Alpine stars is the best, this protection jacket/protector is awesome! Lots of Velcro adjustability, 6 foot tall 220 pounds fits me perfect, 50 year-old athletic build wide shoulder man. Hate to ride without it now. Lots of breathability lots of adjustability. Also has option for bionic neck brace with a removable inserts in the back to make room for the neck brace. Love it. All my friends are jealous, because their protection is inferior!

The A-10 v2 is a very light and breathable roost deflector. I also have the Alpinestars Bionic Tech V2 jacket, the A-10 is much more comfortable and significantly cooler for me. My range of motion is less restricted compared to the Bionic Tech V2 jacket and I almost forget it's even on. I have larger biceps and forearms which made the Bionic Tech V2 jacket tight on my arms. I have the A-10 paired with EVS TP199 elbow guards and they fit my arms without being tight. I was concerned the protection coverage would not be as good compared to the Bionic Tech V2 jacket, but after one tip over downhill into the rocks, I stood up without feeling the fall and my concerns were gone.

Just bought the Alpinestars A-10 V2 Full roost deflector and lost the side strap in the first ride. I thought this was a good protective piece from the reviews but found that Alpinestars doesn't really care. I contacted the warranty department to try and replace the side straps and they said they cannot. From the warranty: Hi,I checked with the department.These straps are not replaceable parts we offer.Sorry to give you this information.Anyways, If you need help from Alpinestars- look elsewhere. Also, don't lose the straps- they don't have replacements.

I don't usually right reviews on anything, good or bad but this deserves recognition! The Alpinestars a10 v2 is by far the most comfortable chest protection with that much coverage that I've ever worn it vents well and pretty low profile for a level 2 chest and back I can't find a flaw in the thing! If you're looking at this don't hesitate to pick one up, I wish I had sooner
Very comfortable and protective. I lost the front in a rut on an old abandoned highway that still has some asphalt present. The shoulder pads saved the day! I won't ride without shoulder pads ever again, as I use to be more minimalist with my roost. I'm an enduro/dual sport rider, not MX.

I wanted to like this (and keep it) as it looks great, is light weight, feel like it could breathe well.But when comparing it to the Leatt, the 5.5 HD felt like it would protect better, with better coverage along the ribs, shoulders, back (everywhere) and thicker armor. The Leatt kind of envelopes you and the A10 kind on sits on top of you. Some of the edges and one rivet point were digging in uncomfortably on the A10. The A10 back coverage does not go down as far either.The A10 does not accommodate my braces (Leatt and Atlas), except for wearing they on top of the armor, which is uncomfortable. The Leatt holds the 5.5 brace perfectly.The A10 shoulder pads seem durable and mounted securely, whereas those from Leatt not connected as well. An extra ... Morethe Leatt. My my only complaint with this chest protector is that I had to add some padding to the back plate where it rubbed on my spine. The red honeycomb is not soft, but more of a The red honeycomb is not soft, but more of a semi-rigid plastic. After that, it has been perfect and I love it.I took off the shoulder padding and wear it under my jersey with a backpack, Moves a ton of air, has great protection, barely know it's on. If you've decided it's finally time for full protection this is a great choice
I'm 5'11", ~175lbs, athletic build and the M/L fits perfectly. This is my first full chest protector like this, but I decided to splurge a bit on this one since it offers level 2 protection and has the protection by the kidneys/ribs. I've had a few falls on it now without any injuries, and it's comfortable enough that I don't even notice I'm wearing it. It also has never moved while riding or during a crash.It's a bit pricey compared to some other options but I feel like it was worth it for the added protection and comfort.
Wish I would have purchased this before a major rib injury. Fits like a glove, breathes like it's not even there and seems like it would protect in a crash very well on the flanks, which is our most vulnerable spot. Back and chest protection seem substantial. I have complete confidence on the bike now. Fits under the jersey if you desire to look cool, just make sure you're protected. You look cooler without hospital bills.Fits better than the Leatt 6.5 which seemed to be engineered around a rectangle. This fits the body very well.
This is a quality piece of armor that's truly a CE level 2 all around. You feel like bionic man wearing this thing. It's thick, dense plastic polymer with tons of breathing holes. It's a bit warm when you're stopped, but even riding in the trails for hours you don't notice it. I wear it under a mesh jacket with padding and it fits very well. The spinal protection from the back piece is second to none, and it provides excellent side and front coverage.
