I must admit I was concerned when I read others reviews, however I honestly can’t say the same about my old moggy. I bought him other grain free dry food, but each one of them causes him to have the runs. Not with Applaws dry. And he likes the chicken one. My other cat likes this one as well and I don’t notice any adverse reactions.

My cats were fed on all different foods, James Well Beloved,Iams, science plan, but they always preferred meat & ate tons of Sheba. But when I intoduced the dry Applaws they loved it. as I have multiple cats this one is fantastic for all of them. My male cat has an irritable bowel and this seems to have sorted that out. I am very pleased with this food, and rate it as excellent.

The reason some cats prefer the lesser quality dry foods, made mostly from cereals and vegetable proteins is that they spray the cereal with animal fats to make it appetizing to cats - it's the equivalent of junk food for kids - and kids don't know what's best for them either do they?Also, it's not true that high protein diets are bad for cats kidneys - it's low quality proteins that are bad for cats kidneys. After reading the other reviews, we're now wondering if one of our cats has had an allergic reaction. Sadly, we've just finished giving them the sample bag. She's almost 2 years old and starting scratching and pulling out her fur. She's on her second lot of antibiotics and and had a bald patch on her head and sores on her neck, legs and bottom. The vets ruled out any sort of parasite. I was just about to buy a bigger bag, but won't now, just in case.

I initially purchased a small bag to try it out because one of my cats was diagnosed with cancer, and this is one of the very, very few foods that is high in good quality meat proteins - vital nutrition for cancer patients.Thankfully both my cats adored this food and I am now switching to this. My cats were on Hills Senior Light and James Wellbeloved Senior (mixed together), which they both enjoy, I just need to give my cancer kitty the best nutrition I can find for him...and I think this is it!

I have a bengal and a sphynx, my sphynx has irritable bowel, this food is much better for him because its not full of fillers and cereals which he can't tolerate. He is better with wet food and this is as close as it gets to wet food that I can leave down for them. My bengal wasn't sure at first but they both love it now. It is strong smelling, but I don't mind that as I know its good food for them and with it being 80 percent meat it's bound to smell stronger than other dry food which is full of fillers. Its definately worth it for their health.

My two 1 year old tabbies can’t get enough of Applaws dry food. They started on kitten food and have now transitioned to adult food without any issues. We had to buy high-quality food as they both had sensitive tummies in the early days, they took to Applaws straight away and we haven’t looked back since!They are the healthiest cats I have ever seen with the most incredible silky smooth coats, I think that’s down to the quality of this food.

This excellent quality food seems like a great idea. The cats weren't sure about it but didn't reject it either. The high meat content means it is quite pungent to a human nose compared to other brands - it smelled slightly like vomit or Parmesan, to put it more kindly - but that's a small sacrifice to make.However it made one of my cats put on quite a bit of weight, although he wasn't eating that much of it, and it didn't agree with my other, sensitive stomach kitty. Little does, but I hoped this one might. So a good product, but not for us.

It's different

I used to buy 2kg bags of this food. The biscuits were standard size. I recently bought a 7.5kg bag and it's different. The biscuits are small and flat. The food doesn't smell good. Unfortunately, both my cats refused to eat it. I'm using it to feed strays now.I switched to buying Nature's Variety from Pets at Home. My cats love it. It smells much better than Applaws and the biscuits are normal size.

My cat loves Applaws, and enjoys a mix of wet and dry, adding some dry food into their diet is good for dental health. Cats have to have a high meat diet and this food gives my cat that. The meat quality is fabulous and the content too. This is perfectly balanced to give your cat everything he needs from digestive care to coat and eyes.It's important that when you transition your cat from one food to another that's in done in stages to keep the stomach happy, a quick switch of food with likely disrupt the stomach. If using this food for the first time then slowly mix this food in wth your crafts current food reducing their old food while adding in more of this food.
