Alpinestars T-GP Plus R V3 Air Jacket - Black/Camo/Red - 2XL

The Alpinestars T-GP Plus R v3 Air Jacket looks great, fits well and offer decent protection for Summer riding. The sizing is spot on - assuming you are wearing fit jackets without extra space. I got mine size M and I am 5'7" 165 lbs. This fits me as well as my other Alpinestars (leather) jacket size 50. So there you go, M in this jacket = 50 EUR (40 US).The jacket has plenty of pockets and I already put an Alpinestars Nucleon KR-1i Back Protector Insert in this jacket, which I highly recommend for extra protection. I basically wanted something lighter for Summer riding and the T-GP Plus R v3 Air Jacket does the trick.

I live in west certainly Florida, a place that has riding weather year round. I'm the summers it gets really really hot and humid. Have had this Jacket out in 90 degree plus weather already and I can say that I am impressed by the amount of that flows thru this piece. It is also the most comfortable motorcycle jacket I have ever owned. It feels like wearing next to nothing when riding and I even upgraded to the level 2 armor. The only things I could find fault with is the main zipper feels a bit flimsy. But so far has not given me any trouble, and the mesh lining bunches up towards the wrists when putting the jacket on. But this is rectified by simply pulling the mesh from the shoulder and it goes right back into place. I bought a new bike off the lot, fresh out of MSF course and asked for a jacket. Yamaha dealership said try out this, Medium fit me well (~38" chest, 30" Waist, 5'9 and ~145lbs). Fit is near snug, might be uncomfortable if you put anything than 1 layer underneath or wear a sweater (granted I don't think this is a cold weather jacket..). BIO armor in shoulders is stiffy; I compared it to CE 2 KLIM D3O armor and the D3O is definitely softer, looks a tad bit more breathable and a slight bit more comfortable, but I don't think it's cost effective to swap them because the shoulder doesnt really need that much comfort like the elbows, which I may end up swapping out for more flexible armor.The side jacket pockets leave something to be desired; I have to definitely take ... MoreI bought a new bike off the lot, fresh out of MSF course and asked for a jacket. Great starter jacket overall, love how tight it fits, especially in the arms because I hate having "bat wings" especially when you have armor weighing down the fabric.I ride in Houston, TX weather since March to now June (70's to high 80's) and although it can get sweaty during low speeds/red lights (don't all jackets though?), after speeding up I've never had a problem with excess sweating.
