My use case for these is as daily wear headphones, particularly while working in an office. I have AirPods Gen 1 and I'm quite fond of them, but I'm also a fan of active noise cancelation. I am a pilot and I've used headsets with active noise cancelation (mostly Lightspeeds) for about 15 years now (I was an early adopter) and I also use electronic hearing protection while shooting. The AirPods Pro 2 are significantly cheaper than aviation headsets but roughly in the price range of shooting headsets so I thought I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into with these - i.e. ear buds that offered an active noise cancelation that was not necessarily useful for hearing protection (they have no rating) but offered something like the active noise cancelation I'm used ...Ā MoreMy use case for these is as daily wear headphones, particularly while working in an office. The AirPods Pro 2 are significantly cheaper than aviation headsets but roughly in the price range of shooting headsets so I thought I had a pretty good idea what I was getting into with these - i.e. ear buds that offered an active noise cancelation that was not necessarily useful for hearing protection (they have no rating) but offered something like the active noise cancelation I'm used to from my Lightspeed aviation headset (in noise canceling mode) and something like the noise reduction with voice passthrough that I'm used to from my Sordin shooting headset when in transparent mode. Noise reduction mode delivers shockingly well. It does a very good job of shutting out ambient noise. Someone watching TV in the background? Significantly muted. HVAC/fan/PC noise? Gone. They're good enough that I'm probably going to wear them in my car since my Apple Watch informs me that my car is a loud enough environment that I'm vulnerable to long term hearing damage (it's a convertible, the exhaust is quiet but there's a lot of wind noise and the top doesn't do much to quiet other people's exhausts) and despite lacking a rating the rubber earpieces offer some passive noise reduction and the active may well be enough to take the edge off the poorly muffled motorcycles that seem to love to pace me right next to my left ear for miles on end. Transparency mode, on the other hand, is a massive disappointment. The idea behind transparency mode is, essentially, a not-rated-for-hearing-protection version of what you get with a pair of Sordins except instead of passive noise reduction with ambient noise passthrough (with processing to filter out sharp sounds, normalization, and clipping and filtering of loud sounds) and a volume control, so that ambient non-noise sound can be anywhere from significantly muted to amplified enough to cut through a pair of passive ear plugs worn under the electronic muffs. You sort of get a version of that. The AirPods Pro 2 add active noise reduction on top of it. Unfortunately, it's tuned very poorly. The default transparency mode plus "active transparency" perform something like what a pair of Sordins does in terms of clipping maximum volume but there's no volume control. You get a volume level that is basically slightly louder than ambient but with maybe some reduction of low range sounds and, crucially, a significant boost to mid and particularly high range sounds. HVAC noise is actually worse in transparency than it is when you're not wearing the AirPods at all. It also has an extremely unfortunate effect on keyboard sounds. A typical keypress is sort of a dull, low, clack. The default transparency settings turn it into a louder, shriller, sharper click. My keyboard, which I never really thought about before, is actually quite unpleasant in transparency mode. In general, the default transparency mode is probably something one would only use for very short periods such as a temporary interaction with someone (e.g. long enough to order coffee). For longer term use it's unpleasant enough that you would simply pull the AirPod out rather than switch modes. This is unfortunate as it largely undermines the entire sales pitch for the AirPods Pro. They aren't something you could put in and leave in with transparency enabled while on a walk with a friend and carry on a conversation with someone while preventing your ears from being hurt by a passing vehicle that's had its exhaust system compromised or wear in the office listening to music and switch to transparency mode to have a conversation with some coworkers. It amplifies background noise (again, keyboards become particularly unpleasant) enough that you're much better off simply taking them out, exactly as you would have with the old first gen airpods. There are custom adjustments for transparency (inexplicably buried a couple layers deep in accessibility settings rather than in the AirPod configuration menus) and they... help. Sort of. It's possible, with some fiddling (the best settings I found were maximum ambient noise reduction, zero amplification, and darkest sound settings, conversation boost disabled) to configure transparency such that it actually does a much better job of muting unwanted ambient sounds (you can get rid of the HVAC again) and retaining clear voice passthrough and even acceptable music passthrough, but even after spending an hour or so playing with all of the available configuration options I cannot find one that allows me to leave transparency enabled while typing. It just makes keypresses to shrill, sharp, and loud. There's a pretty significant amount of processing power built into these for their tiny size, though, so hopefully Apple will be able to update their algorithm such that you can wear them while using a computer. Honestly, given that Apple sells computers, it's kind of shocking that they were released in this state, but here we are. (It's worth noting that part of my disappointment comes from the Sordins I have being totally usable in similar situations (but lacking bluetooth and also obviously being industrial hearing protection) and I also have a set of Walker's digital hearing protection that does have Bluetooth and is much better at ambient sound passthrough (at half the price) but having disappointing sound if you want to listen to music on them. tl;dr Buy them if you have an iPhone and want good active noise cancelation in a very compact package with good battery life, and decent sound for music. If you're buying them as something you could wear to get, essentially, some background noise reduction and loud noise reduction in an office setting while still being able to talk to coworkers with them in - their weird tendency to actually amplify certain unpleasant frequency ranges in transparency mode makes them poorly suited for this application.

