The Anker Portable Power Station does most of what is expected pretty well. It has a great screen that gives vital info about the charge, and has enough ports for most of what you would need on a temporary basis. However, I would check how well it runs with the gear you have before going off on a trip. The battery worked well with charging smaller electronics such as phones, laptops, and tablets. I've seen reviews that it also works with smaller appliances so I was hoping it would work with my portable mini fridge/ice box for when you would go on short camping or fishing trips. First off, a CPAP uses a lot less than 200 watts. My Resmed Airsense 10 pulls under 20 watts, although that's with the humidifier off. I've never measured it with the humidifier on.And this powers my CPAP beautifully overnight! It takes about 30% of it's capacity each night for 8 hours of sleep. So I assume I can get 3 nights of CPAP use from the unit, though I haven't tried yet since I just recharge it the next day.Really happy with the construction, it feels great, and the display is beautiful. This item is made of good material and the size and look are great. The light is also nice, and the unit is generally quiet except when cooling down it produces a relatively acceptable noise.Why 4 not 5 stars? It is supposed this unit can be re-charged in 3 ways, 1: power adaptor OR 2: car plug, AND 3: USB-C. The USB-C can be combined with the power adaptor or the car plug at the same time for faster re-charge. The power adaptor and the car plug share the same plug so one can be used at a time. The problem is trying to recharge with the USB-C. The unit I received starts re-charging on USB-C then stops. If you have low power consumption items plugged in then better turn the ECO switch off as the unit will go on standby if you don't and stops supplying power. A while back I borrowed my friend’s Jackery which ended up being dead weight in my pack because it doesn’t have a USB-C. I didn’t bring any adapter as I expected the power station to have a C port for charging laptops and drones. So I paid special attention before placing the order. This Anker station has the USB-C built-in, also 2 AC ports to support both my camping light and one other device at the same time - another plus over my friend’s Jackery.One thing to note is the build quality on this thing. I had set up camp in a nook by some ledges beside a cliff and had put the Anker 521 on a boulder. I camp with my dog, who is a complete spaz, and he was sprinting around and knocked which caused it to slide off and fall maybe 3-4 feet onto solid rock. After inspection there wasn’t any visible damage and it still worked completely fine.In sum, the Anker 521 is excellent if you need a power station that is:LightweightHas USB-CCan charge multiple devices at onceSuper durableSleek design. This is a modern wonder of comfort and technology, and I am so glad there is a market for it.Now on to the design of this wonder. A cheap 80mm computer fan would run off the native voltage and do a better job at cooling and being functionally silent, since you could easily tune it out.Love the standard socket for 10 amps of 12v and the USB-C for 12 amps of 5v. Paired with the AC, this thing can be used with adapters galore to power practically ... Its a niche barrel adapter at best, and it's hard to find specific adapters that convert to it. The included socket to 7909 adapter means you can jury rig some charger out of the panel you have, but a banana plug, standard 5mm barrel, or even an SAE adapter would be so much more compatible with adapters and panels already on the market, especially at the simple 65w charging speed this model is limited to.Other than those 2 design gripes, the rest is very easy to love. The thing looks amazing and sleek. It's got well more than enough power to do practically anything you like for a night or 2 of light glamping, or for a night of watching movies in a power outage. It's light enough to put in a backpack and not overall bulky for its power density. You could probably do a solid week of work on a modern laptop before needing to recharge this thing.

