Alpinestars Missile V2 Ignition Race Suit - Black/White/Red - 54

The suit is perfect for my body. It needs some break-in and the more I wear it the more it feels good on me. The quality is good for an excellent price. The suit is conceived for a riding position, therefore it feels great while riding, but let comfortable if you just walk, obviously. I think that it one of the best options available considering quality and price AND it is airbag ready, which is a definite plus. I ride in Florida, very hot area, and there is enough airflow while riding which makes this suit rather comfortable in hot climate. I recommend it!!

Great suit, great service from Motocard.BUT! The pictures of the suit show the suit to be black grey and white as you can see. Unfortunately the suit is just black and grey! It's not Motocard fault. All companies use same pics of the suit which shows same colours. It's been put under lighting which makes the lighter grey look white. A black grey and white suit does not exist from alpinestars stars to my knowledge. It's just Something I'll just have to live with as I live in England I would have to pay duty to send it back! Something to bare in mind!Also if you are buying from outside the European Union... Do your research on import taxes and duty!!! Fits awesome

I've had a few Alpinestars one-piece race suits, and this is my second Tech-Air suit that I run the vest in. I got the blue one because it looks awesome in person. Pictures online don't really do it justice at all. In real life the blue is more of a metallic blue, like Maverick Vinales (Yamaha MotoGP) wears. it looks dope.Anyway, I'm 6'1 185, athletic build, and wear a 52, and it fits perfect. Like honestly a custom tailored suit couldn't fit better than this one. There's additional accordion stretch panelling in the back, shoulders, and sides too - more than the regular Missile. And the knee position is great too - the actual knee, not the slider, but the slider position is right where it needs to be as well. At 6 1 and 185 with larger than average thighs and butt a 54 euro was a great fit for me . The fit is true to the chart. If you have a more conventional body structure at those dimensions a 52 might suit you better. With a lot of accordion panels and stretch material this suit will accomodate a lot of body shapes in the same size it is a very nice by product of the tech air technology. Out of the box a little snug actually had a hard time zipping it up but after a couple hours it was awesome. Felt fantastic on the bike , like jeans really. The racy cut makes it hard to stand but feels perfect on the bike and the stretch panels make it so easy to move on the bike. I Am very impressed with this suit.I ride in it twice so far on the street ( wanted to break the suit). Find out that it do not need any breaking. It fits me perfectly.There is plenty motions allowed.I wanted the red version( we from Europe want to be seen, because it can save the life.But I somehow made mistake and ordered black, red, white combination. But I Am happy I did , because that combination look amazing. Revzilla did good job to deliver the jacket. ( No problem there whatsoever).Now back to the suit. Colors are amazing and it looks great. Quality is high and suit looks like much more expensive . Great thing is that You have plenty space to position sliders. There is no problem with that as was in old Missile suit. It is important if You ride naked bike, because You need have sliders more to the center right under the knee than on the sides. As You probably know Alpinestars changed the fit and shape of the suits and that is very good news for taller riders.I always had big problem to find the suit for me and I was skeptical about that one as well.I Am 6?2? and My weight is around 211 pounds. My chest around 110 and waist around 99 . I wear pants size 35w36l.Suit is not too short for my height( it is about 2? above my ankles and it is just right length on my arms ( I have presto long arms).Torso is right and with small difficulty I can stand straight in it I have rather athletics legs and ankles ( running a lot) Long arms not too muscular and suit fits me perfect . I Am using Forcefield back protector and there is enough space for it.I would call the fit closer to race fit, but definitely not too tight .The knee sliders are for nothing( You need to change them from beginning ( they would not last even one session on track day. Today was over 90 degrees and when You raid airflow is really good. Once You stop at intersection You too hot, but that is normal with leather suit.All and all I Am happy with that suit.I hope that this review will help You to choose the right size.

If only I could get it on with a Tech Air 10...

Great looking suit, seems well built. If only it actually fit with a Tech Air 10. I went up a size in suit (Medium tech air 10, size 52 Missile Ignition suit, barely 5"10", 168, 30" inseam), and I literally cannot get the suit over the hump. I tried everything. This is my 15th suit, and I have never had this much difficulty. 52 is already a bit large (I would go down to a 50 if I was using traditional armor), 54 will be unwearable in every possible measure for me. I cannot understand how this was designed for this. Getting it, on, even with help (first time I EVER needed help with a race suit!!), and it was still near impossible. I could not be a more off-the-rack medium sized person.

Missile Ignition suit experience

Knowing that sizing is important, I tried on several Alpinestars jackets while in my local Cycle Gear store, since they didn't have any suits in stock. Hoping that EU sizing on the jackets would be similar to the suits, I ordered a size 54. Based on my height and weight (5'9.5" tall, 175 lbs) I thought I might be a 52, but the 52 jackets were too snug, so I ordered the 54. With chest and back protector (not the air bag), the suit fits well (snug but not tight). So far I've used it for one track day and didn't have any fit issues. I'm glad I selected this suit and looking forward to getting back to the track with it.However, there is one issue that should be better clarified by Alpinestars. Actually, there is only ONE back protector that will work (the KR-R) as there is NO pocket in the lining for an insert back protector, even if it is a Nucleon! I would have liked to have known that piece of information when I bought the suit and for this reason, I marked the "features" section below with a low score.

From the other reviews, I was hesitant to order the size that the chart recommended because everyone is saying that it runs small. I am 5'10" weigh 170 and I got a size 50. The first time I put it on, I thought that for sure it was too small, and that was without the air vest. However, when the vest arrived and I tried putting it on, it actually worked. It fits very tightly, but does not cut off circulation/impede breathing. On the bike I am able to move freely as I want. The benefit of it being tight (so I am told) is that it won't snag on something in a slide.I also was concerned about airflow and this delivered. I rode in 85 degree weather and I was actually a little bit cold. Top Notch Quality and Styling, Runs Small Though?

Am rating this suit 5 stars even though I am returning it. I am about 5?10?, 175lbs and ordered a size 50. It was too small - it was too tight and couldn?t fully stand up straight as the legs and crotch area went as high as it could go, pulling my shoulders down. A 52 will probably be perfect. The suit looked awesome and quality was superb. Good protection all around. Considering the length of the legs (short), the sleeves were slightly long (hit about an inch and a half past my wrist). Overall, it?s a good looking suit and liked the design better than the Dainese laguna seca 4, which was the other suit I considered purchasing.

Very nice oh la la

This is my first suit and I was going more for the comfort fit and this is pretty spot on. 6 foot 195 lbs and went with a 56. Able to fit nucleon kr chest protectors and nucleon kr 3 back protector. The knees are pretty big when standing up but form nicely when in riding position. Overall pretty happy with this suit. Wanted to make sure I was keeping this one so I haven't ridden with it on yet. I would order a size up. Track days hopefully coming soon.
