Love the way this jacket fits and looks! If I could change one thing it would be heftier protection in the elbows, etc. The padding just seems thin, but I guess that's how you make it lightweight. A little pricey for something so light but it's Alpinestars so I know it's quality!

I rocked a couple textile jackets leading up to this purchase, but found myself riding more and more aggressively and sport-driven. As a result, I wanted a legit sport jacket and this was the best looking one I could find with great feedback.I'm 5'11", 190 lbs and this fits perfectly. The leather is extremely high quality and looks and feels expensive. I was back and forth about purchasing the perforated version or not, and went with the non-perf because I do a lot of early morning (colder) commutes.AStars really nailed it with the "Strategically placed stretch poly-textile panels". This jacket fits comfortably and snug, yet it's the easiest jacket to take on and off, and on colder rides I can EASILY wear a sweatshirt underneath it. The stretch really does work ... The stretch really does work well, and there's still room to spare for movement. The armor is super tough and looks like it can take a gnarly beating before your skin is affected.Storage for DAYS! 2 front zipper pockets easily hold my clump-o-keys and cellphone, while the inner pockets could hold like 4 more cell phones. Seriously, I've stopped wearing packs because I can stuff so much in this jacket.I have yet to test it on a day warmer than 80 degrees, but I'm guessing it'll be a little warm, but that's why you just keep moving, right?Couldn't recommend this jacket enough. It looks the business without being too 'race-track'- looking and is super comfortable to wear.

The fit on the jacket is awesome! I ordered an XS and it is the first one that didn?t have sleeves that pass half of my hand. It is hard finding proper fitting riding gear as a petite frame woman and this jacket nailed it. The airflow is awesome and the nucleon protection is incredibly lightweight (so is the jacket for that matter, my Banshee riding leggings weigh more I think). I also appreciate the front zippers having a tab to help open and close the pockets while wearing gloves (its about time that little detail made its way into a woman?s textile jacket). The only minor criticism I have is this jacket comes with zero back protection. While I always buy better quality back protectors anyway, jackets usually have a standard protector that you could use if you ... MoreThe fit on the jacket is awesome! While I always buy better quality back protectors anyway, jackets usually have a standard protector that you could use if you chose not to upgrade. This has nothing and because of the mesh, there really is nothing at all to protect your back. Again, I don?t really mind this because I also purchased one to upgrade but for those who don?t plan on that, just know this offer zero back protection as-is. I am beyond happy with this jacket and highly recommend it for those looking for a breathable jacket that fits well that also comes with some well-thought features and the ability to upgrade to top quality protection accessories.

I just got this today and was worried about the size but it fits perfectly. For reference I am 5?2? 141 lbs and like to powerlift, I?m normally between sizes of small and medium but I went with the small and it fit perfect. I will say if my hips were any wider it would not fit as I have the waist straps all the way loose but for now it?s great. My husband has the exact jacket in the male version and has had it for a few months now and loves it. We live in hawaii so it?s a perfect jacket for warm weather even in the black color it doesn?t get so hot that it becomes unwearable. Definitely worth the extra money to get this jacket over some of the cheaper ones here.
Bought for my daugher. She loves the feel and comfort of the jacket. Needs layers for the colder weather.. which in california would be warm in another state., But has never complained she was too cold due to wind protection.I added a back protector in rear compartment of jacket and she doesnt even know its there.
Bought this jacket with the V2 version as I could not decide which one I like more.Out of the box, i could tell that even though they were the same size, the v2 version was slightly smaller. I'm 5"4, 110 pounds. The v3 fit nice and snug, totally comfortable. It has a zipper and velcro at the wrist. Pretty easy to zip it up and the collar part was also comfortable.Sadly, regarding the protections in it, the elbows and shoulders are CE level 1 armors. That would not be a problem, but according to the little manual that came with the jacket, you can't upgrade to Level 2. Since the Stella T-GP plus R V2 jacket came with Level 2 armor, I tried to put that into the V3, but unfortunately It did not fit. How on earth does the company not think about this? The soft, ... The soft, spongy protector that comes with this jacket is ridiculous. Especially the elbow part, since there is no added shell there, like on the shoulders. All in all, it is a decent jacket, but if the V2 would fit somebody i can't see any reason to spend the extra money and buy the V3 version. It's more expensive and offers less.
I know the importance of wearing the proper gear, but I also like to look good and this was actually my first jacket. After looking at some jackets mainly the GP plus R v2 jacket I went with this one because of a few reasons. It looks slimmer. I like the minimal seam sleek fit and looks more modern with a contemporary style. It has a little bit less padding than other Astar jackets but still quite a bit more than others too. Its perfect for everyday. The leather quality is very durable thick and sturdy and also seems to provides adequate padding for semi aggressive street riding. I thought it was going to be very hot, but the stretch fabric on the inseam of the arms also provides some decent airflow, that in addition to the mesh liner I do feel a good breeze on the ... The only thing I wish this jacket had were more reflective details. I wish the red stripe on the elbow had another stripe with reflective on it, just a lil bit. Over all, the jacket makes me feel like a boss. It gives me great confidence and I never get on the bike without it. I've recently bought it with Astar gloves and boots and when I'm wearing all my gear I feel way better. When you love the way you look in all your gear, you'll definitely wear it more. Spending a lot of money on good gear is totally worth it especially when it fits your style too.
I just received this jacket so have tried it on but not ridden in it. So far I can say it seems to be a very high quality jacket that uses thick, durable leather. Its a solid jacket with some heft to it so I feel it will protect me very well if I go down. Regarding sizing, I have a 43" chest and 38" waist and the size 56 was way to tight and the size 58 seems to fit perfectly though I do wonder if there is room for an airbag deployment in this. I tried it on with the Tech Air 5 vest and it is a good fit for a track jacket but I really am not totally confident that the expansion panels will allow for a comfortable deployment of the airbag.
This is Great white shark of jackets available at the cost of a filet of salmon .Fitment is a bit large in the arms for me, I have an A* jaws and a Gunner WP for comparison , the Tech air fits snugly(correctly) in the chest and shoulders for me but the forearms could almost be considered a size too wide. I'm 6'1" 210lb and 'average', neither chubby or athletic. It is perfect length(in the arms) , but I did note that because the forearm pads extend up to almost the very last 1/2" of the arms in the jacket that the cuffs of my GP-Tech gloves didn't close as much as they did on the Jaws, so if you have problems with closing the gauntlets on (smaller) jackets this may be a problem. The perforation all over the jacket kept me very breezy while riding ~ 50mph on in ... I ordered a few different jackets actually, and compared to the others, this one is top notch. It fits GREAT, and runs true to size. I am very busty and this one is not binding across your chest. I ordered the upgraded back protection and the chest protectors as well. Still fits amazing. At first I was hesitant because it definitely fits like a shoulders forward aggressive riding stance. Great when you're on the bike, but we also wear this walking around before and after riding. I got used to it though, and I think it is starting to soften up in the shoulders to be more comfortable. All in all, for the price, I can say it is the top price of all the jackets I looked at, but it's also the top quality and fit of all of the jackets I looked at. So you get what you pay ... I do wish it had some zippered vents, so that is why I didn't give it a 5 star on features. But the leather is perforated. And it still gets great airflow.
