The display is large enough to give me all of the information I want to see at a glance. With moderate usage, I get eight days between charges. The screen is very responsive to scrolling up, down, and side-to-side. The stem is a nice touch too! The band makes it so very light. I like the ability to customize the information I see. Only a few things I'm not particularly fond of. First, it would be nice to see the pics sent via text. Also, I would like to be able to send a voice reply to a text, instead of just ten stock answers. I would also like to be able to customize the alarm tone. I am an avid smartwatch enthusiast. I have watches from different brands. I am the type of person that likes the latest and greatest watch. I am contemplating making the switch from Garmin to Amazfit mainly for cost reasons. Amazfit watches are about half the cost. Amazfit has come a long way with the Balance and is a really nice watch. Positives are big bright and detailed screen. Love all the fitness and health options. The band was soft and more comfortable than my Venu 3. I like the Zepp app and it is very configurable. It took my a while but got the watch set up exactly how I want it. Screen is very responsive and easy to navigate. Not on to the negatives. The big thing for me is accuracy. I can go for a casual walk and was alarmed when my heart rate on the watch quickly spiked to over 150. I know I am in good shape and this is not the case. Feel like the Garmin is more accurate. I found the sleep tracking to be pretty good but will sometimes record sleep when I am awake. PAi is really cool but too easy to get. After the first week I was almost 200 PAI and I am a 3 day a week workout guy and not overly intense workouts. I would also like to see Zepp Pay in North America, this was a disadvantage. I would also like to see partnership with a music streaming service. Nobody uses MP3s anymore and I was surprised this is the only way to download music. Overall I find this watch to be comparable and close to my Venu 3 but with less accuracy. I am debating whether to stay with Garmin and swallow the extra cost or make the switch. I am eagerly anticipating the TRex 3 release as I would like to add a rugged watch for those occasions when I need something durable. When that watch is released I will make the decision to swith or go back to myGarmin. Tough choice and kudos for Amazfit coming up with a watch that I can say now competes with Apple, Garmin, Samsung.

The battery life is what makes this a 3 star. Its very vanilla and more so pretty upset you all advertise this as an independent GPS system. Thats not true or this one is not equipped correctly. The ConsAn independent GPS would be like a garmin, something I can independently track myself with ONLY the watch. Literally the only reason I bought the watch. The "navigation" is a lie as well. They wrote their marketing well to mislead you. You have to be connected to a phone and even at that I can only find 1 Nav. app that actually semi works with the watch. And its a true battery life.Very clean, easy to use and good functioning OS. Smooth and for a smaller screen (inherently to a watch) the touch screen is accurate. For fitness tracking, meh. The heart rate monitor will make you panic with its wild inaccuracies. It has a barometer and altitude meter which is reall awesome. And accurate compass which for an electric watch is done probably the best i have seen. Its a bigger watch face than most.SummaryIf this watch had a true independent GPS to give Grid Coordinates or even just use separate from a phone with MAPs I would say this could be a the best available watch out there bang for your buck. As is, I should have spent just the 50 bucks on one of the off brands, same difference in capabilities. 5 stars battery life, 3.5 stars interface, 0 stars for GPS, maps and navigation, brownie points for the barometer and altimeter. 2 stars total.

I like the watch and would recommend it. Below I'm giving Amazfit a few suggestions that would improve it.It would be great if I could start a text from the watch. I can reply to texts in several ways, which is great, but I can't send a new text from the watch. I don't know why that would be so hard of an option for Amazfit to make possible in the OS.Also, when I use the indoor rowing machine workout app, the watch counts rowing as steps. In a 35 minute rowing exercise the watch counts about 3,500 steps! Surely the step counter could be disabled during non-walking/running type workouts. I imagine the same issue would exist during outdoor kayak or rowing exercises. My Garmin watch (Fenix 6) doesn't count steps during these exercises, so I know it can be ... MoreI like the watch and would recommend it. My Garmin watch (Fenix 6) doesn't count steps during these exercises, so I know it can be done. One last thing, it would be great if music downloaded to the watch could but organized into folders for better playback control. As it is, if I download a 100 songs to the watch they are all in one big list so it not easy to play songs from a certain album or by a particular artist.Other than these and a couple other minor issues I really like this watch. It has a lot of functionality. The GPS is accurate. The heart rate seems to be as accurate as other watches I own or have owned. The watch is pretty light and low profile which I like. And the price was right.
