This battery pack is incredible. I carry it everywhere I go and I most of the time forget I even have it with me. It’s so compact and has such a well thought out design. I love the kickstand and the fact that I can long press the power button to just use it as a stand when I don’t need to charge my phone. The only thing I can knock it for is how hot it gets when I’m charging my phone. But that’s just how the physics of wireless charging and battery’s are. One improvement that isn’t needed but would be nice is making the product designed for MagSafe and not just compatible with MagSafe. So we have access to the 15W of power instead of the 7.5 we have now. I would say that across your entire lineup of MagSafe chargers. But other than that. I have the iPhone 13 pro, and it fits perfectly with a case on however if you don’t have a case on you notice a bit of overhang. This charger can get my phone from 17% to ~95% but it wont charge as fast if you power demanding apps. I also did notice it gets warm but not so much to where it’s a concern of a fire or burning, almost having one of those hand warms you might see during the winter.Overall I have really enjoyed this product as it can help me get through a day with out having to be tied to a wall. I definitely recommend it and could even see myself getting a second one for traveling where outlets aren’t always available. Not to mention being able to charge other devices such as my AirPods from the usb c port at the bottom.

It seems like there is firmware or sensors embedded inside that allows it to realize I may refrigerate my hand and then it’ll start back charging. To conclude, long in-hand usage hurts hand due to the sharply designed edges. Just an all around bad design and it was clearly rushed to market. I keep it because I paid for it and it still charges. But I won't be quick to buy new uncharted product categories from Anker in the future.

It overheats
1 March 2023

The Anker MagSafe battery pack is convenient to have and simple to ise however its major issue is that it overheats and thus the charging process stops on the iPhone. I often had to switch off the magsafe discharge on the battery while it’s attached to the phone then plug in a charging cable. That’s how I prevent overheating and it’s also quicker to charge this way (using cable). It takes about 3 hours to charge the iPhone 14 Pro Max via MagSafe option but it never let it complete due to overheating. The product is not optimised for Apple devices. I like the fact that the stand is stable for both portrait and landscape modes. Overall it’s a cool and convenient product despite the overheating.

Highly recommendable.

This is the perfect iPhone 12 Pro companion (other iPhone's are available). The combination of pocket power and built in stand is really useful. Long train journeys... no problem. and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The Anker Magsafe portable is on the Joe Biden level of corruption. Absolutely powerful. Okay I know it only charges wirelessly at 7.5w but the overall quality of this product is A1. Fashionable, magsafe wireless charging, has a tablet style kickstand built in, 5000 mAh battery. I use it with my Galaxy S22 plus w/the Morphie magsafe ring (best one by far) and it works like a charm. Magnet is strong it's not falling off. Snap on snap off it's that easy. I think this is a great product. I wouldn't want any other portable charger. You can Also charge your phone wired as well. 5 stars across the board.

Useful travel charging system and battery pack.
23 September 2022

I bought the 622 so that I could charge my iPhone and Apple Watch without taking a nest of leads when I travel. This fits the bill as it can be charged using my iPad usb-c lead. I can charge the iPhone and my AirPods magnetically, use the battery when out and about, and using the Satechi USB-C Apple Watch magnetic charging dock in the USB-C port can charge my watch as well. iPad (directly on the USB-C), iPhone, Airpods and Apple Watch all charge using the one system! Only downside is that each device must be charged separately as the phone won't charge magnetically at the same time as the watch dock is connected to the USC port (at least I can't make it do it). however, it wasn't advertised to do that, and it's an inconvenience more than anything.Sorely tempted to ... MoreI bought the 622 so that I could charge my iPhone and Apple Watch without taking a nest of leads when I travel. I’ll just preface this by saying I’m a big Anker fan. I have many of their cables and AC adapter chargers around the house. Though, that’s understandable, as it’s not really designed for this. This hasn’t stopped me from using the charger often though, as this product is geared more towards charging on the go, and it’s served me very well when I’ve needed some extra charge when out or at work.Would definitely recommend this charger for anyone with a MagSafe iPhone!
