Apple iPad Mini Wi-Fi 64GB - Gold

I had the iPad 2 and then the iPad 3 and then the iPad 4 and now I have the iPad 12.9. I’ve had a lot of iPads. So anyways I found the iPad 3 was pretty good. I actually bought another of that iPad 3 for my mom.. And three years ago when she passed on, I gave it to my sister-in-law. My mom loved her iPad. And there was one game she would always play on that iPad. It’s called Befuddled. She would play that game for hours on end. She’s probably playing it in Heaven right now.. But iPads have come up so much further from the iPad 3. So if you don’t care about upgrading to a newer iPad, then stick with the iPad 3.

The 3rd Generation IPad was my 1st IPad and it lasted forever. I’m fact, I bet if I went and plugged it in, I could still use it. With it being almost 10 years old, that is pretty incredible! The only reason I got a new one was for the updated tech and storage. I don’t know if you can still purchase the 3rd generation, but if so, and you don’t care about all the updates Apple has made, it is recommended due to the longevity of it alone.

The previous reviews are correct, it comes with substandard 5W charger. However, this product is just as good as a new one as far as I can tell. Great deal, I was glad to get this for almost $100 off. No noticeable signs of being used, and the performance is exactly what you would hope for. If the charger is a deal breaker, do not purchase this. Otherwise it’s as good as new.

Crap

Bought this in October for a Christmas present for my son so I hid it in the closet on Christmas when I opened it it was scratched really badly. I thought well it is used so illl let that go even though when I’ve bought refurbished items before they didn’t look like a car ran them over. I then tried to charge it and noticed it wouldn’t charge. I thought it was the charger so I went to Apple and got a new charger which cost me 30 bucks. And the iPad still doesn’t charge. I can’t return the item because “ it’s past the window “ for returns. So my poor son is stuck with this iPad that he can’t use. I feel like I was robbed. I can’t believe Walmart affiliates with this company!!

I'm a believer

I bought my ipad mini because I had carpal tunnel in one hand and wanted a tablet I could use my other hand to type with (one-handed typing). Compared to the other tablets I tried out, the keyboard on the ipad was just so much more functional.Since buying it, I've really become a true fan. I LOVE my ipad mini. It's the perfect size to use instead of my laptop for business trips, it supports all my software, and even beyond the keyboard it's made my life easier. I love how easy it is to use, how much space I have on it, and how portable it is. Ipads are pricey, yes, but I don't think I could switch brands at this point. I'm a believer.

Left over junk!

Piece of junk! Should've listened to the other reviwers. The unit came in a generic flimsy brown box. No safety cover of anykind. No manual direction. Zip. Zero. Nada. Just a set of cable as the second layer. Bought it for our 7 yr old grandson to start his eLearning from home during these schools shut down.The unit turned on to several foreign languages. When set on "English" it just kept on going and going like it was stuck. Took our grandson to help us out of it. When we finally got to the part where we set up the User ID and Password .... it says to call Apple for further assistance because the unit already had "too many" passwords registered to it. Love the mini

I have bought one or more of each model of the Ipad mini and have loved every single one. Whenever I upgrade, I give the old one to either my kids, my mom or my sister's kid. I was worried that Apple might discontinue the mini and was pleasantly surprised when they released this new model. I obviously had to get one. Love it so much. It is so much faster than my old one (my husband had the last upgrade so mine was 2 models old) and works wonderfully. I mainly use it to watch movies or tv shows, and to read when I travel, and to store photos as a back up. I hope Apple keeps making new models of this as I love the size for travel.

My iPad Mini & me - constant companions

I use the iPad mini instead of a second screen. While I am on video conferences I check facts and run a recording/transcribing app. It’s a helpful tool for my marketing and writing work. Apple doesn’t require me to be a technical genius to keep it updated. (PCs are more complicated.) This is my third iPad. The mini is easier for travel than the full size. I’m most grateful that my desktop Mac, iPad mini and iPhone stay synced and backed up. I can start something on one device and continue on either of my other devices. Thankfully, I’ve never had a security breach. I recommend getting Apple Care for support.

Worth it to get this instead of the 8th generation

This is a great tablet. Has everything I would ever need (a decent camera, good processor for games, handles multitasking well, browsing internet is fast, and the size is perfect. I had bought a iPad 8th generation and returned it due to the plastic screen (the touch doesn’t feel as authentic and may not last as long) and also the size was too big for me once I put on the case. This is much lighter, easier to text with, and easier to game with. The downside it has to the 8th generation is you don’t get the 20 watt fast charger. Honestly, I’d rather have a better iPad then have it charge faster. Most people would probably agree. Plus, the selfie camera is better on the mini.

iPad Mini Gen 5

The 5th gen mini is virtually weightless compared to our old one (2012 2nd gen). We let the device go completely flat before it’s first charge (as is recommended) and the battery seems to be holding up to the rigours of its daily workout of Terraria and Robloxs. We can get six hours on Terraria and mixed internet browsing before it needs a charge, but we have only had it two weeks, aha. Perhaps my opinion is skewed because our old iPad was ancient, but this gem has beautiful, crystal clear graphics and there’s new nifty upgrades to older iPad features that we find handy. The click n collect process had same day turnaround, staff at the Northland, Vic, store were very pleasant.