I looked at everything from a Google watch to a Samsung watch to no-name watches when purchasing a smart watch. I wanted all the bells and whistles, and this sure does have them all! I love the ease of using Zepp Flow, and Zepp Coach motivates me. If I don't understand something about a feature of the watch, customer service normally replies withing 1-2 days, and are actually kind and helpful until you understand. And my battery doesn't last that long, but I have ALL features turned on, including a battery intensive watch face that's always on. So, you can't fault the watch for that. But the part that surprised me is the watch charges very quickly for what I was expecting! If they keep making updates to the watch or release a similar model, I would definitely buy again!
PROS:The smart watch itself is pretty has pretty good clarity, features, and good battery life.CONS:Many watch faces you have to pay for on the Zepp store. If you want to monitor your sleep, you need a paid yearly plan to unlock features that should already be unlocked on your watch. The O2 measurement is manual in which it takes up to 30 seconds and if you move your arm one inch the test fails and you need to start over. Also when the O2 test fails it tells you to make the watch tighter to your arm which is very uncomfortable. Also, the Zepp app isn't very user friendly. I want to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit and Kilometers to Miles but didn't see the option to change it on the watch or the Zepp app. In the USA we use Fahrenheit and Miles for ... MorePROS:The smart watch itself is pretty has pretty good clarity, features, and good battery life.CONS:Many watch faces you have to pay for on the Zepp store. If you want to monitor your sleep, you need a paid yearly plan to unlock features that should already be unlocked on your watch. The O2 measurement is manual in which it takes up to 30 seconds and if you move your arm one inch the test fails and you need to start over. I'm an owner of Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and considering going to Galaxy Watch. With this in mind when buying a watch, you need to consider battery life, features, intuitive software, and ease of use on the watch itself. You can't have it all so pick what's the most important to you.
Sharing my experience with the Amazfit Balance:Customer/Tech support has been very patient and responsive (mainly by email) during the first weeks of my purchase. The watch presents itself with a beautiful design (I own the Meadow special edition), good material quality and high screen resolution. The device is user friendly, easy to read and set up.The battery is great. The first charge lasted a week with several GPS activities.Price is very reasonable and I found, included with the Zepp app, a prepaid card, to buy watch faces and apps.On a down note, the setting of the notification definitely needs some improvements. I have a Garmin watch and the notifications set up automatically as soon as I pair my phone. The "reply-to-text" feature works on Android phones only, but it looks like to be a standard characteristic for a non-Apple watch. The "+" option to add another person to a phone call is missing. Electronic payment is not available in the US.Hopefully Amazfit will solve these issues with the next software updates.Overall it is a 5 stars experience. I love my Amazfit Balance
I've been using the Amazfit Balance watch for over two weeks and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I was skeptical about the price being so much less than the other big brands. But I was surprised at how much more I'd like this than the Samsung and Garmin watches that I used to use. First of all, the battery life is amazing. I use the always on display and increased the HR monitoring to the frequent setting. I also train 4x a week alternating between jogging, cycling, and strength training in the gym. Even with all of that, I still have only had to charge it after a week. There are so many free watch face options that allow me to see that stats that are important to me. I've also used the bluetooth calling. While the volume isn't that loud, it was loud enough to have a quick conversation. I mean, you'd have to expect that from a speaker that's in a watch. Overall, I am super pleased with this smartwatch. 5 stars and highly recommend! I got my wife the Amazfit Bip 5 (which she loves) so I could get the Balance for myself. I'm going to get the Balance in Gray as an early Christmas present to myself and probably the Pink Bip 5 for my wife!
I bought this as my 'dress' watch. With the nylon band, it is very light and comfortable. I also like that it has built-in Alexa since my entire home is a smart home running primarily Amazon Alexa products. The battery life is incredible. I have not charged the watch for several days and it is still at 75 percent. The screen us bright and large so you can actually read your messages. The response time is fast. Really love this watch. Tracking of steps is accurate (matches my Samsung Health and AllTrails GPS tracking. I also like that you can customize the functions of the buttons. I have not yet explored all of the other features of the watch, but so far everything that I have tried works as expected or beyond expectations.
I have had Pebble, Garmin, and various Fitbit smartwatches. This is my second Amazfit - my first was the GTR3 (I also tried but returned the Trex2). The Balance has a great bright large OLED display, thin profile that works well with long sleeves, lightweight, and good standard size 22mm strap. I use it on iOS and the notifications work well and it syncs most data with Apple Health. Battery life is amazing - similar to Garmin and better than Fitbit - Apple watches are pathetic in comparison to most other brands. The optical HR sensor is significantly better than prior generation Amazfit plus it can pair with Bluetooth HR straps if you want maximum accuracy. GPS works well. The only improvement I would suggest (not that I have scratched it yet) is Gorilla Glass or sapphire and maybe 10 atm water resistance like some of the other Amazfit models. I recommend AmazFaces for finding more watch faces or editing or customizing your own. Target also provided good support when I had a problem with my order as well.
