AMD Ryzen 9 7900X AM5 CPU

At first i thought i would regret not dishing out the extra cash for the 7950x, but i couldnt pass up the performanxe of the 7900x at this price point. Actually, I paid $420 for it because I price matched from Amazon (make sure to always compare pricing). At nearly $150 cheaper, this CPU is straight MONEY. Extremely fast and powerful, handles any task i throw at it. Im able to stream at mad settings and game at 1440p max settings with ease, and it seems like this processor doesnt even blink. Its truly amazing how far the technokogy for these processors has come. So with all that said, I think value plus performance wise the 7900x is the way to go. Its very unlikely you need that much power for just gaming and streaming. The 12 cores in the 7900x really means this processor is able to take on pretty much any task(s) for about 98% of the PC population. Highly recommend.

Hello! I’ve upgraded from the FX-8350 the so called “Lawsuit” AMD cpu series. This major upgrade gave me an increase in frames from roughly 15ish FPS to 70-80 FPS for Elite Dangerous Odyssey (note: this is with a RTX 3060 GPU). The game itself is horrible optimized but is what made it a good test haha. The temperature is definitely higher than my old cpu. With normal temps during gaming is roughly 60-70C. Idle it is roughly 50C depending on ambient temps which is normal 68F in my apartment. (Note that my cooler is a 360MM AIO so the cooling is pretty nice). Definitely worth the upgrade and this should last me many years. I’m happy with this upgrade that’s for sure!

I bought this a month ago, I was kind of worried about overheating, because all the reviews that I saw talked about how hot this CPU runs. But I have had no problems with it. There is a problem with the ddr5 ram being compatible with the motherboard, but that has nothing to do with this cpu. The CPU is excellent so far. Allocated vram was limited, for some reason, to 500 MB however I was able to allocate 2 GB of ddr5 memory to the vram. It improved the GPU a lot. The igpu of this CPU is not good enough to handle a titles, example: it struggles to run even an older game like Red Dead redemption 2,, in fact it is unplayable even at 1080p with lowest settings. But with a dedicated GPU this CPU allows for excellent and far game playing.
