Alpinestars Chrome Sport Hoodie - grey-black XL

I bought this jacket for commuting to and from work and short, casual rides. I was between sizes, medium-large, and chose the medium size, as the arms on the large were a bit baggy on me.I installed a Forcefield brand back protector, I had from a jacket I outgrew. This back protector “just” fit into the back protector pocket of the jacket. With this protector installed, the jacket is a bit tight around the neck when the jacket is zipped up all the way. The fit may be better with the Alpinestars back protector.The sleeves have elastic bands at the cuffs to keep the sleeves from riding up while riding and to keep the elbow armor in place during a “get-off”. I don’t like the feel of the bands around my hands, maybe if the bands weren’t so wide.One note, if you ride with short-cuff gloves which have a Velcro closure at the wrist, the hook side of the Velcro will get caught on the cuffs of the jacket sleeves and abrade them. Used this jacket for a few rides. It’s thick and heavy. I wish the side pockets were zippered. And I wish it had another inside pocket. It is not true to size. Order one size larger. And the waist band creeps up while riding. It would be nice if it also had a longer tail at the back to cover your waistband while hunched over the tank. It will be my spring and fall casual coat to wear on the bike.

Only had this for a short period and I absolutely love it! The jacket looks so good that a couple times I took out the back protector and wore it as a normal hoodie. People don't even notice the shoulder and elbow armor. The armor is so low profile that, at first, I thought I did not get any.I have gotten compliments on the jacket's looks and style and have been told that it looks expensive. It is definitely made of quality materials and it is super comfortable. My wife says I look way better in it than my other jacket that was falling apart.Today I got caught in a light rain storm.
