Amul Pure Ghee Tin, 1L

(1,283 reviews)

Indian ghee made from pure butter cream. Ghee, the most common cooking medium in India, is the nation's version of clarified butter. Unsalted butter is diligently simmered to eliminate moisture, a process that lightly browns the fat, giving it a nutlike flavor. Ghee is ideal for sautéing, braising, pan-frying and deep-frying. Once you taste ghee's buttery taste, you will know the difference. It is packed with flavor, and often 1 tablespoon of ghee will work just as well as four tablespoons of any other cooking oil. It is the healthy, all-natural, salt-free, lactose-free alternative to hydrogenated oils that clog arteries. Also, ghee does not need to be refridgerated. It will stay fresh for 4-5 weeks at room temperature, and six months if refridgerated. The ghee will stay fresh for a longer period if you use clean, dry spoons whenever touching the ghee. Pure Indian ghee made in India.

Amul cooperative is one of the best in India and best in Thier business. Quality is top notch. I have no doubt about this. I did buy Swasti Ghee which was good too. But Amul is trusted brand in India for quite long time now.

This tin of clarified butter I.e. ghee is been used in India for decades now. And Amul has never failed to deliver pure and authentic taste just like homemade ones. It's not expensive the price point is perfect according to quality and quantity provided. I would highly Highly recommend every product from Amul. You will never be disappointed because everything is purely made in milk.

I love Ghee. We met some owners of a gas station who are Indian and they are absolutely wonderful. They let my boyfriend and I try some of their Indian food and they said they used Ghee. We weren't sure what it was so we asked. Basically it's used in place of oil or traditional butter. It really does make food taste better. I bought some and now I use it like crazy. Especially to saute my veggies. I'm so glad I met them otherwise we'd be missing out.

Can't do without this product in my kitchen. This clarified butter or ghee as we the natives of India call it, is a perfect blend of tradition, nutrition and taste. Amul is a familiar name and am so happy to have found this at a No frills store in here. I add it to my rice based recipes and also carrot dessert called Gajar ka Halwa. You can even have it just like that as it has a lot of health benefits.
