My second pair of Allbirds (first pair were different style I think wool runners). Love that you can put them in the washing machine (although I haven't tried it yet). Love the idea of water repellent as they are wool and you don't have to keep applying chemical treatments. I walk A LOT with my dog. Usually beach. Usually challenging rainy cold conditions. Spent my life in gumboots until the podiatrist told me how they are wrecking my feet. So bought these wool dasher mizzles. They are sooo comfortable and look great (better than the photo I reckon) however I did want a different colour but it was out of stock for ages and I got impatient! But I digress. But hey ho, I'm not made of sugar and I'm not going to melt if I get wet feet. The shoes dry off and are back in shape in no time. If my fave colour came into stock I'd still buy them :)

I have many running shoes but, since I jog very early in the morning in grass, my shoes and socks always get disgustingly wet with the mist. So I decided to get waterproof running shoes. I had heard about how eco-friendly Allbirds are and decided to see if they had waterproof shoes. And they did!! Or so they advertised. I read the reviews and they seemed to work great for many people in the same situation as I. So I decided to get a pair and was very excited to finally have a dry feet run.But they are not waterproof... at all. The inner part of the shoes (therefore the socks as well) get soaked as soon as you step on wet grass.Overall the shoes are beautiful, very well made, high quality materials, durable, and super comfortable. I’m an Allbirds loyalist (I’ve been buying them for years), and I absolutely love the dasher Mizzles — both the wool and the eucalyptus ones. I’m especially grateful to have the water-repellent version now that we’re in the rainy season.*I would like to make one comment about the shoes (and this applies to ALL Allbirds shoes). My husband and I both always wear through the toes of the shoes. Our big toe always seems to make a hole in them. When I made a comment to customer service they told me it was a sizing issue (it’s not). And when I asked that they please pass this comment on to their design team, they told me that I should just add moleskin to the toe. I do add moleskin, but it is frustrating that this falls on the customer. Allbirds, please please please ... This has been an issue since the very beginning.

I loved the design and they proved to be very comfortable for both running and hiking. One thing that impressed me was how they provided excellent support for my knees and back, unlike some other sneakers that I've worn in the past. It's amazing how these sneakers helped me avoid any discomfort in those areas. However, one issue I experienced was that my feet tended to sweat after activities, even when I wore them without socks in colder temperatures like -10 degrees. I also noticed this issue during normal daily walking, especially now that the weather is getting warmer with the arrival of spring. It would be great if them had better breathability to address this concern.Despite this minor issue, I still think these sneakers are excellent choice.
These are for cold weather however I have even wearing them in the summer time and so far they seem great however, I want to try them out in Canada’s winter.I like the color however I wish all color options (current/previous/upcoming) were available because I saw different color options in the advertising however those were not available also male female are also different..The shoes have an incredible stretchy material which hugs your feet however only issue was the heel burn that I got in my first 2-3 walks. I guess that normal but the material on the heel starts getting a lot of lint..Apart from this love the shoe and would recommend!
I have 2 friends who wear Allbirds so I finally decided to give it a try. I wish I had done so sooner! These are my new favorite shoes and I get compliments on them too. My feet and legs are always sore because I'm very active and I have fibromyalgia. The one thing that attracted me to this shoe is that I can replace the soles with my Aetrex inserts to give me extra arch support due to my feet discomfort. The soles are very comfortable on their own but I just need extra support. I can wear these all day and even stand for hours and my feet aren't sore. I love them so much I want to try the other styles but I'm nervous about not having the half sizes on the other styles. I'm a 6.5 and these fit me perfectly! I wish I could have them in every color. They're literally the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn and I've tried many of the other major brands (Birkenstocks, Mephisto, Dansko, Abeo). My feet are slightly wider than most but not wide enough to wear a wide shoe. I can't wear Nike because they're too narrow. Allbirds fit my feet as if they were made for me.
