The 60-Watt MagSafe Power Adapter features a magnetic DC connector that ensures your power cable will disconnect if it experiences undue strain and helps prevent fraying or weakening of the cables over time. In addition, the magnetic DC helps guide the plug into the system for a quick and secure connection. When the connection is secure, an LED located at the head of the DC connector will light up; an amber light lets you know that your notebook is charging, while a green light tells you that you have a full charge. An AC lead is provided with the adapter for maximum lead length, while the AC wall adapter (also provided) gives users an even easier and more compact way to travel. Designed to be the perfect travelling companion, the adapter has a clever design which allows the DC cable to be wound neatly around itself for easy cable storage. This power adapter recharges the lithium polymer battery while the system is off, on or in sleep mode. It also powers the system if you choose to operate without a battery.

Apple MagSafe Charger Works Great

While in the Stand the magnet on the Apple MagSafe Charger has full contact with the magnetic rings inside the back of the iPhone 12 ensuring a solid safe connection with full charging capabilities. The combination of the Apple MagSafe Charger and the Stouchi MagSafe Charger Stand provides the ideal iPhone 12 charging holder combination.

This replaces my Anker 10W wireless charging pad on my nightstand. I love the fact that I can place my phone in the general area where the charger is and it snaps into place giving perfect "non-contact" placement on the charger, meaning it is always perfectly centered on the charger and I know Im getting the maximum charging rate this wireless pad can deliver. Helpful when Ive already turned the lights off.The general complaint is that this wireless charging pad is not Apple certified and thus doesnt provide the full 15w of charging power. The standard iPhone 12 has only 140mAh more than the 8 Plus did and people werent complaining about 7.5w charging power back then. (Maybe they were but I wasnt listening.)Pros:- 15w charging for non-apple devices- 7.5w charging for Apple (until someone rectifies/hacks this issue)- magnetically "snaps" in place- perfect alignment- small footprint RavPower: 63mm/2.5" dia. They are not strong enough to hold the weight of the phone like some brands. They are just barely strong enough to find the right spot on the phone when i set it down. There are pluses and minuses to this though. On the plus side when you pick your phone back up it is easier to pop off the charger. Huzzah. On the down side sometimes you need to manually position the magnets a bit to get it in the right spot. You also can not hold the charger and phone together, just your hands will wiggle it enough that it comes loose. So dont expect to be able to hole your phone and watch Netflix with this charger on the back.So are the magnets an issue for you? Really depends. If this is only going to sit on your bedside and not be lifted or used when charging you will be fine. If you really want to be able to use the phone while it is charging you may want a better option. I can not use my phone at any angle and charge at the same time.

I was hesitant but became a true believer!
1 December 2022

Like many others i thought "doesnt it take the same effort to place your phone on the pad as it would to plug it in and get a more powerful charge anyway?" BUT this charger is different, and its also different from those Qi pads you either own or have seen your friends use. Because of the powerful magnets all i have to do is come within an inch of the charging pad, lightly let go of the phone and the charger snaps onto it. It basically becomes the same action as simply placing the phone down, ive never had to double check it was charging. When done, I can easily use one hand to slide the charger off at the same time as picking it up. Some people seem to have trouble but all it takes is your brain and your thumb, no extra effort. I now charge my phone by mindlessly putting it down and picking it up.Ive read some people put velcro on the back side of the charger so that it becomes more stable, but no velcro works just fine for me. Lastly, if youre someone who uses your phone while it is charging i cannot comment on whether or not this charger is good for that as i always just pick it and if needed put it back down. Im not a heavy battery user.I dont like to admit it but Apple created a version of wireless charging that I really like. I never owned a Qi pad, they are all over my house though used by others and i have seen how they work, and coming from a iPhone 6 i was hesitant that wireless charging was just a dumb gimmick. The product is easy to use, feels well-made, and charges the phone faster than i expected. If youre on a budget right now i would definitely say hold off and stick to the cheaper options like direct plug in but if youre comfortable with your cash I say go for it! because i was pleasantly surprised after being quite cynical.