I then saw it was cheaper on Amazon and could get to me the same day so I ordered it through Amazon.I tried to email Anker on their site to cancel the one i ordered through them but had to wait until they saw the email. So rather than wait 24 hrs for them to respond I called Anker. Only for them to say you can only cancel orders by email.The order ships, keep in mind i asked for it to be cancelled before it shipped. Email support then gets to my email and says it shipped but i could return it to them out of my own pocket or refuse the package when it gets delivered.I don鈥檛 know if they鈥檝e ever seen FedEx deliver a package but they drop it off and keep going if no signature is needed (which this one ... Anker refused to do this and just referred me to the tracking.Anker makes good products but their customer service is awful.-You should be able to cancel an order over the phone not email only- you can cancel within your account - but within the first hour of purchase-No way to return it back to them without catching the delivery driver. But who has time to be at their front door all day.- Or you could return the package to Fedex/UPS/USPS after they deliver and pay to ship it back.While i technically bought two batteries one from Amazon and one from Anker directly. I had to review this product here and give it 3 stars not because of the product but the customer support is awful.On top of it all Anker conveniently has no way to actually review the battery on their actual website but makes sure you see that it has 5 stars there. Not allowing people to review on your actual site and I鈥檝e looked around for it is shady.I also hate when companies expect you to pay to ship an item back to them. One you tried to cancel the order on before it even shipped.Nickel and dime鈥檌ng people for $$ to ship products back to you when you as a company sell power stations that cost $9,000 USD is insane. But I guess a $20 shipping label and good customer service is too much to ask for.I had to give this battery 3 stars because of thisawful experience. They also don鈥檛 have a way to easily tap on reviews for the battery like Amazon does. On their site it just says 238 reviews at 5 stars (just trust us its 5 -Anker)Edit: After speaking with Anker they gave me a label to return the package. They initially gave a USPS label. I went there and they could not take it because USPS won鈥檛 take packages with labels on the box stating that a lithium device is inside. So I did waste time/gas doing this run. I then asked Anker for a Fedex/UPS label which I did get later.We used the battery over a 4 day camping trip to try to power a 12v refrigerator. Its not that much bigger than a average large cooler. Leaving the device on at night the battery would go from 100% to 33-34% in the morning this was in high 50 degree weather at night. While it took 2.5 hrs to recharge it from 33% in our car. The device can鈥檛 really last you more than a day if you plan to use it for a mini fridge but can be recharged to give you more time. Decent battery just not a good customer service team.I even purchased a case on their site for this battery and had to do the same shipping label run around with them at first refusing to give me one. Then saying they don鈥檛 give labels for products that don鈥檛 have a defect (keep in mind this battery didn鈥檛 have a defect and they gave a label). Once you get around all these hoops and hurdles to return it鈥檚 fine.But what I said about the customer service still stands. People should just be able to make simple returns.

I charged it up fully with the wall plug to 100% like it said to do. (likely to calibrate the battery management system so the battery % is accurate and the actual capacity is maximized) I powered a bunch of LED AC lights while charging my laptop, phone, a smaller anker powerbank, and some other devices plugged into the car power hole and it lasted for several hours. I feel like it actually lasted longer than I expected for not being a huge device. It will power LED lights for many hours. I bought some Ultra efficient 4 Watt Philips LED bulbs and it says it will power two lamps with those bulbs for over ... I saw another review that stated it draws power even when nothing is plugged in and after testing it I've found that isn't the case unless you have the AC outlet button turned on when you aren't using the AC outlets so it's a none issue. In case you are curious it said it was drawing 5W when there was nothing plugged in and the AC outlets were turned on but then when I plugged in two 4 Watt LED lamps it said it was putting out 10 Watts so it seems it's more efficient with a load but again you can use the other ports without having the AC outlets turned on and there's no extra draw. This is a none issue. It seems to charge up in the timeframe advertised with the wall plug charger but I haven't tried the dual plugs using that in combination with the USB-C plug on the front. If that doesn't work as advertised I'll update my review. I like the light on the front and handle on top but I do wish there was a carry case available for it. Maybe there is but it wasn't listed with it on the anker website so I'm assuming there isn't. The light on it is nice and the SOS feature is setup in a great way, I like that you just do a quick press to turn on and off the light and to activate the SOS mode you have to hold the button for 2 seconds so you don't have to cycle through either of those modes to get to the other. I would recommend this, it seems like it's pretty fool-proof and seems like it'll automatically shutoff if you try to charge it in damaging temperatures so it's pretty worry free as long as you don't store it with a low state of charge for long periods which can damage all Lithium based batteries.

In essence, I can get out of the vehicle and the 521 can run connected items without interrupting the power delivery. (Stopping and restarting a refrigerator hastily will kill the compressor.) If I'm away several hours on a hot day, I will want quicker recovery of the battery charge as I'm driving to the next location.Beyond that unusual use case, this Anker power station works very well, and has an ideal package size for its rated power.
No video reviewers so far (Sept 2023) mention that the item cannot accommodate two AC plugs that each have a grounding terminal. Each of the two AC outlets have an accommodation for a three-prong plug, but not two three-prong plugs at the same time. Other units do not suffer from this limitation.Also, there is no power switch to let you know the unit is on or off. There is a switch to turn on and off the display, however it's not always functional, as i far as i can tell, once the unit has been sitting inert for a while. Each of the two AC outlets have an accommodation for a three-prong plug, but not two three-prong plugs at the same time. Other units do not suffer from this limitation.Also, there is no power switch to let you know the unit is on or off. There is a switch to turn on and off the display, however it's not always functional, as i far as i can tell, once the unit has been sitting inert for a while. The instructions do not mention an on and off switch.Keep in mind the corresponding carrying bag, a bit pricey for it's size, does not have room to accommodate the AC power adapter for charging the unit, and from pictures, it seems to have barely enough room to store the cables, much less any AC pigtails or AC adapters or 12V DC extension cables. I used a Canon DG200 gadget bag for cartage and storage. Works fine. Many are available as used on eBay as i write this review for less cost than the Anker bag.Overall, i think it's a good unit, so i'm keeping it.
