Apple iPad Air (M2, 2024) - 11-inch - Wi-Fi + Cellular - 128 GB - Starlight

Got this for a family member. I caved on getting her the 11 inch & opted for the 13. It IS a big bit of real estate but as it's now her main device it makes sense. The screen resolution is very impressive & it copes well running several, resource heavy, apps simultaneously.This was a replacement for an older iPad which Apple bricked the battery on via an update( literally. Instantly & from there on the battery more than halved it's endurance). Not AO's fault of course. Excellent product.

Bought to replace previous iPad. The iPad Air does not disappoint. It is easy to set-up. It has a clear screen, is fast, reliable and takes sharp photos and is pleasant to use. The 11 inch screen is a good comfortable size for daily use.Disappointed that Apple have discontinued including the new USB-C power adapter in the box which adds extra expense. I would definitely recommend purchasing the Apple Smart Folio (although it is expensive) as it is a perfect fit and is extremely well designed by Apple and protects your iPad well.I use my iPad daily and now hardly use my Microsoft laptop as the iPad Air is far superior and easier to use.The order process & delivery by John Lewis was as usual fast and efficient and I was given a Pin Code for delivery so that gave me ... MoreBought to replace previous iPad. Happy with my upgrade purchase

Happy I upgraded to this model iPad Air from my original 2016 Pro. This has the M2 Pro chip so nice and quick with a good quality display and sound. I'm getting used to the new swipe up feature t close apps and I prefer the fingerprint reader at the top. I was quite lucky the colour purple I wanted was reduced at JL so the money I saved actually paid for the new plug that you need for this device. Rather annoyed with Apple since they changed the cable connections that you need a new plug that no longer comes with your device. I can't actually see why it couldn't still have been USB to C so the old plugs aren't obsolete which is my issue with Apple. Life enhancing product!

It's a lot of money but the iPad Air 2024 (13") has definitely added something to my life. The best thing is the big screen for reading. Previously I was trying to do that on my iPhone and rarely finished a ( newspaper) article because it was just too difficult. With a Bluetooth keyboard it has replaced my seven or eight year old lap top. I've also recently downloaded Tidal for streaming music. Again the big screen is really useful for seeing a whole lot of album or artist choices alongside the current playlist. Lightweight and powerful tablet

All together is a very good and powerful product. I can perform many tasks without needing my PC. Surfing, watching videos, taking notes and developing photos with Lightroom for iPad works very well. Combined with a (pricey) Magic Keyboard is almost like having a very lightweight laptop.It misses a few “pro” features that justify the more expensive model. For example, the 120Hz variable refresh rate, and the Face ID unlock. However, are minimal aspects that is possible to ignore.For heavier duty operations I use the VMWare Horizon client to connect it to a Windows instance if needed, but is a very niche application.All and all, is a very capable and powerful powerhouse, I highly recommend it as an alternative to a laptop. First the bad news. If you are, like me, upgrading from a previous iPad and think your Apple Pencil will work, think again. You WILL need the Pro Pencil, you could get away with the USB C charging Pencil if on a budget. That said, the new iPad Air is fast, I'm comparing to my old iPad Pro, original, it's quite the jump. Better definition, faster screen movement, quicker access. The Pencil Pro is another jump and one I'm very happy with. Photos look great, games seem better and faster, messages and mail are quick. Attaching and editing photos with the apps is also a real boon. The ability to arrange apps is great and when switching from an existing Apple device, all you do is point the camera at the old device and that's it. Yes, I made the leap, and it was a good one. This little, well not so little, beauty was an invest I was looking forward to making. Set up from the old to the new was a cinch! The size is brilliant, it is 13" so be aware, larger than most tablets, but it is light! Don't go getting thick chunky covers else you'll lose the benefit of the lighter size. Fast, lightening fast in comparison and if you get this I highly recommend the Pencil Pro to go with. They work so well together. I swapped out my iPad mini and kept the old iPad Pro, I'm now considering getting the new 11" version and swapping out the Pro, though that is a consideration. I waited a while before I wrote a review on this because I wanted to test it out and I’d say it’s been a few months now and so far everything is great. I had the old iPad Air 11 inch model before the M1 chip and I could say the upgrade to the 13 inch M2 iPad Air is pretty good. It’s a lot faster, and I can play any of my games on a bigger screen and the battery life is amazing. I didn’t realize how much of an upgrade it was going to be until I started using it, but but it does run faster and it has great battery life a substantial amount more than the 11 inch that I use, definitely worth it. The screen is the same. The speakers are a lot better. First of all, somehow, I think it’s lighter than the 7th gen regular iPad! Or if it isn’t, it sure gives the impression that it is, despite being considerably larger. Second, TouchID is via the power button is as flawless as I was hoping it would be. Personally, I always found TouchID on the iPhone to be a heck of a lot more convenient than FaceID (I understand that I’m a minority in this respect) and its implementation here doesn’t disappoint. Third, although I never looked at the new iPad Pro with its OLED screen, the Air’s screen is no slouch and is plenty great to meet my needs. Lastly, build quality/design and processor speed are welcome upgrades over my old 7th gen iPad. Final impression? The 13” iPad Air is a delight to behold and use! In my mind, it often (usually?) takes Apple years to develop products that are truly worthy of its own hype but they finally succeeded with the new Apple Air. No buyer’s regret on this purchase.

The only thing that bothered me is that when I got this. There is a small dented part by the camera. I returned it and immediately got a new one from Best Buy’s return policy.60 fps, 2 speakers, Touch ID, never bothered me opposed to the IPad Pro version. These never stopped me from being productive.The only thing I wish is the thunderbolt capabilities. That would be epic for iPad Air as I am basically using this as a laptop and file transferring would be more convenient with the thunderbolt.The nicest thing is being able to just go from iPHone files to iPad and how iCloud sync works.
