bought it 10 years ago, never had any issues. the product is very "Green" it use very little power in standby mode. runs cool. warns battery replacement intelligently.

Brought this to protect my PC, NAS and router / network. Easy to install but remember you only receive 2 cables with the UPS so you need additional cables or adaptors. Downloading and installing PowerChute was a problem the image on the APC website was not comparable with Windows 10 so had to use a copy from an independent site which was easy to install. Once loaded it is easy to use and gives you the state of battery charge, load you are drawing and expected battery run time in the event of a power outage. I would recommend.

Arrived well packed and with only minor signs of wear as a second hand unit. More than powerful enough to power my PC, screens and router during an extended power cut enabling me to save any work on the PC and shut down safely. Also has surge protection for telephone line and network cable as well as surge protection without battery backup for high power items such as laser printers. Excellent solution to unstable power locations when using sensitive electrical equipment.

Great product. Shallow mount. Decent price for what you get.
I bought one of these elsewhere, I believe it was from Jet. The unit has been great for the past 5-6 months with one small flaw. Both PSU's on our Juniper Router were plugged into this; every 3 weeks or so our router would reboot. Considering it takes about 10 minutes for the router to reboot, this was a HUGE issue. This occurred 3-4 times before I finally had an epiphany and thought that maybe the UPS was briefly cutting power to the router, causing it to reboot, so I removed one of the PSU's from the UPS and plugged it into the raw outlet. That was 3 months ago and our router hasn't rebooted since. We also have servers plugged into this that haven't rebooted, my guess is they're less sensitive to brief power disruptions. So beware of very sensitive networking ... MoreI bought one of these elsewhere, I believe it was from Jet. The unit has been great for the past 5-6 months with one small flaw. I have the specific APC ups for about 5 years now. It never let me down throught all those years. Now I have a blinking light which means I have to replace it because the battery is almost dead. I'm gonna have the same one or the 950VA again.
Pros: does what it says on the tin.Cons: too much non recyclable packaging, less polystyrene and plastic needed and more recyclable cardboard.
I am rather surprised at how warm this gets - even when there is no load on it it runs much warmer than the ancient UPS I have. There was no USB lead or monitoring software provided. Fortunately, I had a USB cable from an old printer and once hooked up, Windows, Linux and my NAS all see it and it works fine.
For my home entertainment system I wanted the TV and components to run as long as my network was up. Both are now on multi-battery APC UPS units, for long run time and protection from surges and brown-outs. Hermine caused several power outages of up to 15 minutes at our inland home, and the UPS kept everything running smoothly.
Unraid Plex is running 11x hard drives and P2000 and total use is 161 Watts and gives approx. 25 mins but when using Unraid it can go as low as 63 Watts which doubles the time to nearly an hour. For this use case the USB connection to the Unraid Plex server can be set shutdown at either battery level or time. This does have a standard kettle lead to power this device. The output needs a kettle extension lead (male to female).
