Great jacket with more features than just about any other Alpinestars jacket. Love having BOTH the thermal liner and vented pit zips and pockets. Makes this a great jacket for commuting.The leather is 8/10 quality and looks like it will break in over time to get a distressed look.Once you arrive at your destination, the jacket blends in well while still saying ?I got here on two wheels?.This is the hidden gem of the A-Stars lineup.My only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit long and cinching them up with the velcro cuff is uncomfortable.Protip: I added black reflective strips on the shoulder slider - blends in very well.

I absolutely love this jacket. With a back protector added in, it feels super solid and safe. The leather is gorgeous and the airflow through the mesh is outstanding. I've ridden in 90°+ days and it is comfortable all day, no hotspots or weird fitmen tissues. The fitment is also dead on from the sizing guide. It also continues my experience with everything I get from Alpinestars being outstanding in quality and comfort. The fact that I can add an airbag later on is good future proofing too.

I originally thought this jacket may be ok for a track day zipped to my V2 pants but after the crash I would not even consider using this jacket for a track day. Note A-stars does not market this jacket as ok for track days so this is not a dig to the brand.Would I buy again, for the price $600+...not sure. Jacket is super comfortable but for what I'm doing, riding mountain twisties in the south east during the hot summer days along with a track day here and there other jackets that are perforated and have more protection may be a better pic.

Honestly just wanted a budget motorcycle jacket for Florida weather and wasn't expecting much. I love the design and the comfort, but honestly that isn't even the best part. Opening the box with the jacket left me impressed the most. Wrapped in a branded bag was my jacket. Many graphic tags, every single zipper was wrapped in individual little pieces of paper, heck, even the sleeves had been neatly wrapped in paper. This thing even came with a high quality hanger with the Alpinestars logo on it, how cool is that? For roughly $200 this made me feel really special, a wonderful unboxing experience!
Okay here?s the deal, just got back from my first ride in it.As a reference for any of the other shorter ladies out there: I?m 5?2?? and weigh 130 pounds and I usually can go with either a size 46 or 48. Got this in a 48. Arms are a smidge long for me but not bad. I have enough room to wear a light fleece under the jacket with a back protector in the jacket.Comfort: SUPER comfortable out of the box. Felt extremely light. I did replace all the armor with level 2 and added level 2 back protector and it still feels super comfortable. No break in period needed.Thoughts on the ride knit: VERY comfortable love the stretch. I like it. It is comfortable, doesn't restrict movement on the bike and inspires confidence. Underarm air vents work pretty well. Great protection. Washed-out on a switchback turn and slid awhile on my forearm, I'm perfectly fine thanks to the nice forearm padding and the coat is a bit scuffed but still very good. One drawback is removable liner has narrow arm openings so I don't use it, and I have average sized arms (I don't weightlift). Another drawback is the velcro wrist closures kinda suck, I would have to fold the leather sleeve to use the closure straps and it's just not effective; I use gauntlet style gloves (over the cuff) on cold days anyway so the weak closure is not a deal breaker for me. Overall I am happy with this purchase. I am 5'11" & 200 lbs.
This jacket makes riding in warm/hot weather so enjoyable. There are no sharp pokes at any of the arm or neck zippers like I have experienced with other jackets. Perfect fit. I'm 5'11" and 187 with an athletic build and the size 54 was perfect. The piece is really attractive, more so than the pics can covey. The only negative i experienced was taking off the jacket after a 3 hour ride was difficult due to the perspiration form my arms as I was wear a cotton T-shirt underneath. I thing wearing a long sleeve shirt should help with that difficulty.I summary this is my favorite riding jacket. Fit and finish are the best I've ever owned. It's also the most attractive looking. For those who maybe looking at this jacket, yes it?s a winner and I caught it for twenty bucks off. The jacket is better looking in person the splash of hi-viz sets it off from a safety standpoint. I am 5? 7? just under a 44? chest I also added both chest and back protectors the XXL fits me with a smig of wiggle room which for two reason I like, one I hate tight fitting jackets and I want to use some kind of a base layer for colder temperatures. Alpinestars quality is very good, it has adjustable cuffs and bicep as well as waist adjustments for a nice fit. So hopefully this helps anyone interested in this jacket, I would not hesitate purchasing it.

The Fusion has significantly more flow in the chest (I live in Texas, last track day was 104°). I’m willing to pay a lot for a little more air. Bought to work with Tech5 air vest. Fit is always an issue for me. I am broad shouldered, and thick necked. I bought a 62 to fit my shoulders. Its a bit tight around the neck and under the arms and a bit long in the sleeves, but that's to be expected when you are built like me. Though, it would be nice if Astars and others realized that not all 62s are 6ft+ with long arms and a skinny neck... but I digress.The Jacket is lovely and accommodates the bulky Tech 5 air vest well. finish is nice all of the seams appear solid and well constructed. my biggest and only non sizing complaint is that the main zipper is rather tiny making putting the jacket on every morning a bit more focused than I'd like. You will feel the wind through the ride knit. there is no zip out liner (nor did I expect one). there is a flap under the zipper to keep wind out but this makes managing the tiny main zipper even more difficult. It does have a "waterproof" pocket on the inside for personal electronics.All things considered its the nicest jacket I've ever owned and as a house for my Tech Air vest its fantastic. That said, its "ease of use" with tiny zippers, tight necks and pits make it less comfortable or easy to use than other jackets worn. In the end Airvest compatible jackets are thin on the ground this is what it is and works as it should.
