Haven't experienced any quality issues, but do find the latch on the display port annoying and not easy to use. Also does not seem to natively display 4k res with my MacBook, but I think that's an issue with my Mac rather than the cable.
As has been experienced by some others here, these units come with faulty cables and do not work. The area where the cable connects to the display port connector is broken and the image keeps flickering.

Work great for a few days, started to flicker on the external monitor. no work around. drivers are updated.
I have the same problem as the previous buyers on this page.The USB-C cable does not work at all when plugged in and the display port lights up with no screen activity.Terrible and a waste of my time.
Works brilliantly as described. And there is no need to flip the usbc plug, it works both ways
I've been using these for about 3 months and haven't had any of the issues of other reviewers. The cable works both ways so I can run my Displayport out of my PC to a USB-C only monitor. I can also run USB-C out of my USB-C only MacBook Pro, into my Displayport monitors.Seems well built to me and like I said, haven't had an issue. I'm about to pick up 2 more.