Many, like I was, are very sceptical whether they are the real deal because of the price. I can assure you THEY ARE! If unsure, check their warranty coverage by typing in the serial number on the manufacturerās web site to confirm. That aside these are a huge jump from their original predecessors. Firstly, and near most importantly for me, I was very concerned about their fit. Usual silicone in-air buds, because of their shape, would put pressure in my ear canal opening causing discomfort, sometimes pain, after some time. I could never get a good fit, thus causing them to fall out. These are revolutionary in terms of fit! One huge pet peeve with their predecessors. Now understand, everyoneās ear shapes are different, so maybe try them out at their manufacturerās store to test. Next, the audio from these guys are phenomenal, a huge jump from the AirPods. Because of the better seal from the silicone buds the sound is better contained, thus allowing you hear so much more. With that said, bass is strong, mids are well balanced and clear, the highs donāt scream overly high pitched noises. Iām no audiophile, but would say have a good ear for good audio and these are up there with the best. I must also mention the spacial audio is a phenomenal tech feature. To be able to hear sounds in their fixed or moving positions, no matter where you turn your head is truly an amazing feat. I look forward to hearing more music and video with this technology included. Now one of the best and newer features for earbuds for this company is the active noise cancelling. Awesome. Just brilliant. Audio is fully contained, external sound barely noticeable, and no issues with air pressure discomfort as I would often get with noise cancelling earphones. I have to say one of my favourite features is the audio transparency. Honestly there is hardly any difference whatsoever between hearing external sounds with these earbuds in or out of your ears. The only noticeable difference is when you talk. The internal vibrations of the head and thus the sound of your voice are augmented because they are contained with the seal of the earbuds in your ears. The same experience if you were to put your fingers in your ears. But this is expected. Overall a phenomenal pair of in-ear earphones, a full package in a small and compact package. Apple is known for taking a concept and making it great, if not the best. I have no disappointments in the wonderful audio experience these earphones give.

This review is for the original set of Airpods Pro. I purchased these on a sale and even then Iāve felt dissatisfied with them. The noise cancelling seal that Apple advertises does no good when the headphones themselves donāt manage to stay nestled into your ear after any slight (facial) movement. Making these inconvenient for wireless phone calls, work outs, let alone casual audio listening unless you stay very still. The alternative solution was to invest even more into third-party branded earbuds to replace the stock silicone tips with, but most of the brands Iāve tried came with their own slew of problems. They were either not noise cancelling, uncomfortable, or failed to stay in my ears too; and the price point became steep once you take into account that a lot ...Ā MoreThis review is for the original set of Airpods Pro. They were either not noise cancelling, uncomfortable, or failed to stay in my ears too; and the price point became steep once you take into account that a lot of these third-party earbud tips would need replacing every month or so. As an item out of the box, with no alterations and modifications, the original Apple Airpods Pro fall flat at delivering on their promise for good quality bluetooth headphones overall. Bluetooth technology included on most (mobile) devices for calls isnāt on the same level of audio quality that you can get with wired headphones, so youāll notice a significant difference when wearing these for meetings and phone calls compared to wired alternatives on the market. The same can be said for the audio quality outside of phone calls too, where the default and modified equalization settings donāt do much to push these headphones over the top at their usual requested price point. I highly recommend you save your money and look elsewhere, or do more research and prepare yourself to invest in solutions to help boost these from a lackluster product to an āokayā pair of headphones before purchasing.

