I keep this unit at back of counter and move it forward and lock it when I need it. It works well with lower quality steel as well as as better quality knives/scissors. It is great!
It broke after first use. We sharpened seven small serrated knives, turned it off, and we have not been able to turn it on since.Very disappointing.

Because it is small, I can leave it on the counter and sharpen a knife just before use.However, so far it's convenience outweighs its performance: it is not any better than other knife sharpeners.
I bought three different knife sharpeners to compare. This one was the highest rated. I returned it very quickly because it did not sharpen knives with serrated blades. The other two I bought did a much better job.
Does not sharpen serrated knives as your catalog say it does. The enclosed directions with the sharpener indicates NO sharpening of serrated blades. Also, the sharpener does not sharpen CUTCO plain blades that well. Your ad should say that it does not sharpen serrated blades.
It mounts easily on the cabinet counter if the surface is smooth. I had 11 knives sharpened in just a few minutes. I removed the sharpener from my counter and stored in a handy place for the next time.Find this device to be excellent.
I enjoy this knife sharpener, it is heavy enough to sit still, even without the suction cup bottom. More importantly, the sharpener provides a nice sharp edge that last a while on my knives. This was a good purchase for the price.
It did sharpen the knife well and I was easily able to cut thin slices of tomatoes.However, I noticed as others had that there were nicks in the blade. Maybe not the best sharpener for very expensive knives but it served my every day purpose.
You advertised the "Best Knife Sharpener" as working on single edge, double-edge and SERRATED knives. The directions that came with the sharpener said NOT FOR SERRATED knives. Therefore your advertising is NOT true. Please advise.
