Amazing Battery Life

First off, I want to say that I have had several smart watches in the past, mostly Samsung. And I love the functionality of those watches, but after purchasing this Amazfit GTR 4, I am never going back to Samsung again. The Amazfit watch has almost all of the features I used with my old Samsung watch, as well as many more, but is far more configurable. In addition to this, the battery life completely blows away the competition. For a real life example, I have been using my GTR 4 watch for the last 11 days and it's only now down to 23%. With all other smart watches, the battery would only last for 1-2 days at the most. This watch is amazing and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new watch.

Better than an Apple Watch for me.

Incredible!!! Seriously I had never heard of this brand before but the Apple watches were so expensive and very square this watch did everything I wanted and was a fraction of the price plus the battery has lasted 12 days so far and I still have 8% charge left might make it another full day or so you can change the watch, layout and face to look like anything you want sometimes it cost a dollar or two to get a really cool face but that’s just a one time purchase. I swapped out the band for that truly custom look. I absolutely love this watch.

Delightful and highly recommended

This is a gem of a device - better in most ways to the Apple or Samsung alternatives. The watch looks fantastic with its design and screen, the battery lasts an incredibly long time (and charges quickly), the UI is fast and fluid and easy to use, the workout libarary is huge, and the auto-detection works a charm. This would be worth the money at 2x the price honestly. Its fantastic. In addition, the amout of information and control in the Zepp App is pretty remarkable and exceeds what is avalable from Samsung, Fitbit, and even Apple. Downsides? Alexa doesn't say connected, the heart rate sensor can get confused occasionally, and there aren't many Zepp OS apps. Not all data is written to Apple health or Google fit.

Excellent smart watch with everything I need
16 February 2024

I use an iPhone 13 with this watch and it works beautifully. All my notifications and text messages show up, and it has excellent sleep tracking, step counter, heart rate monitor, and blood oxygen content measurements. Best of all - it lasts all week on a single charge wearing it 100% of the time - even with the always on display and continuous health monitoring turned on. Plus there are (limited) downloadable apps if what you need isn't built in - I can even control my Tesla from the Amazla app. Amazfit watches (I have 2 different styles) are a bang for the buck. Well-built, attractive, and full of features. I would (and already have) recommend this GTR4 or the Amazfit Balance to anyone. If anything, I'd recommend a rebrand to Zepp (the phone app name and the ... MoreI use an iPhone 13 with this watch and it works beautifully. If anything, I'd recommend a rebrand to Zepp (the phone app name and the watch's OS) would be a good idea, as I think Amazfit brand sounds cheap, but this watch is so much more than the cheapo watches out there (I have 9 smart watches overall). Buy this watch and you won't regret it!

Great Value
15 May 2024

Smartwatches have sure improved over the last 3 years! I am very happy with this Amazfit GTR4. I use it daily to track 4-5 hour hikes, and I consistently get 5-6 days before it gets to about 20%. If my workouts were shorter I know it would last much longer. It recharges in about 45 minutes. I wasn't sure about the woven nylon strap, but it turns out I prefer it over the fluoroelastomer strap. Settings are user-friendly.

Great looks with mediocre performance
6 April 2023

This is great looking watch that is feature rich with a long battery life. It's sleek looking and can go well with office attire or gym clothes .However, some of the features miss the mark. The GPS is so far off on mine that Strava won't even recognize I've completed segments on routes I've run; the GTR's GPS shows my path off trail. It also constantly sends me notifications that the GPS needs to be connected to the app and updated (the frequency of needed updates is 5x that of Garmin or Coros or more). The HR monitor also becomes wildly inaccurate as soon as a sweat. And lastly, I get a nice little chemical burn from the metal on this watch if I wear it more than 24 hours. Amazfit was nice enough to send a new strap to see if that was the issues, but it ... MoreThis is great looking watch that is feature rich with a long battery life. Overall, I really like the watch and would buy it again. Battery life is great. I'm not sure the sleep data is very accurate. I can get up and be walking around and sometimes it's still in sleep mode. The bluetooth setup was a bit confusing though it stays connected to my Pixel phone and I like getting the text and call notifications, as well as having the ability to answer or make a call. Being able to answer a text with a canned response is very helpful.Heart rate monitor seems accurate compared to a BP/pulse arm cuff, as does oxygen data. I've only used the biking and walking programs but the information seems accurate. I used it in a pool without any problems. The display and overall appearance of the watch are really nice. Can't beat it for the price.

So complete to have such flaws

The watch is amazing. So many functionalities, a great display and an even greater battery life.BUT at least 3 items are SIN in a such complete watch:1) there is really no functional way to set an interval training session. The available one is so rude and simple that is practically useless. Worst, there is no way to customize it. You can only determine if there is a heating phase or not(without adding duration , distance or HR zone). It let you only add one type of run, a rest time and how many reps. No space to add different running distances within the interval train.2) lack of real time support. Garmin offers support almost 24x7 by chat or mail.3) for those who get training schedules for a sport and strength, I havent seen a way to import the daily ... MoreThe watch is amazing. And as long as it's very limited, I cannot even set it manually because Amazfit does not allow anything beyond the very simple settings its built in.For those who practice any amateur sport, as a hobby, but has a consistent practice that needs a little bit more than the settings of past decade watches, i have to admit that garmin still leads the choices.Unfortunatelly there is no support we can talk to(or chat) real time to look for a model that perhaps overcome these issues Im bringing here.

The best overall smart watch
25 December 2023

I have a Samsung and Apple watch, they both offer great features and somewhat more accurate readings for health and workout, but one BIG drawback is their battery life. I have to constantly remember to charge either watch or they're dead. I love the Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 watches. They have about average accuracy which is good enough for my use, but most importantly they have beautiful screens and long battery life. I even use the always on display from 8 AM to 10PM and only have to charge them about every 5 to 6 days. If I turn off the always on display then it will last at least 10 days with average use. I like the Amazfit watches mainly for the long lasting battery and would highly recommend them over all other smart watches for the average person who doesn't ... MoreI have a Samsung and Apple watch, they both offer great features and somewhat more accurate readings for health and workout, but one BIG drawback is their battery life. Let's face it, for most people it's not that important if they burnt 300 kcal or 280 kcal or if their blood oxygen is 99 or 89. Most want a nice watch that is comfortable to wear and can be used for music and phone calls with long battery life. The one thing I miss is having a on-display keyboard to type message like I can with the Samsung. I hope that will be added to Amazfit in the furture.