The Same Thing as the Apple Version

I ordered this to get with current technologies now that I have an iPhone12. I originally had a non-magsafe case on my phone and the charger worked but was hard to keep it charging since it would not lock on with the magnets. Not the fault of the charger, completely a case issue. I did buy one of the (overpriced) Apple magsafe cases and it works much better. The charger will snap onto the phone as long as you get it somewhere near the charging area. The only negative I have, and it would be the same with the Apple charger, is that the cord is very short. I have the charger sitting on my night stand and plugged into a power strip just under the bed. It has enough slack to make it onto the night stand with no tension, but if you need to look at the phone or want to ... MoreI ordered this to get with current technologies now that I have an iPhone12. Not a big issue, but an inconvenience if Im watching something in bed and want to charge my phone at the same time.

These work great
26 November 2022

Attach firmly to my iPhone 12. When I first got these I had a normal case on my iPhone. This worked well through the case. It charged the phone, but the magnetic grip holding the phone in place was only so-so. If I removed the case, the charger clung firmly to the back of my phone. I have since gotten a magnetic charging case. This works great with these chargers. It holds the phone very securely and charges the phone as expected. Also used these with Airpods Pro and it also works great there. These are well made, work as expected. Just one warning - these are not exactly the same size as the Apple brand. Close in size but not quite. They do not claim that these are size compatible with the Apple charger. If you get a device that is designed to hold an Apple Magsafe charger - this will likely not work with it. I got a Magsafe holder for my car that I was hoping to use with one of these chargers. These chargers were just a bit too big to fit. This is probably true of most third-party Magsafe chargers. I dont fault them for it as they never claimed it would work. You get a two-pack of these for less than the cost of the Apple-branded charger. I consider that a big win.

Worked great till an issue
17 June 2022

Cord worked great, and came even sooner than I thought it would. Worked great for 4 months, till the metal part that connects to the laptop was a bit loose. Wasn't a big issue, I'd just push it back in the little bit it would come out when I noticed my power going down. Then, the whole part came apart, the prongs attached to the cord, the little grey piece from between them the prongs go through, and the magnetic oval that would hold it to the laptop still stuck in the laptop. Tried a little glue, and it worked momentarily, but then gravity would fight the magnet and the glue lost, almost getting the silver piece stuck in the laptop again (managed to get it out though after a lot of work). Worked when held in place with tape for a little under a week, but then now ... MoreCord worked great, and came even sooner than I thought it would. Shame, I really liked it, it worked well with zero issues till this, charged up fast and well. Extra sad with how much I need my laptop currently, so I need a working cord again as soon as I can. Would recommend as it's not an issue I've seen anyone else report, and it might just be a one off fluke for me, but do so with caution.

Works EXACTLY like it should AND save you $$$! Whats not to like?

I was initially hesitant (skeptical, even) of MagSafe charging because I just didnt see how it was any different from a regular QI charger (albeit a little faster). As well, third-party chargers tend to be hit-or-miss with other companies sometimes having a great replacement, or something that just may completely fail outright. had this MagSafe charger on sale, so I figured Id take a shot and see what I thought. I gotta say, Im impressed!Pros- Magnet is strong enough to hold onto the phone THROUGH a thicker phone case. It doesnt click-and-stick as firmly as it would without the case, but its good enough to hold onto the phone itself even when you pick up the phone (see pictures for reference)- Comes with the USB A AND USB C charger, since it will still function as a ... MoreI was initially hesitant (skeptical, even) of MagSafe charging because I just didnt see how it was any different from a regular QI charger (albeit a little faster). (I think you have to use the USB C adapter)- Cheaper than the Apple branded MagSafe chargerCons- Still gotta get the wall charger separately (though this is universal whether you go of not)- According to other reviewers, it doesnt charge as fast as the OEM MagSfae charger, but for what you get (a cool magnetic qi charger) in exchange is not a bad trade. Just set it and forget it.SummaryCheaper than the official Apple MagSafe charger (you can get 2 of these if theyre on sale), works just the same as the magsafe charger, I mean, this is a win-win-win for me. So much so, I just went ahead about bought a second one because...reasons. Save yourself some money, get the charger and a 15W wall charger, and youre rockin and rollin! Of course, please be aware that it wont charge at the same speed as an OEM MagSafe, but hey, it still charges the phone so theres that. Will update, of course, should anything go wrong. Until then, happy MagSafe charging!