Thereās also some customization options within the settings. What Iām not impressed with as much is the fitment ā and this is the sole reason why I went with the Pros. As long as I can remember apple headphones have never fit well in my ears. I figured the pro would alleviate this and for the most part it DOES, they work they do stay in 95% the time but not as securely as Iād like. Most people reading this will understand I feel like Iām constantly pushing them in to be positive theyāre not about to fall out. This is due to my own anatomical problems (big ears) and therefore I canāt rag too hard on Apple. You can buy little rubber ear attachment's on Amazon like I did but itās kind of a pain to put them on and take off when you want to put the earbuds back in the case.Lastly, Iām not super impressed with the battery life. I listen to a lot of podcasts on any given day (4-6 hrs) and while Iāve only had my earbuds die once I was surprised to see how much the battery drains on one consistent session of listening at 30-40% volume. If youāre the type of person to not put your earbuds back in the case youāre going to find the battery is going to die on the earbuds.Additionally, Iāve reset my airpod pros twice now to fix some glitchy issues. The main one was when taking a call on these Iāve had this happen twice where the person Iām speaking to couldnāt hear me and it kept cutting out but as soon as you switch to your speaker on the phone they could hear me. It wasnāt my phone service. Just something to consider if youāre gonna use these and take calls.
My AirPods have constant issues, weather it be connecting to my iPhone, the case not charging, or one of my AirPods being dead and not charging. Every time I plug my AirPods into a good charger, it never charges. My AirPods only charge on my chromebook or on an iPad charger. Last night I plugged them in for 3+ hours because I needed them for my 6.5 hour car ride I am currently on right now, and they didnt charge. Every time I plug my AirPods into a good charger, it never charges. My AirPods only charge on my chromebook or on an iPad charger. Last night I plugged them in for 3+ hours because I needed them for my 6.5 hour car ride I am currently on right now, and they didnt charge. They have no battery at all, not even enough to connect to my iPhone. Another instance of my AirPods being buggy is when I was in school sometimes I put 1 in when I was doing independent work, so I could listen if someone called my name but I could also listen to music. I often went to school with almost full or full charge in both my case and my AirPods themselves. In first period one time I had used my AirPod to listen to music because I was working on a project. It died later that period so I just put that one back in the case, and started using the other one. Class ended shortly after, and I didnt use them for a little while, until after lunch time. When I tried to use my right AirPod which I previously used at first period, it had no charge in it, and my case was nearly full, having about 80% charge left in it. Now this wasnt the worst thing ever, because I stillhad my left one that had almost full charge in it despite not charging for those 2 or so hours in between using them. Another instance was when I noticed my AirPods werent connecting. Seeing as my AirPods were at full charge, and had sat on the charger all night I just assumed it was a bug or glitch that I could resolve by disconnecting and reconnecting my AirPods. I soon came to realize that this wasnt just a quick solve. I could not get my airpods to connect, even after days, until I miraculously managed to connect them. Now in this time, I made sure I wasnt near any Bluetooth devices that my airpods could otherwise connect to, so I am still unsure why they wouldnt connect for that period of time. Anyways thats my terrible experience with airpod pros, and why I recommend you not to buy them. Hopefully this review was thorough, I took my time considering I have 2.5 more hours ahead of me in the car.
