I've used Ankers for years and they have never slipped from absolute #1 for all my Power Bank, Charger, Cord, Webcam, Speakerphone and USB C Hub needs.This last purchase though was a nice surprise. I have had several Anker products, and this one is just another reason I love this manufacturer. First of all, their battery life is top-notch. They deliver on promises. I have had several Anker chargers and headsets, and they HOLD the charge. What I am loving about this charger is the lack of cord. This easily slips into a pocket, purse, or backpack and it attaches directly to the device. No cords needed. Brilliant. Makes a great stocking stuffer!! Love these

The company issued phone I use has a terrible battery life for the applications I’m asked to use. Some days my work is so intensive that I can’t even make it to my lunch break before I need to charge my phone. But my job also requires a lot of use of the camera function. I’ve used other battery packs but most of them are the size of the phone or they just shaped clunky. So with the other packs I’ve always ended up holding them together awkwardly or unplugging and plugging back in when I needed to do the thing. With this battery pack I am in love! I had a small crossbody bag and was able to easily fit this charger, which I love because a lot of portable chargers are so big and clunky. The other reason I got this charger is because of the built-in charger so that I don’t have to worry about bringing a charging cord too. The charger itself charges quickly but if you’re using your phone while the charger is plugged in then it can kind of drain it. Usually I put my phone on airplane mode and plug the charger in and it uses about half of its power to fully charge my phone, but I was also using the phone and taking pics during that time. I just used it for the first time today. I travel A-LOT for work. It’s compact and small making it very easy for travel, and I keep it in my pack where it’s readily accessible. I have a larger power bank from Anker that’s stored and a little less convenient to get to. This provided a fast charge. And was able to fully charge my iPhone 14 pro max. I also have a case around my phone. The charging port is narrow and extends well. Making it easy to charge with the case still on.

It arrived and it was neatly packed as all Anker items are. I charged it out of the box and then started to put it to the test. I have an OtterBox case and sometimes chargers don't always fit....this one did, no problems.I don't know if I'd walk around using the phone while it's charging for fear of it popping out and maybe damaging something. It charged my 14 Pro Max from 25% to 100% in almost no time at all. I also like the fact that you can use it as a charger for other items. Because the power input is USB-C, It should work with USB-C chargers. It does not. You must use the included USB-A to USB-C cable to charge it. If you have a lot of chargers and cables, finding this non-standard USB-A to USB-C cable complicates things.UPDATE: This may not be a fault of charger, but rather the way it protects itself against hight power sources that could damage it. I have noticed that other devices that have USB-C charging inputs also fail to charge using USB-C outputs from higher power chargers. 20 watts appears to be the limit from my small sample. This may not be the case for newer devices which might have built in protections.

But when I used it the first time, I found the plug, which folds up to plug into the phone charging port flimsy and felt it should be stiffer as it was wanting to fold back once it was attached to the phone. That was a smaller issue compared to how quickly the battery drained when NOT in use. I keep it in my purse as back up and I do use it ever 1-2 weeks but found the battery would be almost dead each time even though it was fully charged after each use. So it is useless as a a back up since it’s almost dead each time I need to use it. I am quite happy with this Anker portable charger for my iPhone. As you can see from the photos, the lightening charger folds down into the small indentation on the unit. That makes it very nice for storing it and there is no need for a cap that could get lost. The charger is lightweight. I had previously purchased a set of two chargers that were not Anker products. They did not work well right from the get go! I should have known that they wouldn’t work to my expectations as they weren’t Anker chargers. In my opinion, Anker products are the best. I have never had any issues with Anker products and I have always been very pleased with the quality of their products. Lesson learned, do not veré from the brand that you love!
