The Alpha Jacket Men by Arc'teryx is the successor to the classic Alpha AR Jacket Men. The fully equipped hardshell was designed for alpine use in all weather conditions. The rain jacket impresses with an excellent balance of robustness and low weight. Made entirely from 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro 2.0, the Alpha AR provides reliable protection from the elements. All exposed areas are made from the more robust GORE-TEX Most Rugged material composite, while the rest is made from slightly lighter and particularly breathable GORE-TEX Most Breathable to save weight. The perfectly adjustable StormHood hood with RECCO reflector in the peak is helmet-compatible and makes it clear that this jacket is designed for serious, even alpine use. The pockets are easily accessible with a rucksack waist belt or climbing harness, while the moulded hem drawcord fixation ensures that the rain jacket does not slide up under the harness even during intense movement. The underarm ventilation with water-repellent zips rounds off the package of this great jacket. The Arc'teryx Alpha Jacket fits very well and offers optimum freedom of movement, even with thicker insulating clothing underneath, as the sleeves are sufficiently voluminous and have gussets under the arms.
