Been working great (got in the habit of manually pressing the external battery button to power it down/back on every morning - so it would charge at 9am - looks like I don't have to do any anymore). :DVery happy with these batteries! Got my power setup for years to come.3/10: Latest UpdateExternal battery still needs me to press the main button on/off for charging to happen almost every day (running on batteries all night, then smart switch turns power back on, the unit won't charge till I turn on/off the expansion battery via front button), which is a little frustrating but not a deal breaker since it's right next to me. I bought a set of 120mm silent fans to cool both units, they seem to keep the fans off for the most part while running on battery or UPS pass through power (internal fans always run when charging - but very low). Most of my usage is around 200w even during gaming nights. Every few days it'll get in a weird super slow charging mode where it says remaining charge 4 days and never enter UPS mode (I use this as an UPS).Usually restarting the expansion battery works for it to "reset" and charge then enter UPS mode. Only a small inconvenience with the Expansion Battery (using it as an UPS).App is amazing. Batteries are amazing. Device works perfectly as a home office backup system. I plan on using this setup for a long time until a new battery technology comes out. If I plug the C1000 and the expansion battery into an outlet that fails to provide the power that the Anker C1000 is asking for, the entire thing goes into a weird passthrough mode and will refuse to charge (no matter how many times I plug/unplug from power) -- until I turn off the expansion battery and then turn it back on (lucky to figure this out). Initially I thought I broke it, but just turning off expansion battery (press holding expansion battery power button for a few seconds) and then back on returned charging to normal. Was very happy with the Anker Solix C1000 I bought directly through Anker. Went on a Father/Son campout last weekend and it worked exactly as it was designed, and exactly how I had hoped. I bought it specifically to run my CPAP in my tent, which it did flawlessly, despite cold temperatures over the three nights.The only disappointment was when the shadows of any branches were over the 200W solar panel, or when it was getting 100% full sun and I would shade one of the four panels with my body to test it, it would drop down from 177 watts to only 32 watts. And that was with three panels in full sun! What the heck??? I was looking to add another 400 watts of Anker solar panels to this one (to get the maximum 600 watts of solar input), but with Anker's solar panels having this big of a drop in wattage input, I'll be looking for other options from other companies that don't do this.Other thoughts about the Anker 200 Watt Solar Panels I have here: I also wish the bottom of the folded solar panels had some way to attach the two folded halves together when you're carrying it, as they just kinda flop against each other, making noise, when you're walking with them, while holding the two blue carry handles together. If I keep these (which would only be because I got them on sale, though I'm still not sure what I'll do), I'll probably add a bungee cord around them to hold them together, or try to find a bag to hold them together. Since the legs have magnets to hold the legs in the closed position, I thought it would have been so easy for Anker to have strong magnets hold the folded solar panels together so they don't flop apart and slap against each other while you're walking with them. Also, since there's four panels, I was a bit disappointed that there were only 3 adjustable legs on the back of the solar panels. It should have had four legs to hold the opened array of solar panels up more sturdily. I'm considering sending the solar panel back to Anker, and getting a different brand of solar panel that doesn't have the above issues. With just a bit more forethought in the design process, and making these solar panels at the quality, and quantity of shaded wattage output, compared to some of their competitor's out there, these Anker 200W Solar Panels could have been so great, and I would have had no complaints about them, like I feel so positively about the Solix C1000!In conclusion: I loved everything about the Anker Solix C1000 Solar Generator, and was not happy with the Anker 200W Solar Panel at all.

