Rather than getting some Apple adapter and HDMI cable, which would be double the price, I thought I'd give this a crack. Works a treat, just to connect to a TV for mainly streaming (can't use a Chromecast in this particular situation).

I bought this a couple of days ago. I need to use it for study and (hopefully work when I pass) by attaching this cable to my laptop and a bigger screen. It is easy to use, plug in, no driver installation required. But after one hour or so, my laptop makes a hissing sound, and it never does. Upon investigation I believe that it would be the cable. When I touched the cable at the back of my bigger monitor, the metal part is so hot. I tried it on my older laptop using the usual hdmi to hdmi cable which had a coating and with problem at all. So overall, it is a fail product for work. Do not buy, and please do not stock this product.

This cable does what it says it will! 60hz, works with my MacBook Pro, and is high quality. I’ve learnt with cables you get what you pay for! Best to get one with warranty and a good review like this one!
Bought this cable about half a month ago and have been using it every day ever since. This cable transmitted both image and sound from a Surface laptop (with only Type-C port) to an external LED monitor (60Hz refresh rate). It's one of the few Type-C to HDMI cable in the market that really does the work.

TLDR: Expensive cables are a worthy investment, depending on your setup! Had multiple cheap HDMI cables from various online stores etc. to work with an adapter from my Intel MacBook Pro with USB-C to my ASUS 1080p monitor. The on-going issue I had with all of these was a random black screen occurring from signal loss (either none for several hours, or dozens per hour) that lasted 3 seconds each. As you could imagine it drove me insane over the last several months! After many hours of researching, testing through process of elimination and then live chatting with ALOGIC (based in Melbourne), the issue I had all along was interference related (likely due to Wi-Fi and multiple bluetooth devices) and if I had this cable with 'TPE shielding standard' inside of it, this ... Typing this review over 72hrs after starting to use it, I have not had a single black screen, flicker or a single bad pixel. In other words, it's perfect! Only point to note is the silver HDMI end of the cable gets quite hot, likely also due to the indicator light. If you're paying this much for a cable, you might as well pay the few extra dollars to get double the length, for extra versatility long-term. I'm confident this cable is going to last me several years (even with a future computer setup), just from these few days of use (vs. a few months with cheap cables). For laptop and monitor setups, particularly for several hours each day, I highly recommend this cable!
Strong and flexible. Connector hold to the device. Fixed my problem of laptop not projecting to external monitor via HDMI :)
I bought this to facilitate a dual-monitor set up to work from home and worked out that a USB-C to HDMI cable was better value than a similar adapter widget. Plug USB-C end into laptop, plug HDMI end into second monitor and it displays video out perfectly. Also sends out audio signal - could be handy if your monitor has speakers. IT guy at work appreciated being told about this cable.
works really well with my 5th gen iPad air, but make sure to adjust your display settings in the settings app for full widescreen coverage on your monitor. stage manager is your best friend. for some reason, I thought this would charge my iPad but it doesn't, so look elsewhere if you want a cord that will charge as it displays. does not work for Nintendo switch. but other than that, amazing output with barely any hiccups.
