Apple iPad Pro 11-inch Wi-Fi 128gb - Space Gray

This is a LONG-awaited for item my 13 year old daughter spent ALL her money on so she could work towards becoming a graphic artist and movie maker is a scam. Years of work, earning money, going without birthday presents in lieu of money so one day she could launch her desired career. First world goodness and capitalism at work. She opened it, turned it on, and the dial spun. It has been spinning for an hour and half so far and this has been the GREATEST LET DOWN ever. Sorry to everyone who has lost a parent. She hasn't yet, so this is the worst experience ever for her. This is why we don't slave away for Apple products in our family. Normally EVERY product we buy is NOT Apple and it works straight out of the box. No spinning wheels or perpetually floating dots. Normally EVERY product we buy is NOT Apple and it works straight out of the box. No spinning wheels or perpetually floating dots. Not so with APPLE. Why people are loyal to this garbage that controls you with constant, irritating requests to enter your password is beyond my comprehension. It's not even that this is refurbished! All Apple products I have ever been exposed to are this irritating! Of course, my recommendation is to NEVER EVER BUY apple products. Extremely disheartening and disappointing. Probably will give this about 10 days to start working and then we will return this. What a waste of her precious time.l and money.

The iPad Pro 11-inch (2024) is a powerful and versatile tablet, designed for professionals and creative users. Here’s a detailed review: ### **Design and Build** The iPad Pro 11-inch retains its sleek, modern design with a slim profile and thin bezels. The aluminum body feels premium, and it’s lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The 11-inch size strikes a good balance between portability and screen real estate, making it ideal for both casual use and professional tasks. ### **Display** The Liquid Retina display is one of the standout features of the iPad Pro. The 11-inch screen offers vibrant colors, deep blacks, and excellent brightness. It supports ProMotion technology, which provides a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making everything from scrolling to drawing with the Apple Pencil feel incredibly responsive. ### **Performance** Powered by the M2 chip, the iPad Pro 11-inch is one of the fastest tablets on the market. Whether you’re editing 4K video, playing graphically-intensive games, or running multiple apps simultaneously, the iPad Pro handles everything with ease. The M2 chip ensures future-proofing for demanding tasks and applications, making it a viable laptop replacement for many users. ### **Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard** The iPad Pro 11-inch is fully compatible with the second-generation Apple Pencil, which magnetically attaches to the side of the device for easy pairing and charging. The Apple Pencil is a must-have accessory for artists, designers, and note-takers, offering precise input and a natural feel. The Magic Keyboard transforms the iPad Pro into a laptop-like device with a full keyboard and trackpad. The typing experience is excellent, and the trackpad adds a new level of functionality for navigating the interface. ### **Software** Running iPadOS, the iPad Pro 11-inch takes full advantage of its hardware. The operating system is optimized for multitasking, and features like Split View and Slide Over make it easy to work with multiple apps simultaneously. However, while iPadOS is powerful, it still has some limitations compared to a full desktop operating system like macOS or Windows. ### **Battery Life** The iPad Pro offers impressive battery life, with around 10 hours of usage on a single charge for tasks like web browsing and video playback. More demanding activities, like video editing or gaming, will drain the battery faster, but it still holds up well for a full day of work or entertainment. ### **Camera and Audio** The camera system on the iPad Pro is robust for a tablet. The 12MP wide and 10MP ultra-wide cameras deliver sharp, vibrant photos and 4K video recording. The front-facing TrueDepth camera supports Face ID and offers excellent video quality for video calls. The four-speaker audio setup provides rich, immersive sound, making it great for watching movies or listening to music. ### **Price** The iPad Pro 11-inch is a premium device, and its price reflects that. It’s more expensive than the iPad Air or standard iPad, but for users who need top-tier performance and features, it’s worth the investment. ### **Conclusion** The iPad Pro 11-inch is an exceptional tablet that blurs the line between a tablet and a laptop. Its powerful M2 chip, stunning display, and excellent accessory ecosystem make it a top choice for professionals, creatives, and anyone who needs a high-performance mobile device. However, its premium price and the limitations of iPadOS might make it overkill for casual users who don’t need the extra power.