If I keep these (which would only be because I got them on sale, though I'm still not sure what I'll do), I'll probably add a bungee cord around them to hold them together, or try to find a bag to hold them together. Since the legs have magnets to hold the legs in the closed position, I thought it would have been so easy for Anker to have strong magnets hold the folded solar panels together so they don't flop apart and slap against each other while you're walking with them. Also, since there's four panels, I was a bit disappointed that there were only 3 adjustable legs on the back of the solar panels. It should have had four legs to hold the opened array of solar panels up more sturdily. I'm considering sending the solar panel back to Anker, and getting a different brand of solar panel that doesn't have the above issues. With just a bit more forethought in the design process, and making these solar panels at the quality, and quantity of shaded wattage output, compared to some of their competitor's out there, these Anker 200W Solar Panels could have been so great, and I would have had no complaints about them, like I feel so positively about the Solix C1000!In conclusion: I loved everything about the Anker Solix C1000 Solar Generator, and was not happy with the Anker 200W Solar Panel at all.
Update:Returned home after a 30 day trip back in May 2024, traveling from NC to upstate NY in our northstar SC 650,. We used this the Solix C1000 with the expansion battery everyday. Although It won't power our rooftop AC, it powered everything else. Came in super handy during quiet hours when we wanted to use our microwave, or keurig coffee maker and so on. We do carry a generator on board so at the end of everyday around 4-6 pm, we would start our generator and backcharge our entire system. Our onboard solar system would charge our "house battery" but the generator would top off the anker system in about 1-1.5 hours depending on how much power was drawn off the system. We keep the system in our camper and backpower through the shore power hookup. It's pretty handy given the weight, I put the main system where we want it and then stack the auxiliary battery and hook them together with the provided cord.No regrets on this purchase to date.The C1000 and BP 1000 work well for our specific needs and physically handling the system wrt weight is just right!Hope this update helps someone out who is looking for a similar system for a similar application.After purchasing the solix C1000 and then partnering it with the BP1000, I have doubled the output watts I desire to power my northstar sc650 truck camper over a longer offgrid experience.Although I've not tested it on a multi day trip yet, but testing over several hours and running the things I normally would on shore power, I am extremely happy with what it can now power over extended periods of time.Literally running multiple items from our microwave, furnace, hot water heater, and more, when plugged into the surge pad socket with a 15 amp cord I am essentially runningeverything I need when I need it.The BP1000 discharges first and then will consume power from the C1000 and Vice-versa when charging the system back up.I believe that the system is setup this way so that the user will always have control over power charging and dischargingThe system does not have a pass through charge function but rather works like a UPS system in the sense that when plugged into shore power and backcharging, if power is needed to run something, the system will stop charging and immediately switch into ups mode and power what you need in the moment.Our plan is to use this system in campgrounds during quiet hours when gas generators cannot be used.Based on our particular wants & needs, I Would highly recommend.I wanted something small but that packed a high watt output when I need it.So far, so good. Boondocking in my northstar truck camper I am able to backpower the entire camper with the Solix C1000 for about a 24 hour period.This depends of course on what I am running. Occasional microwave oven use, my fridge on propane setting, lights, water pump, even the hot water heater and hot air furnace, again, limited high use items.Only used so far on 2 overnight trips.Next morning I use an 1800-2200 watt generator to power the anker back to full from about 15% only drawing a set watt charge of about 750. The generators rpm only increase a little bit and the anker is charged in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.I could increase my charge watts to 1000 and be done inside of 50 minutes or less but I want to break the unit in several charge cycles first and I like running my generator on eco mode.The anker is not heavy at only 28 lbs and I can set it up on my campers kitchen counter or just about anyplace else inside my rig.I bought it for $650 from amazon, anker Direct, and it shipped to my house in under 5 days and came in just under $700 total, a great buy in my opinion.I am looking to eventually buy the expansion battery to give more power in depth but am in no rush at this point.I am 100% satisfied with this small yet powerful unit. It has been sitting unused for almost two weeks now, with no power loss at all.I have my units set to the lowest charging power (200W), especially when using as an always-plugged-in UPS since I don't need the unit to ultra-fast charge up again. No need to stress the batteries to charge quickly. Also, after some research, always being plugged in and charged to 100% doesn't seem to be as big an issue with LiFePo4 batteries as it is with typical Li-Ion. What I myself will be doing though is, a slow drain every so often, and let it run down to 60% or so. Then plug it back in to recharge with the slowest charging rate. I feel that this should keep the batteries healthy. But take that for what it's worth, and do your own research.. I definitely recommend Anker Solix.

We bought a campervan and can 'Top up' at the Anker C1000 at home or in sunlight via solar or an amenable inn power socket with their permission!We will use it to act as an Outside Own 'Hook up' if necessary to run a fridge or run appliances from the Anker C 1000 sockets to use e.g. air fryer and microwave 800/ 900w and a 600w Travel type kettle with ease. These lower-wattage units negate excessive fan noise. There is a software update already in place to mitigate this. Lower wattage appliances will be better for the power bank, however, the Powersurge can take up to 1800w. that may rule out use via a UK kettle.There is a long lead for DC charging and modern XT 60 connectors for adding solar panel(s) up to 600w. The kettle-type charging cable rather than a Power brick is also a good feature and you soon will be able to double the capacity with an additional battery. This Anker C1000 is also much smaller in dimensions and weight and can be an important consideration for us in purchase over other older, much heavier competitors - In our opinion this Anker C1000 power bank is now the 'Leader of this particular Pack' and deserves to do exceedingly well.