Might even fall within top five all-time. Anybody thatās ever researched then purchased a set of earbuds knows that thereās no such thing as a perfect set of them on the market they all have their pros and cons and even the best of the bunch still have Little things about them that you would like to change or improve if you were designing the next model of that product however that being said these Are about as close to perfect as you will find out on the market in my humble opinion though I havenāt tested or owned all the different brands and models though I have owned some skull candy and two different beats in ear headphones and before making each of those purchases did extensive market research before coming to a decision. So first let me say I wouldnāt waste my money on the new Apple AirPod Pro second generation because to me there isnāt enough Improvements to them that would warrant spending that much more for A few slight improvements and additions at best which at the end of the day arenāt that much different than the first generation but if money is not an issue for you and youāre one of the tech heads that has to have the most current model of there favorite go to brand then by all means go ahead they are going to be somewhat better however if youāre searching for value now then these are it considering that the new ones are currently in pre order with first deliveries on 09/23 theyāre just about to come available on the market and so theyāve put a price reduction on the first generation so I believe thatās where the value lies. Also let me say this unless you have abnormally shaped/small or large ear canals you shouldnāt have any issue with them falling out even when exercising heavily. And they charge in not very long amount of time and with the mag safe case you have quite a long battery life also if you have iPhone I donāt know why you would go with anything else except for possibly beats as the interface together perfectly just about. Also the noise cancellation is incredibly superb and yet still will allow you to hear important sounds such as sirens things of that nature which is just incredible that itās able to differentiate for you also work extremely well for using as a Bluetooth headset for phone calls etc and also the range of maintains good connection with whatever theyāre paired to via Bluetooth is very good and no matter what you are listening to whether it be music streaming movies or phone calls sound quality is superb allowing you to hear things that you just would not hear it unless play through a very expensive home or audio theater surround sound system or sound bar. Also they seem to be much more durable than match most all other on the market in fact if anything itās the charging case that might be suspect in that regard however there is so many different protective cases out on the market some even that are waterproof and dust proof and there is even AirPod individual protection pieces also attachment protective pieces and if youāre one of those people that has issues with with all headphones falling out due to small ears or whatever you can get the over the ear hook accessory items and even the behind the neck wire attachment to connected then too and you can even download the app in order to find Each individual airpod or the case if miss placed. That being said thereās a few things I would add or change if I could one being I would like them to have included more bass or mini subwoofer also being they cost as much as they do it would be nice if they were somehow able to take a mold cast of your ear canal and then custom make the silicone fittings for your ears specifically and the other thing and one and only thing that I would say could use improvement is some type of system to be able to lock shut the lid of the case and and or to come completely waterproof and dust proof not just resistant. Actually and one other thing be an improvement and that is better controls on the AirPods and selves so that you can adjust and do whatever you want by hand with just the AirPod itself also I forgot to mention that works great with Siri/Voice control directives I liked mine so much that I Just purchased a second pair after my first ones somehow got stolen at the gym
Airpods Pro are very cool, worth the price, decent active noise canceling for my area, great transparency mode. Great fit for my ears, im a android phone user and it connects to android. Great sound quality but kinda disappointed about the bass... but the bass is decent enough for people who don't like heavy bass. At least they have a bit more smooth bass then regular airpods. Great adaptive EQ.Great battery. Barely noticeable lag when playing mobile games such as pubgš. Great compact charging case design for my pants pockets. Doesn't fall out my ears when I fit them to the right silicone tips, I shook my head vigorously and still managed to stay in my ears even when my head is titled also. Very comfortable fit. Nice control features one press pause/play, double ...Ā MoreAirpods Pro are very cool, worth the price, decent active noise canceling for my area, great transparency mode. Nice control features one press pause/play, double press to skip track and triple press to previous track.Great for music, listening to phone calls and watching movies/videos, also great mic for calls. You can turn on or off the noise canceling/transparency mode by the earbuds itself. I have an android phone so you can't rename the airpods pro device with android, so your going to need an Mac/ipad/iPhone to rename the airpods pro device and also to change the features. You can't check the percentage of the device on android device, so you'll need a Mac/iPad/iPhone. Nvm I said anything about being disappointed about the bass, it's just some songs dont deliver that much bass as needed. They have really good smooth bass, if bass was a dish the airpods pro would be a very good plate for the yummy bass, for us bass headsš . Their sweat proof, so if your running and sweat is trying to let your airpods pro fall out they'll stay where they supposed to be IN EARSšGreat balanced audio bass/mids/and especially yes smooth crisp clear treble.
