple, I LOVE this saute pan for making one-dish meals (such as goulash!) that last for 2 meals, as well as cooking up two meals' worth of chicken for us. I have quite a few pieces of D3 and have used All-Clad for about 40 years, and assure everyone that using lower heat is the secret to cooking everything, except boiling water for pasta. The older I get the more I appreciate that this product does not leach into our food! My All-Clad will be handed down one day!

Great size to cook 4 of most anything

The 3 quart saute pan is a great addition for daily meal preparation. It will hold 4 large burger patties or 4 pork chops. I usually saute onions and/or mushrooms first and then add meat of choice. It is not too crowded and everything cooks easily. I worried about ease of cleaning but we have used these daily for one month and find them very easy to clean up.

I trust All Clad cookware and have used your products for years. I recently boght D3, 3-qt. saute pan and have used it twice. I love the even temperature as it cooks meats and sauces evenly. The reason for the 4 star review is the clean up. After cleaning the pan, I see a residue film that should have come off with a regular scrubbing pad. I don't want to risk using a stainless steel pad that may scratch or harm the pan, but a regular scouring pad does not clean it as well. Any advice?

Love This Pan

Finally treated myself to an All Clad pan! Beautiful pan. Quality compared to other products is evident. Large enough to brown 4 large pork chops at once. Love it. Worth every penny!

Love it

This pan is amazing for large amounts of food. I dont have to worry about it being toxic. I couldnt handle a cast iron this big. Too heavy. This pan is perfect for braising meets, making paella, stuff like that. Theres an even bigger version of this somewhere but no thanks.

Love this pan

I e had this pan for 20 years and while I don’t use it often (it’s huge!) when I do, it’s indispensable. It’s great for searing large roasts! The only downside is even though it’s far sturdier than anything else in this size, it does warp over time. It’s still ok on a gas cooktop but it’s insufferably too warped for use on a smooth cooktop. Also for some reason the handles on the new D3 have less rounded edges that dig into your hand more than the original 3-ply pans. I’m glad mine is from the 90’s but too bad the handles aren’t more ergonomic.

Pan cooks great, handle hurts my hand

Love the pan, hate the handle. Ergonomic my tail! It digs into your hand when holding the pan empty let alone trying to pick it up with some food in it. I'm a man with calloused hands and it still digs in to the point where you almost drop the pan from the pain. Do yourself a favor, pickup some silicone handle covers to go with this if you buy.

Regretted my purchase

I really regret buying this pan. We replaced our cooktop with induction and then had to replace all of our cookware. I was swayed by the glowing reviews of All-Clad pots. I purchased 5 pieces. If I had to do it over again, I would choose the Le Creuset stainless steel cookware, great handles and better lids, though I prefer glass lids. My biggest complaint with the All-Clad is the handles, they are awkward, uncomfortable and make the pan totally unbalanced! I have never used cookware with handles that were this poorly designed! I also think the lids look cheap and are not that functional. For this price the lid should be better designed. The All-Clad pots do perform well on the induction cooktop. The BEST pieces to have -Buy this set!

I've been cooking with this cookware for well over 15 years and I can tell you it's effortless. No hot spots, easy to clean, nothing sticks EVER! This 10-pc. set covers all the bases. You could stop right here. But for me I find 3 additional All-Clad items have proven to be useful additions over the years, they are: #1 The Roaster with Rack (turkey, roasts, casseroles, lasagna), I use this regularly. #2 The Pasta Pentola though I now use it infrequently because I've found the 3-qt covered casserole (included in this set!) is just the right size for soup, sauce, and pasta when cooking for 2-4 ppl. The Oval Bakers (set of 2) are essentials; I use them constantly for individual entree portions, sides, and baked desserts. BEST INVESTMENT EVER!2 TIPS: #1 I highly recommend that you "season" your All-Clad pans before first use, to make them 100% nonstick but without that yucky, peeling surface. (Find simple instructions on YouTube). #2 Never use steel wool pads. Instead clean your All-Clad pieces ONLY with Barkeeper's Friend and they will gleam like new for decades. Seriously.
