I've been fighting GERD aka heartburn for a few years. I was concerned about the possible side effects from long term use of PPI inhibitors and H2 blocker meds. So, after I had my gastroenterologist found an ulcer in my esophagus, I decided to study the problem and figure out what was going on with my digestion that would cause the reflux. My conclusion was that for some reason that my endocrine system wasn't producing sufficient digestive enzymes to digest my food, which stimulated excess acid production, since the food was staying in my stomach too long. So, I started taking these enzymes after meal to see if they would help. And they have helped tremendously. So, I'm off the PPI inhibitors and H2 blockers for good. These papaya enzymes are fantastic. Top quality ingredients and the added enzymes to aid in digestion help to make this one of the best papaya enzyme products around. The chewable tablets are medium sized and have a good taste. The one drawback is that this particular brand/product has been hard to get recently.
Excellent plant enzymes to improve the digestion of protein foods. I bought it for myself and my 6 year old daughter. I took 2 tablets 3 times a day after meals. I gave my daughter one at a time. Taste slightly sweet. With a refreshing mint aftertaste. There was no heaviness after eating, which may indicate that this supplement worked well. The tablets are convenient to take with you when traveling, pouring the required amount into a fat sachet
