Monitor is decent, displays high fps reasonably. The image doesn't go all the way to the border, there's a black section on the sides and top, which is frustrating to see. It says frameless, and it does have a thin frame, but with the image not going all the way to the frame, it may as well just be a thick frame. I don't understand why it's like thatThere is also a brightness flickering issue when freesync is on. So if you're buying, intending to use freesync, don't. They may as well have not included it.Had I known about this, I wouldn't have made the purchase.

For a monitor to be "good", in my eyes, it needs to be fast, bright, vibrant, accurate and ergonomic. The FreeSync ability is also great for games that offer V-Sync, as the FPS will not be limited in any way, shape or form. I've never played on a more smooth and vibrant monitor. For photo editing and video editing, it meets two main criteria for me. The 2560x1440 resolution allows me to see everything I need to in crisp detail, and the screen size of 27 inches is large enough to truly utilize all of Photoshop one a single screen. Any smaller and I would need to minimize certain windows and menus.Beyond that, it comes with 2 extra HDMI cables AS WELL as a DisplayPort cable! Who does that? I've never bought a monitor that comes with more than 1, in fact most have only ever included a DVI.The only reason I would go for another option aside from this one would be if I wanted 4k or above. For me, that's just not important. Being an arms length away from the screen 99% of the time just doesn't warrant the price for me.Since purchasing, I have bought another, smaller monitor to run Twitch chat. It's from a different brand but advertises similar stats (2560x1440 @ 70hz) and It's almost shocking how much less detail and beauty that one has compared to this one. AOC is a great brand and this is a great main monitor.TL;DRThis monitor packs an absolute punch for the price. In my opinion, you simply can't do better. If it's an upgrade from a 1080p 60hz or if you're adding another monitor to your setup, I would only tell you to stop looking and buy this one now. It's truly a work of art.

I would say give this monitor a try, a really good beginner monitor to have at a low price, I may have pulled a few bad ones, it might just be handling when they shipped. Microcenter has been really nice about it and allowed me to exchange multiple times because getting bad monitors is a common occurrence according to them.

Best you can get without paying x 2 the price for 4K
4 August 2021

Display is fantastic. Response time, colours and quality are all outstanding. It has several different modes and customisable settings to play how you want to play. This has to be one of the best monitors you can buy for this price range without doubling the price for a 4K monitor. 1 minor complaint; you cannot adjust the height of the screen on the stand and are left with around 20cm of clearance between the base and bottom of the monitor. To take full advantage of the specs I would also recommend you have the hardware to match. While I wait to get my hands on a PS5 I’m using my PS4. Because this can barely run games at 50fps itself and match the display I’m not utilising the monitors full potential.

Exceptional display and good value
28 February 2022

Replaced an older 22" monitor with this larger 27" display. Great improvement! Much easier on my old eyes. I find the slightly curved screen seems to improve readability of text and in particular clearer CAD drawings. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on game play. But, I find the response in various drawing and drafting programs to be far superior to older flat screen monitors. Superb color and clarity is what I needed and this monitor delivers both. Some reviews mention a smaller viewing angle but I never view the monitor from other than directly in front so that is not an issue. The monitor stand is a bit of a strange strange design.

Fantastic performance and value

When my old 4k 60hz monitor died I figured I'd try out a high refresh rate 1440p and see what the hype was about. I was recommended this monitor by an associate and it's been performing great. Tilt and height adjustment is a huge plus, comes with DP and HDMI cables out of the box which is also a huge plus. Colors look vivid and rich, and I've noticed very little ghosting in the couple weeks that I've had it. G-sync is working well with the games I'm playing, Nvidia control panel even said it's supported which was a nice surprise (using DP cable). The curve took some adjustment and was bothering my eyes the first couple days but now I find it's a plus especially in FPS games as it wraps back towards you and it's easier to see stuff happening at the edges of the ... MoreWhen my old 4k 60hz monitor died I figured I'd try out a high refresh rate 1440p and see what the hype was about. Overall I'm pretty happy with this monitor, the reason it only gets 4/5 stars is that during dark or black environments and transitions there is noticeable white spots all over the monitor. At night time it becomes even more apparent, got the warranty so we'll see if it becomes more of an issue down the road. Despite that issue at this price point you're going to struggle to find a more feature-rich 1440p 144hz monitor that looks and performs as good as this one does.

Gaming Maybe? Code No way.
4 May 2022

Maybe this monitor works "just fine" for gaming, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that I bought 2 of these for Work-From-Home as a programmer.Blurry patches, de-sync areas (where red/green/blue are actually offset) poor brightness and color (I need kinda dim but high contrast) make this a real pile of elecrement for 80 lines of text on a page.Terrible. Returned.I learned my lesson.

I got this monitor on sale for $230, and I think that's about the perfect price for this kind of monitor in this price range: a monitor with few bells and whistles and no strong X-factor, but has everything you want at a low price. Even being a VA panel, the monitor is responsive and has few instances of noticeable ghosting or artifacting at high refresh rates. It is surprisingly color accurate to my untrained eye, not needing any calibration out of the box when set next to my other monitors. The IO is solid, having just what you'd need and some nice-to-haves like an extra HDMI port and headphone jack. The stand is robust, and VESA mounting is easy to install and secure. There is also abundant backlight bleed around the top and bottom of the screen in especially dark scenes. Overall, I believe it's a great monitor if you want a budget-friendly 1440p high refresh rate monitor without tons of extra features. If you want an entry-point into higher resolution and/or high framerate gaming or want a solid secondary monitor that can keep pace with your primary monitor without breaking the bank, then this should be a fairly safe buy, especially if you find it on sale like I did.

Nice curved monitor.
16 June 2022

This is a really nice monitor. No speakers (monitor speakers are not very good anyway). This is for a single screen setup, otherwise I wouldn't want a curved screen. The included stand is actually decent and not super short like soon many others. Comes with both HDMI and display port cables. Has multiple inputs, as such it is possible to pair this with multiple computers and be primary on 1 and a second or 3rd screen on something different. As a person with raspberry pi and jetson Nanos that can be very useful, those normally run headless but there are times to hook them up to a screen.

Very Immersive, Vibrant, and Clear
18 June 2022

The curve to this monitor is subtle, yet very noticeable. It's like a solid blend of a curved screen and a flat screen, and it works with just about any adjustments I make to my viewing angles. The colors are very rich. Watching videos and playing games is a very immersive experience. I really wanted a curved monitor, but I was concerned about some of their ghosting issues. I am happy to say that this monitor does not have any ghosting that is worth mentioning. If it's there, it's subtle enough that I can play my media files in peace. I also love how high/low I can move the stand. I've come to enjoy the lowest position more, but I could stand up and use it if I wanted to...one critique that I will hand out is that HDR should not be mentioned in this model's ... MoreThe curve to this monitor is subtle, yet very noticeable. It doesn't register on a Series X, and it doesn't register on a computer. They have an HDR setting/picture mode, but I don't use it, because the setup on this monitor was nice enough that I only needed to make a few tweaks here and there. This isn't HDR, but it's a very beautiful screen. I'm very happy and very pleased. Also, for anyone who might be curious, an Xbox Series X will allow this monitor to use 1440p 120hz settings.
