Alpinestars T-GP Plus R V3 Air Jacket - Black/Grey/White - M

I absolutely love this jacket. With a back protector added in, it feels super solid and safe. The leather is gorgeous and the airflow through the mesh is outstanding. I've ridden in 90°+ days and it is comfortable all day, no hotspots or weird fitmen tissues. The fitment is also dead on from the sizing guide. It also continues my experience with everything I get from Alpinestars being outstanding in quality and comfort. The fact that I can add an airbag later on is good future proofing too.

Overall the value of this jacket is it's comfort and the fact you can use the tech air 5 vest. The jacket is probably the most comfortable jacket I've ever worn. 6, 2" 200lbs 44" chest, originally bought a 54 it was a little tight in the shoulder and upper back, returned for a 56, fit perfect. Just understand you are giving up some protection for the comfort versus other jackets, details below.Airflow, this is not a perf jacket and does not flow the air of a perf jacket. I have both and wore them back to back, the perf flows more air. That said the rideknit material does let air flow through, if you're moving it's ok but not the same as a perf jacket. I slid for about 20 feet along the road, some of which was on the left side of the jacket, the pants taking most of the slide. The Rideknit material tore immediately through to the skin. I've crashed in other jackets with the Kevlar type stretch material and it does not tear as easily. You are giving up some protection for comfort, for the price of this jacket the Missile may be a better value for protection. I originally thought this jacket may be ok for a track day zipped to my V2 pants but after the crash I would not even consider using this jacket for a track day. Note A-stars does not market this jacket as ok for track days so this is not a dig to the brand.Would I buy again, for the price $600+...not sure. Jacket is super comfortable but for what I'm doing, riding mountain twisties in the south east during the hot summer days along with a track day here and there other jackets that are perforated and have more protection may be a better pic.

Okay here?s the deal, just got back from my first ride in it.As a reference for any of the other shorter ladies out there: I?m 5?2?? and weigh 130 pounds and I usually can go with either a size 46 or 48. Got this in a 48. Arms are a smidge long for me but not bad. I have enough room to wear a light fleece under the jacket with a back protector in the jacket.Comfort: SUPER comfortable out of the box. Felt extremely light. I did replace all the armor with level 2 and added level 2 back protector and it still feels super comfortable. No break in period needed.Thoughts on the ride knit: VERY comfortable love the stretch. With a light fleece under the jacket I wasn?t cold at all. I think this will be a REALLY great jacket in the summer months as the wind truly does go straight through the arms where the ride knit is. I live in AZ and am kinda a sissy when it comes to cold weather so I probably wouldn?t wear this jacket if it was any cooler than about 65 degrees.LOVE how light weight it is and comfortable right out of the box.