I fumbled around the App Store and found the Anker app. The Bluetooth app did connect without issue. You must enable WiFi if you wish to perform the firm ware updates. Important information such as input and output are too small to read unless you are VERY close, and many of the unit's features are only accessible via the app.The solar input cable supplied with the C1000 has only XT 60 connectors for attaching to solar panels. No MC4 connectors are provider like most other Power Stations. I have nine solar panels from four different companies and they all are connected via MC4’s. This required me to purchase an MC4 to XT 60 addaptor before I could solar charge the unit. In addition, unlike most companies, Anker does not provide a pouch or other means to store the various cables.Well, regardless of my minor complaints, it performs well and seems like a very solid power station.

I reset the display screen on the Solix to be on for 1 minute rather than 30 secs so I can watch how the power usage changes as I power on and off the different items. Unsurprisingly, the monitor is the biggest drain on the battery. I haven't exceeded 54 watts at any given time since this experiment started. I probably could plug additional items into the battery unit and will probably do so looking for the maximum benefit. In summary, I've taken 8 items/appliances off the electric grid. The Solix is powered on the grid for only 1.5 hours out of 24 hours. I haven't received an electric bill yet so it will be interesting to see if I realize any net savings on my power bill. An unintended consequence of this experiment has been that I'm much more conscious of the power I use and I tend to tur off things that I would previously just let go to sleep and use a smaller amount of power.

In my test connect it to a 1.5kw space heater, and the noise level is very acceptable.I also wished the app can allow me to set a SoC limit. Even LFP batteries can take full charge, it still prefers 50% SoC for maximum battery life. Hope Anker can hear my voice and add that feature in the future.The bad:Really there is none.The interesting:Solar charging. I have tiny 18V/20w diy solar panel so I tried to trickle charge it since by Anker specs it should work. After connecting it via the supplied cable -- bingo! after a couple of clicks, it started reporting an 11w input power, and the input voltage dropped from 20V (voltage when open) to 15-16v ---- Great! that means it does have an built-in MPPT (max. power point tracking) controller! Good job Anker!But the problem is after a whole day, the SoC didn't change at all. I reached to Anker support, and not surprisingly they gave me the standard answer "oh you need a more powerful panel" So I decided to do my own investigation. By using a DC power supply, and emulated different voltage & amp configuration and found it seems the threshold is at about 13W --- under which it will simply not charge at all, but it is able to take the full charge power beyond. Indeed interesting.Conclusion:Why I give it 4 stars? I've only had the unit for 1 week, and will come back with an update after subjecting it to some real camping/picnic challenges. Hopefully, then I will update it to a 5.
I ordered three of these with 200w solar panels and extra batteries. I wanted these for a few reasons. If there is a long-term power outage, I can keep my generators going for quite awhile, and fuel might be hard to come by during a long-term outage. These devices are quiet. I can run them in my house. I just wanted solar generators to power my boiler and my fridge. I estimate I can run my fridge for about 14 to 16 hours with one of these based on a 4 hour test, and that was without the expansion battery. I am not positive on the wattage my boiler uses, but I am sure my set-up would be able to run it for a long time as most boilers are a fairly low power draw..I kind of agree with a previous reviewer. I know the extra units would charge quicker on a standard outlet than charging the extra batteries, and the expansion batteries cannot be charged independently. I like the idea of having multiple units as I get more wattage if necessary to run more devices. I do not want to run my entire house if there is a hack on the power grid. I just want to heat my house if it is cold or run my fridge and some fans in summer. I am going to install transfer switches at my panel to run my boiler and fridge. I also have a 400w Ego Nexus and six 5 AH batteries I can use to charge these generators should the need arise. It is an added benefit that I can take these camping.I bought everything on sale. It was $899 for the C1000 with a 200w solar panel. The extra battery was $550. For the money I spent buying three units, I could have bought an Anker F3800. However, I would still have to buy a lot solar panels to feed that unit which would be a significant additional expense. I also would not want to take an F3800 camping.I wish Anker would put a fan in the extra battery so it could be charged quicker and add a way for it to be charged independently. The battery is close enough to the same price as an extra unit that I am literally not sure if it is better to buy that or an additional unit. I also wish Anker would come up with a compartment like they did for their C800 model. They could even offer the lights to those who wanted them. I just think that would be a great place to store the cable.Edit: I ordered a kit which included the power station and a 200w solar panel. I only received tracking information for the power station. Amazon marked everything as delivered when the power station was delivered. My solar panels showed up about 5 days later. I wish it would have been marked by Anker as separate shipments because one item was delivered by UPS and the other by FedEx.
