Amber D400 400 ISO Colour Negative Movie Film (35mm Film, 27 Exposures)
Delivering cinematic image quality for 35mm film photographers, the Amber D400 color negative film is re-formatted movie stock that has been prepared and packaged for use in still cameras. The traditional anti-halation layer has been removed from the film, enabling its development in C-41 chemistry as well as the motion picture standard ECN-2 process. Benefitting from the distinct qualities of a low-speed motion picture stock, this daylight-balanced film is well-suited for outdoor shooting in bright conditions, exhibits a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27°, and becomes a cool blue tone when shot in daylight. Although the canisters are non DX-coded, a DX-code sticker is supplied for use with automatic cameras.

First time shooting any cinematic film and really loved it! Beautiful tones.
I've shot maybe 3 or 4 rolls of this film so far, and I think it's really fun! I love to shoot skate and surfing on it for a 1970s Cali feel. The color shifts are kind of warm and cool at the same time depending on the lighting. I've never really noticed only getting 25 frames instead of 27 as mentioned by other reviewers, but am not hugely bothered by that.
It gives off such a rosy, blush shade. Very leaning into reds. Great for nature photography or for something romantic, summery. Would try again.
Sadly, the frames were all color-shifted. But not in that fun sort of Lomo kind of way. Quite frankly, they were unusable. Other frames appeared fogged. Shot this roll on a Canon F-1N and was only able to get 25 frames. So, given the poor outcome, high price and less than advertised frames I won't be purchasing this again.
I purchased two rolls of Amber D400 I did get some good photos with it while using my Pentax ZX50. The issues I had with this film is it states that there are 27exp with this film. I was only able to get 25exp on each canister I used. Considering the price and the number of frames I would recommend CineStill 400d for similar results 36exp and it is a dollar cheaper.
It has this certain softness, rosy and red leaning colour. Pictures are nice, with certain red halation popping up. I like it.
