I have no doubt this wire will hold up to large toothy fish! One word of caution though. #19 wire is strong and therefore not the easiest material to tie a haywire twist.
Good wire. Strong. The brown camo isn't quite as noticeable in the water as the straight stainless is. Can be used for leaders or even to make lures like inline spinners. I sometimes cut at an angle and use the sharp end to poke paint out of jig hooks. Going to attempt to bend some into sucker nose rigs for musky.
I fish in waters that have Northern pike. Many other anglers keep saying that they feel thaey catch more fish by not using leaders and putting up wiht the cut offs. Never really felt that way as Northerns have cut off some faily spendy terminal tackle and I feel I would like to land the Northern that did the cut off. The cable type leaders that are sold in local sporting goods stores are made out of bulky nylon coated cable and have very large snaps and swivels and do look pretty obvious, especially in clear water. I have tried the knottable cable but it still has issues with kinking and is alsomore obvious. This stuff is great. I use the 27 pound and 32 pound mostly (equjivalent diameter to 6-10 pound mono) with my bass lures and no more cut offs. It is discreet ... MoreI fish in waters that have Northern pike. Stainless steel so it will not rust. Cables kink and do not straighten well, this kinks but straightens. Kinked cable sometimes effects lure action where this can be straightened and eliminate that issue. Best luck with haywire knots and I often connect this directly to the lures with no snap. Just make a loop in the other end and use a snap to hold it. Use a little care with it as it is very sharp and will puncture skin easily.
Very disappointed in this item. I was looking to purchase the #2 fishing leader line...they sent #10. No where on the description did it say it was anything different than what was pictured. NOT WHAT I ORDERED Called the company, they said they will refund monies for this item. We shall see
Haven't fished with it yet, but have made a ton of leaders with it. Pretty easy to work with, snaps off well when done with your barrel rolls. Almost invisible in diameter.
Bends to easily and was not able to stand up to a few small pike. Started fraying on first fish and then broke on about the 5th fish.
Wire is small diameter but stiff enough to hold its shape.