I had heard so many great things about Allbirds, and really liked how they're more environmentally and ethically friendly as far as shoes go. Popped into a shop, the store clerks working there were super nice. Tried the sneakers on: they were true to size, and seemed great in the few minutes I had them on, bought them. Then the first time I really work I wore them, my feet hurt so badly. Thought they just needed to be broken in, so every so often I'd force myself to try to wear them again (and ended up missing the generous return window because I kept hoping they'd get better!). They have good arch support, but whenever I wear them it feels like I've walked barefoot on concrete for hours- my heels hurt and it translates up to my hips and low back. And, oddly, for a ... They have good arch support, but whenever I wear them it feels like I've walked barefoot on concrete for hours- my heels hurt and it translates up to my hips and low back. And, oddly, for a shoe marketed for rain/winter weather, they have pretty bad, almost non-existent tread on the bottom. So sadly sticking with my less ethical, but can wear them for 8mi & not have a problem previous sneaker brand.I will say though that they ran true to size, it felt warm, and did generally repel rain/snow.
I also own a pair of Wool Runner Mizzles and much prefer the Dasher Mizzle. The Dasher Mizzle took no time at all to break in and makes me feel light yet secure on my feet. I love the wider toe box, which allows my toes to spread out. While I am not a huge fan visually of the sole getting wider towards the bottom and longer at the heel, it does give me a secure stance and grip at all times (in my Runners, I have inexplicably rolled my foot several times already, on even surfaces - this never happens to me in other shoes). As a preschool teacher, I need good and fun shoes that keep me comfortable and secure all day, keep my feet dry and warm in case of errant watering cans, are easy to clean, and allow for the occasional sprint after an escaping three-year-old :) - ... Slight slippage at the heel inside the shoes was fixed by tying the laces tighter and slightly thicker socks.
I really enjoy these! I've had them since the end of April, so almost a year now.The shoelaces are slippery and not very long, so they don't seem to stay knotted for more than 30 minutes no matter what I do. I can technically double knot them, but it looks bad and doesn't help with them coming undone. I took them out and have them somewhere safe, and the shoes fit fine without the laces. I can run in them without them sliding around much.I haven't been able to wear them as often recently with the snow, although I don't have complaints about them being too cold or lacking in water-resistance; I'm just not willing to expose my ankles to the cold or get snow down my heel from walking through several feet of it. I can't say I've gone out of my way to test out how they hold up to water and puddles, but I haven't noticed any issues, and I'm more willing to walk through a puddle in these than I am while wearing Converse.Speaking of Converse, I'm usually a work boots or Converse person-- or rather, I was before buying these. I became interested in Allbirds to get ethically made, lasting shoes that I could run in, and they're wildly comfortable. I genuinely just can't wear my Converse for more than a few hours now, even if they have insoles, because these support my feet so much better than I was accustomed to before.I've worn them a lot, daily until winter set in. The tread really shows it; the raised portions of the tread are now as bare as can be in the outside edges from the ball of the foot to the toes, and the back of the heel. They're still perfectly comfortable to me. Aesthetically, they're in decent condition; the wool has very little damage and zero pilling, but they're acquired some grime I don't know how to remove. The wool is off-color enough that I can't see the stain I got on it the first week I had them, and the sole is a little scuffed and generally off-white these days. The sole isn't shredding off the shoe though (you know, like every pair of Converse after 6 months), and the shoes are in great functioning condition aside from the tread. The thread for the eyelets is lightly damaged (you can see a couple spots of fraying) but I'm not worried about them.If you're thinking of wearing them with socks but you're on the fence, DO NOT wear socks with them until you're sure that's how you want to wear them forever. I usually wear pretty thick-soled, high cut boot socks, and these shoes are pretty unwearable without them now due to stretching. That's not an issue with the shoe or sizing, just know that they'll stretch a lot more with socks on. I'm new top wearing shoes without socks, and I find the insole gets a little stuck to my foot when I wear them without socks; not a fan of that, but especially before I stretched them out they were very comfortable. They did get a stain on the wool in the first week of wearing them that I wasn't able to get out, which is pretty unfortunate. I again don't know much about stain removal for these, I haven't done much to them to try to clean them.
Aesthetically these shoes are spot on: color (#obsessed), good profile, nice height, etc. Extremely comfortable upper - love this part of the design and make. Excellent quality and work. Five stars. The sole is another story. While the arch support is great, it feels like there is too much support on the outside edge. The first several times I wore them for my usual 4-6mi walks, the outside edge of my feet felt unusually sore. Being someone who pays attention to my stance (pronation vs supination vs neutral), I felt this shoe encouraged me to pronate, at first (so maybe this would be good for people who supinate? Talk to your chiro/podiatrist). Three stars.I bought mine specifically for running—I run on the balls of my feet—and they do provide a good cushion to ...
