Ok...let me start out by saying that I LOVE Bobs Red Mill products, especially the Fruit Seed Muesli and the Ground Flax Seed. The reason I only gave this a 3 star is because of PERSONAL PREFERENCE When I bought it, I failed to read the ingredients thoroughly and assumed it would be like the Fruit Seed, just with added coconut and pineapple. It was NOT. It is mostly coconut flakes, which my husband and I like, but just not to that extreme....LOL My bad for not reading the ingredients before buying.

This is mygo to cereal for my lowcholestrol diet. Im just not a fan of oatmeal despite its cholestrol lowering benefits. This cereal is delicious hot or cold. I love the whole grains, sunflower seeds and the raisins. It can also be used as a topping for plain yogurt.

I understand how important a delicious and nutritious breakfast is to start off the day right. Alpen muesli is my top choice - it's become a daily staple that I genuinely enjoy. To enhance its flavor, I like adding sliced almonds, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and pistachios. It's a breeze to prepare too - just pour some milk on top, and I'm ready to go! What's great about Alpen muesli is that it's filling and doesn't leave me feeling hungry after an hour like overly-sweetened cereals do. I prefer to keep my portions small and fill my bowl with just half a cup - that's all I need to feel satisfied!

USES adding to porridge oats or making muesli granola. MAIN INGREDIENTS coconut flakes, sliced almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, macadamia nuts, currants, cranberries, blueberries, strawberry pieces. COLOUR varied colours of different ingredients. SCENT nice smell TASTE very tasty muesli. SIZE PACKAGING 397g in a plastic pouch. WHY AVERAGE no added sugar, nice taste with many added ingredient but too many pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds and hardly the other ingredients like blueberry and strawberry.
Ive heard of this brand, and this is the first chance I had to try it. What I know and have seen in stores is that the products are typically quite steep in cost, but claim to be healthy and wholesome, stemming from a tradition of honesttogoodness approach according to Bobs website. Its a cute husband and wife story of how they created this brand, focused on provided consumers with healthy and natural products. I LOVE the fact that they created an Employee Stock Ownership Program in that all of their employees are actually employeeowners This is remarkableAs a sidenote to this product, if you look on their website, they also offer many recipes, guides to their products, and even cooking classesI tried the Old Country Style Muesli, which is a mix of whole grain ... MoreIve heard of this brand, and this is the first chance I had to try it. It can be eaten hot or cold. To be honest, it wasnt the BEST muesli Ive ever had, and with similar products, you can actually eat them raw like a granola. However, this product is quite raw and requires cooking, either hot or cold. You really need to cook the wheat and oats, and the raisins and nuts need to be roastedtoasted or cooked in some way. Would I buy this again Probably not. The brand is worth trying, if for no other reason than their incredible story
DO NOT BE FOOLED! Not the Alpen Original Muesli I ate in England when I lived there. This box had soft, crumbling wheat flakes, some raisins, unable to identify any nuts or malt flavors. I could have put organic ingredients together myself for 1/4 the price of this box. Not a good bang for my bucks. Very disappointed!Package came from “British Delights” in Mass. was soft packed, in a giant bag, edge of box crushed. No big deal as the inner bag was intact.Guess I’m back to Bob’s Red Mill old country muesli. A very good bargain from Walmart on line, as opposed to this imported imposter..
It has been very difficult to find Alpen during the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown and, although it goes on our supermarket order, it never gets delivered as always "out of stock". So I was delighted to be able to buy a case of six to keep us going. Although it is a short use-by date, for dried food such as cereal, I can't imagine that it will make much difference. I will be ordering more if the lockdown continues. It is usually on sale at our local supermarket at between 3 and 4 a packet. This worked out at 3.66 a packet, so an average price, but also included delivery so it was good value overall.
I enjoy this muesli several times a week, for breakfast. Tastes great, nice crunchy texture, just the right amount of sweetness. Not cheap of course so I often wait until it’s on offer, and then pounce, but actually in terms of satisfaction it’s Alpen that delivers for me.
