Amazon Fire 7 2019 Tablet (16GB, Plum)

We bought the kids version for my daughter and while generally it’s a decent and well priced kids tablet it did have some flaws that caused us to replace it twice. The charging port it not well made and no matter what cord you use it seems to have internal issues after a bit of use. The battery life is not great, specially since the brightness of the screen cranked all the way up can barely be seen in sunlight. We ended up upgrading to the 10 since it had much better reviews but in the end we returned the 10 because because once again straight of the box we kept getting some weird charging alert. Finally Amazon got us a Fire 7 that hasn’t had any issues so far but we’ve decided once this one dies we’ll be going straight to an ipad. Also note that our daughter only uses her tablet for a little bit before bed and on long car rides. So it isn’t as if the tablet is heavily used and abused.

Best Tablet For The Price

It seems plenty fast for the simple tasks I put it through. The color & clarity are good but not as good as my phone. The small storage of 16 GB is not much of a problem since I could add a micro SD card to it. It plays streaming videos just fine; the audio is good too. It is the most portable tablet I have, and it is quite sturdy also. The headphone jack is handy and works well. All my Amazon content synched beautifully and it is super easy to navigate around.

Best affordable tablet

I have owned several Kindle Fires and they have all been awesome. I've only needed to replace after I've broken the screen or after the battery wore out after years of service. Customer service from Amazon has always been amazing and knowledgeable. This 7th edition is perfect for my needs. I use it to check social media, email and a few gaming apps. It responds immediately with a fast processor. Tons of storage space, I am able to download books and movies quickly. Highly recommend this tablet over even the higher priced competitors.

Everything Amazon in one device

The video playback and speed are good. And image quality is good too, as well is picture quality with the camera. Its super lightweight and it came with a free trial to prime. Can't complain about those things. I didn't realize how small it is and I prefer a larger screen, this one isn't much larger than my phone's screen. This would be a great device for people who are heavy Amazon users. It's got everything Amazon related easily accessible. I am only an occasional user of Amazon though and I just don't see this being very useful for me. I keep being shown advertisements everytime I wake the screen up to use this tablet and that is really annoying. And there are tons of amazon products that i don't need or use that are preloaded and taking up memory. I was also ... MoreThe video playback and speed are good. I was also disappointed to find that the one and only game I like to play on my old android tablet is not compatible with Amazon Fire. I really wanted to like this tablet, but its just too hard for me to get used to as its really different from any android tablet I've ever used before.

Great features

First off let me just say that this is the cutest little tablet that is very light easy to carry. My husband has managed to be able to carry it in his back pocket. He is the one that likes it so much he practically took over the tablet and it has become his. The battery is lasting after fully charged and the picture and sound are both very clear. Easy set up directions that are very quick. Yes we recommend this tablet and look forward to many more electronics from amazon.

Great multi use device

I got this Amazon Kindle Fire 7 a couple weeks ago. So far I am loving it. My kids are able to download free games to play and it keeps them occupied in or out of the home. The Amazon app store has tons of free apps to download. The kindle is small enough for me to carry in my purse when out. I can surf the internet, read books, play games, listen to music, and watch movies. It's real easy to setup and navigate. The only downside for my kids was that they could only download games that are available on Amazon so a lot of the games that they play on their phones through Google play weren't on there. But Amazon did have games that were similar to those.

I love this Tablet!

The Amazon Fire 7 is a versatile tablet that works with all my favorite Apps. I was able to download my existing books from Kindle as well as from other apps. It also works with my knitting tablet apps which makes me ecstatic. The picture is amazing when watching my streaming apps and for a tablet the sound can get loud. Louder than I would expect from a tablet. The Fire 7 is my go to for traveling. I can store my itinerary as well as other lists that I need. Overall, I could not be happier. I carry this tablet in my purse and it goes with me anywhere.

It's not bad

I'm just going to start out with the cons and they're connected:the battery life sucks. I watched a 2 hour movie on it the other day and it sucked just about half the charge out of it in that time. The other issue is that it takes so long to charge. My phone is a Galaxy S8 and it takes an hour and a half to charge from 0%. This tablet takes 3 hours. The pros make it worthwhile though. You can download apps that you would use on your phone. You have parental settings which are great if you have kids. It fits perfectly in my purse! I do like that the font size can get bigger which is sometimes helpful when reading or looking at recipes. It has a reasonable(could be faster) processing time when uploading books or websites. Perfect tablet for everyday needs.

I really love this Amazon Fire 7 tablet. It is perfect for every day use. You can connect to wifi and watch movies, play games, read books and a lot of different things. This device has a strong processor. It runs smooth and doesn't lag when running different apps at the same time. Gaming is very good quality. The screen quality is very clear. The sound is very clear and sounds awesome. You can navigate maps, email. Camera resolution for pictures and videos is very clear. I would recommend this, for the price, you can do a lot of things on it. You can set up different profiles for different family members. Buy a good case and that'll keep it in good condition. I also want to mention that it has the Alexa feature, which I think is super cool!!

So convenient!

I like to look at my phone while the tv is on in the background. I check my social media, and look up things on the internet. It’s so nice to have a bigger screen (that was a great price) to do that with! This Fire Tablet is bigger than my phone, but still small enough to hold comfortably. The colors are beautiful, and it pops up each webpage quickly. Wherever I go, all I have to do is hop on the WiFi, and gooooo! This does all I need it to do, I can get the apps I love, and it lasts a long time- when the TV isn’t on, I can lay in bed and easily catch up on my shows!! Thanks for making a great device!!
