Avid iPad user since the first iPad came out

I have an iPad Air 10.9 with Wi-Fi ONLY. I decided to purchase an iPad with LTE service. I have to say this by far is my favorite iPad and super feeds the iPad Air in terms of what I use it for (work). The LTE IS FAST, LTE in general is soooo much better than just Wi-Fi.I have started taking notes, planning, and doing work all off of my iPad. It has able pencil 2 capabilities. No problems here if you’re looking for something small, user friendly, and compact THIS is the iPad for you. I absolutely love it. No regrets, 256gb is perfect. More than enough storage for your needs.

Good thus far

Haven’t used it much yet. Bought it to replace my larger iPad as I only use it for flying. I didn’t order “excellent” condition. The condition I received it in is pretty close to that. A few nicks on the metal around the edge but nothing drastic. Screen is in perfect condition. Operating procedures seem normal. I have not had a chance to challenge the battery life yet but I will this weekend. Overall, I’d definitely say I got the best bang for the buck. I am most pleased with the fact that I did in fact receive it in two days

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying at the authentic Apple Store so you pay less , can call for support, be served by knowledgeable, friendly employees and SHOULD anything not be perfect you can just walk in and get yourself a new ipad .I particularly like the smaller Ipad because of my small hands and with arthritis less discomfort when handling. Someone said they had an issue with quick drain of battery when using the pencil .. I bought an off brand pencil instead of the 100. 00 version ( Amazon ) as per recommendation of an Apple Store rep ! Zero battery issue and I paid only 35.00 for baby pink to match my pink Ipad. I bought my pad with the extra storage too . Well ❤️‍🩹 worth it purchase .

Smooth purchase and trade-in; glitchy iOS updating and data transfer

The online purchase and in-store trade-in experiences were smooth. The iPad mini, of course, is everything we expected it to be. But...we ran into repeated problems transferring data from the old iPad to the new iPad. The process would hang up or loop, particularly when we tried to update the iOS, as required before anything else could be done. Pro tip: Do all of this through your Mac desktop. That is, back up your old iPad to the Mac and then activate, update and transfer data to your new iPad through the Mac. That was the only way we could get this thing going.

Upgraded from mini 2 16gb

It is much faster than the old version I had, and with the larger memory I no longer have to keep some apps in the cloud to allow for enough memory to run some apps. The charging port is no usb-c instead of lightning and some chargers/cords I already have don’t work. You need specifically, usb-c to usb-c cord with a power source that uses the PD (power on demand) protocol, NOT the fast charge protocol it used in the past. Had to replace cords, wall cubes and portable battery packs I used in past. Also after 4 months my usb-c port died. Waiting for replacement as I type. No headphone jack so have to use a port dongle with headphone/charge connectors. Also the upper right corner gets very hot when using wi-fi, much warmer than expected. Old device only got slightly warm.

What a great little device!

What a great little device. I bought this to replace my old iPod Touch as it was falling apart. And I intended to use it solely for my music library but I've found so many other uses for it. From games to movies and being able to facetime all of my friends which normally I couldn't do since I have an Android phone. I also love the smaller size. It's a lot easier to use than the regular sized iPads while still being big enough to feel like a tablet. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.