Keep on having issues, one earpiece wonāt hold a charge, I only use it once a day when I walk them put it back to the pod. However, the next day it dies when I take it out because it wasnāt charged while inside the pod. Happens many times and Iām constantly left my house without knowing the earpiece is drained after being in the pod charging for the whole day. Contact Apple and has to sent it to them. They did a hard reset then sent me back my AirPods, dirty and scratchy. Mine has always been in the case so it looks brand new, until they send it back to me. Then another problem arise, when putting back into the pod, it does not disconnect to it continued to drain the battery, sometimes I picked up a phone call and couldnāt hear, look at the connection and it was ...Ā MoreKeep on having issues, one earpiece wonāt hold a charge, I only use it once a day when I walk them put it back to the pod. Then another problem arise, when putting back into the pod, it does not disconnect to it continued to drain the battery, sometimes I picked up a phone call and couldnāt hear, look at the connection and it was connect to the earpiece, inside the AirPods, not even outside. Again many times Iām left with not being able to use it because it drained the battery from not automatically disconnect when putting in the pod, check the setting with Apple Rep and everything is set up correctly. Now I have to send it back again and this time they didnāt do anything, they notated, charging is working fine so they didnāt do anything. Even the note said itās not charging (this time) but issue with connectivity, it wonāt disconnect even though both earpieces are in the pod. Apple do not have good service when something goes wrong, they keep on misdiagnosed and donāt read their notes for repair. So now Iām stuck with an AirPods that works some day, and drained of battery, not usable certain days. So frustrated. In DƬ suck and tired dealing with their customer service, waste of time and nothing gets done.
The Apple AirPod Pros are an absolute necessity for anyone that listens to music, podcasts, or videos on the go. I am a student athlete and Iāve had these headphones for two years now. I personally use them to listen to artists such as Drake, Future, and Playboi Carti. These headphones are so small and so light weight making them extremely easy to carry around everywhere you go. You may be thinking, āHow small are they?ā well theyāre about 31 millimeters! With them being so small the case can fit in your pocket with ease and makes them easy to use at any place at any time. Now with this information you could be asking yourself, āIf theyāre that small could I lose or misplace them somewhere?ā The truth is, yes it is possible for them to fall out of your pocket but ...Ā MoreThe Apple AirPod Pros are an absolute necessity for anyone that listens to music, podcasts, or videos on the go. Now with this information you could be asking yourself, āIf theyāre that small could I lose or misplace them somewhere?ā The truth is, yes it is possible for them to fall out of your pocket but Apple uses an app called Find My to track your devices. Using this app you are able to pinpoint the exact location of your headphones if you were to lose them. The sound quality is amazing with these headphones and throughout my usage I have never experienced a problem. The bass is unmatched and makes listening to music feel like a whole new experience. The song āStarboyā by The Weekend and the song āSeven Army Nationā by The White Stripes have an amazing bass using these headphones. The sound that comes through is extremely clear and the volume is amazing making them much better than the original AirPods. I constantly use the noise canceling feature on the AirPod Pros whenever I am in the gym listening to music. The noise canceling allows me to easily hear my music and limit the amount of surround sound I hear when people are slamming weights and the gym is playing their own music over the speakers.Charging these headphones is an easy task because putting them in the case for 30 minutes gives them a full battery or 5 hours of listening time. It also only takes an hour to charge the case to full battery. The downside of this product is that the price is on the higher side being close to $250.00 which may be a deal breaker for some consumers.Compared to other headphones for example the Beats Studio Buds I feel that the AirPod Pros are better because while they are both small and lightweight the AirPod Pros have a better microphone quality and noise canceling feature. The Beats Studio Buds on the other hand do have a better battery life and cost only $150. Therefore it comes down to you as a consumer and which features you prefer along with what you can afford.I prefer the AirPod Pros because they make listening to music easier.
