While on a motorbike tour I have been using this to transfer files from microSD and SD cards to a 2TB Toshiba storage drive via my iPad. Very pleased with it and would commend to others with similar needs.

While on a motorbike tour I have been using this to transfer files from microSD and SD cards to a 2TB Toshiba storage drive via my iPad. Very pleased with it and would commend to others with similar needs.
First unit from Amazon flashed a black screen on a connected external monitor. Talked with Anker, they said a firmware update would fix it, but it required a Windows computer to install. I ended up returning the unit to Amazon. Anger support told me one purchased from them would have the new firmware. Ordered one directly from Anker, have the same problem.
Has everything you need to make a fully functioning dock. My whole family can easily dock to this hub and have full control over the Ultrawide monitor, M/K, external hard drive, and power. Just make sure you have a media capable usb-c port. plain data only 5gbs ports will not work with dual monitors.
Have always loved and trusted Anker products over the years, but this one is trying my patience. Got my first such hub last Fall, and it failed to reliably connect with External Monitor. So, return in January, got a new one...all seemed to work ok, UNTIL...power pass thru failed to work (after troubleshooting, proved it was the Anker Hub). After a bit of back and forth, got a new one...but only after they received e-proof I had returned the old one...again, things seemed to work out until 1.5 months later, BOOM...support for external audio stopped working (3.5mm) ...I proved in general the rest of my hook-up worked...from speakers, to using direct connection for MacBook Air)...also, put back in an ANCIENT (3 year old) cheap "knock off" hub from China...literally ... MoreHave always loved and trusted Anker products over the years, but this one is trying my patience. I bought this item from Amazon and it worked perfectly but then after 1 month of use, the HDMI port has started flickering the monitor and loses connection. I use a MacBook Pro
I was expecting something bigger but I am a minimalist so I am not complaining. I stick with Anker every time for tech 3 rd party items.
Upgraded from the old one due to improvedf USB ports, but the HDMI and Displayports now drop the video, so the laptop loses the display, the screen flashes, and windows are re-arranged. Stick with the old one!
Works well. Compact. Good port selections.
