I bought this to try out, I have used Elemis for years but after reading the info about the Alpha H I decided to get this little pot and I am impressed. It’s consistency is more balmy than Elemis and Farmacy and much more cream like. It works well for a morning cleanse, I sit in bed and massage it on (it smells lovely) then get up to wash my face so I have a mini mask every morning. It’s a staple in my routine now and I don’t use a lot to cover my whole face and neck. It feels like indulgent and a treat everyday

For the price of this I expected a lot more. The first time I used it I had to double cleanse with it and even then it did not even come close to removing the eyeliner from my lids, even with a damp cloth and hard work trying to remove it. I had to do a third cleanse with my usual balm (a well known Korean brand) and it took off the eyeliner with ease as it always does. The second time I used this I was wearing only light mascara and it struggled to remove that, I went over my eyes with a cotton ball soaked in micellar water after the cleanse and it picked up lots of leftover mascara. The cleansing balm I normally use is less than half the price for a larger tub, and it actually works unlike this balm! So I will be going back to that. Seriously disappointed.

This is one of my favourite cleansers of all time and I'm saving up for the full size version! It really does shift make up especially mascara extremely well. I use a damp cotton pad to remove it. It leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft and clean plus the scent is gorgeous. A really great product from what is fast becoming one of my favourite brands.

I bought this from another retailer a few months ago, and I love it. I have used several cleansing balms such as the ones from Clinique and glow recipe. In my opinion, this product is pretty much what I wanted from the glow recipe one. I found that this one is a similar but improved version of that. Main differences are how much easier the Alpha-H melts your makeup off, rather than having to really work it into the skin. Second main difference is this doesn't leave a residue on my skin like the glow recipe one. Similar prices too, so if you're tossing up between them, get this one!
This really is my favourite and I’ve tried everything from the really expensive brands to high street and it’s top of the list every time. The scent is beautiful and calming, the texture is really creamy and light but it also destroys your makeup (including waterproof mascara) and spf. It’s enjoyable to use and easy to remove as well with a warm face cloth and leaves skin soft and nourished rather than stripped of all moisture like some others do. This is the one product that I make sure I always have.My skin type is combination - oily around my forehead and nose. Dehydrated and sensitive too, so I am often prone to redness and this does not irritate my skin and actually calms it, despite the fragrance.
This is hands down the most beautiful and effective cleanser I've ever used. I was happy with my previous oil cleanser until I tried this after receiving the mini size as part of an order and I'll never go back. Will be reordering it as long as they continue to sell it.It also makes my nightly routine a self soothing enjoyable and relaxing ritual rather than a chore.Once you've tried it you will never go back. It removes sunscreen, makeup, dirt etc.. with ease in one application and a little goes a long way. I also applied it as a mask for ten minutes and my skin was so wonderfully soft and dewy.
I usually use a cleansing oil because I struggle with balms feeling claggy - no such fear here, it glides on and melts immediately, not as much 'slip' as some other balms but I prefer this as you can work it into the skin easier. Removes makeup well, left my skin with no film and very hydrated, lovely subtle scent. The small size has become my go-to travel cleanse immediately, as it's not super bulky either.
It made my skin sting, made my eyes sting and it was not very easily emulsified with water. It reminds me of the super fragranced Elemis cleansing balm which was also a fail for me. I was hoping it'll be more like Green Farmacy balms, which also have fragrance but are very gentle and pleasant to use. I don't even have eczema or rosacea btw, can handle many fragranced products normally.

I use cleansing balms after having used retinol the night before and I absolutely love this one for that purpose. It's so hydrating and I love its milky wash off. I feel super clean, no residue but so hydrated. Highly recommend. I have fair skin that is prone to dehydration and irritation.
