Originally purchased this cable in 2017 to have something long enough to run from wall to my couch and still use my devices while they charge. I had issues with other cables that would fray and or break over time.This cable is very sturdy and has no issues with the connector failing. Unfortunately now in 2020, the gold pins on the lightning connector began to fatigue and look burnt. Arrived with my groceries non damaged. Plugged it in and and it charges my devices. Seems to be a hard to find cord. I am not a tech person. No where on it did I find usb type. It fit into my multi usb charger from somewhere. It has the port of the 1st usb port made. I believe this is called USB A to lightning cable. I hear Anker is one of the best. Looking forward to it lasting. I like working with Walmart for the customer service unavailable on that online huge store on earth. Walmart plus has great customer service especially if one speaks a 2nd language other than English. I don’t use customer service lines in English anywhere with any store. Gracias

I purchased the 10' version out of necessity. The cable and ends seem heavy duty. The cable is a bit stiff but I think it is due to the insulation used to coat the wire. How long it will last is anyone's guess. It is always the wire at the ends that frays first. Hope it lasts longer than the Apple-branded cables.

I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews but I have always had positive experiences with Anker. These are the only charging cords that I buy, specifically for the lifetime warranty. I have purchased at least 6 of them. They seem to be great quality. My whole family loves the extra long ones. I feel like the longer the cord, the shorter the life, and that applies to any cord of any brand. I don’t know why. I have had one for probably 6 years and still have no problems with it. Coincidentally, it’s next to my bed so my kids never use it... The shortest I’ve had one before it wouldn’t work was was about 12 months and it was used almost constantly, 24/7. I bought 2 of these cables at the end of July. Received them early August. Used them both regularly for about 3 ½ months, when one just stopped working. The other kept working for another few weeks but finally kicked the bucket today. Unless you want to keep buying these every couple months, don’t waste your time or money
There have been just too many times where my phone is charging and the wire is too short to reach from the outlet to the kitchen bar. I was so tired of buying lightning wires that were long enough but they would bend at the charger and stop working. Well! Anker PowerLine II is nothing like the rest it is AMAZING!It’s super long so it reaches anywhere and it’s made much much stronger than ordinary charging wires that bend and break.
