This is NOT the same American Crew Fiber that I've been using for the last several years. Inexplicably, they changed their formula to something softer and that does not hold all day the way it used to. The first time I saw this, I thought the supplier either sourced a fake batch or didn't store it property. This is infuriating. To change the product being sold with no announcement or disclaimer label is dishonest at best and counterfeit at worst.

I have been using this product for years. The last Fiber I ordered is different. I still had some left from my previous Fiber and I can compare. The new fiber I received feels gluey, and makes my hair sticky and knotty. I really don’t understand why they would change this product after so many years. I am so disappointed.

I used to swear by this. But it is no longer high hold. I don't know what has changed. I had tried molding clay, grooming cream...and this was the best by far. Something has changed. The last two weeks I have used it and it's like nothing has been in my hair at all. I've had to go back to hair spray to help it out this week. Terrible!

So far I’m pleased with the results that Crew Fiber has on my fine/thin hair.I’ve only been using it for a few days.I’ve been using Fiber in conjunction with Crew Fortifying Shampoo.My hair immediately looked fuller and natural with an appropriate amount of shine and manageability.My hair still looked good in the morning with a quick brushing.No bed head.
I have found the same issue as other reviews. I purchased recently and noticed it was so much softer. It did nothing to style my hair. This used to be the ONLY product that would work for me. I've been buying this for like 15 years and now I have nothing that I can rely on. It's going to be hard to find a replacement. Please go back to the original formula. I don't care if it will cost a lot more. I need something that works for me. The current product is now useless.
I have used this product for almost 20 years. It used to be a firm consistency and leave your hair with a dry look. Now it's sloppy and makes your hair look greasy. I'm obviously not the only one who has noticed this. Why has crew destroyed what used to be a great product. I won't buy anything crew again.
I used to love this product and I've used it for years. Like another customer review on here, I also think the product has changed and for the worse, unfortunately. The other review was from the UK, but I'm in the USA and I'm seeing a change as well. I've tried two different retailers and both purchases had the same quality issues. It used to be more solid to the touch and now it is much more gooey. It doesn't hold my hairstyle nearly as well as it used to. I was debating between one or two stars but decided on 1 as I would not recommend this anymore and there are better fibers out there.
I’ve been using Fiber for years. It was the PERFECT product. Bought a new puck a few weeks ago on Amazon. Either the formulation sold on Amazon is different from what Great Clips carries, or the formulation has altogether changed! New product is not good. Will no longer be buying.
Normally, I alternate between Mitch Reformer and Aveda Thickening Paste, but I thought I'd give this a try since there was a really good sale on it. True to form, I was underwhelmed as I usually am with American Crew products. I've never understood the popularity of this brand. Anyway, Fiber is basically a really hard wax that comes out of the can kind of chunky instead of smooth, so it's a little hard to get just the right amount. While it does a decent job, I've noticed that it can make your hair look a little greasy if you put it in when it's a little too damp. If you wait until your hair is dry to put it in, it's really, really hard to work through and makes you feel like you're pulling your hair out. If you like this, good for you. I don't.
For my grandson who has a short textured style. This product works great and controls his hard to manage spots. It washes out easily. You don't need to apply a lot to get the look you want.