A Fabulous Tablet

I started using Apple tech in the mid 1990s while I was the IT Director for an international executive search firm based in Switzerland. I traveled around North America for work, but found shlepping around a heavy laptop and accessories did not make my travel easy. I started with the first Apple Message Pad and said “Goodbye” to the laptop! Years later I adopted iPods, iPhones, iPads, MacBook Pros…I’m writing this review on my 12.9 inch iPad Pro first generation regarding the 11 inch iPad Pro M1 with 16 go ram and 1 tb. That is at my sometimes home and allows me to travel there and tech is there for me. Truth be told, I did sheep that ipad back home right after I bought it and used it daily before traveling home with it. What a delight that tablet is to use! Its screen is wonderful to view images, documents and the web. As I am a photographer the iPad is a powerful but small piece of configurable tech that can enhance your life. As I’m writing this review, I’m struggling with replacing my 12.9 inch iPad Pro with the smaller version. These tablets allow you to extend your laptop’s desktop onto the iPad, listen to music, watch videos, have FaceTime meetings as well as video meetings on a variety of platforms including Zoom, Teams, etc. and even let’s you control other computers! I may just purchase the 11 inch iPad Pro, M2 Silicon to replace my old 12.9 inch iPad, as the superior experience I have using the M1 Silicon tablet gives me a happy feeling as I think about all the great times I have had editing images with Adobe Lightroom, Creative Cloud, ON1, and others. Now that these devices use USB-C instead of lightning cables, they are easier for me to charge as I have charging setup for 14 inch Mackbook Pro M1, and can use the same charger/cable combo for both. I highly recommend you consider this “Fablet” - Fabulous Tablet - for yourself so you can have the same enhanced user experience as I.

Best Buy’s lowest cost iPad Pro to enable Apple AI

At the moment, it seems to be Best Buy’s lowest cost iPad Pro that is compatible with the upcoming new Apple AI features. Although the latest and lower costing iPad Air also has M2 CPU and 128GB of storage to enable Apple Intelligence, the additional hardware features of the iPad Pro (4th generation) are useful for faster data file transfers that are helpful for my photography. I don’t need this iPad Pro’s, pro-motion display or extra wide angle camera but its face-id feature is magically handy. While there are less expensive iPads with non-M series CPU’s and the minimum 64GB of storage but such iPads will not be near future capable of the Apple AI experience. Light, Versatile Little Genie

The iPad Pro 11” M2 Chip is a powerhouse performer, yet easy to carry and balance on your lap to work on. In its understated appearance and squared off corners, it can process and manage data to exceed many of the big Macs. The storage level I chose was the 256 GB because I keep my iPads for a number of years. I traded in an iPad Pro 10.5” 2017 for this device and received a very fair trade-in value from Best Buy. Although I thought about the current generation of iPad Air, I compared the devices on the Apple web site. I have enjoyed designing and publishing because the screen resolution and the color are authentic and appealing.Coming from an older but still very function Pro, I thought about the iPad 10th Generation, but decided I would be taking a step ... MoreThe iPad Pro 11” M2 Chip is a powerhouse performer, yet easy to carry and balance on your lap to work on. (That’s extraordinary power in a portable device! It’s actually six cores more than the 4 core GPU of the iPad 10.9” iPad 10th Gen.)For me, the Face ID is a game changing feature. With my previous iPad Pro, I couldn’t get it to read my fingerprint. So when it locked up, I had to enter the passcode too often to think about. The five (!) studio quality microphones create an arguably better sound than my MacBook Air (again proving that size is not necessary to be a transcendant device in every way). No discussion would be complete without a discussion of the battery. The battery is fairly powerful as well, and it does last at least 20 hours with 48% still remaining.Best Buy gave me a very good deal on my iPad Pro and I traded in the iPad Pro 10.5” for a good price to Best Buy.

Robust companion

The 256GB storage is a blessing for someone like me who hoards apps and photos; I haven't had to worry about space at all.The Retina display shines when I'm editing photos and has the best in class performance. The colors pop, making my amateur photography look surprisingly professional. I can run a presentation, have multiple tabs open, and still experience no stutter. It's multitasking made easy.Lastly, the battery life is solid. What an improvement from my fifth generation iPad

Coming from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. Also other things to get used to with new iOS, like when I swipe up from the bottom, the taskbar pops up first, when I’m used to minimizing the screen first. So you kind of have to continue swiping to shrink your browser window, or search through apps, not sure if I’m explaining that clearly, but when you swipe up to get all the open windows and apps, and you can flick them up to make them disappear, that’s the function I’m talking about. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. ... MoreComing from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though it’s not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. It looks bigger than my iPad fifth generation, but it doesn’t feel any heavier or harder to hold. I have not bought the keyboard for it, but I’m thinking about it as it is seems from online reviews kind of handy to not drag my laptop inside or further taking out my laptop, plugging it in, and going through all that when this is always charged and in my room. I can swipe through emails, search the web, check out YouTube, social media, real estate, all very easily, while lying in bed without any discomfort. I added a slim shell case, as I don’t like those other cases that cover and prop up, and feel bulky holding while sitting in bed, or on the couch. Battery also last twice as long as my four or five year old fifth-generation. A dislike is the power down feature , though, I think I can fix that in settings, and screenshot doesn’t feel natural either. It’s set up where I pinch the top button and top volume button meaning I have to grab the top corner together with fingers on both hands and doesn’t feel easy to do in hand and I have to rest the tablet on my stomach to hold pressure while pressing. Old method better and more secure using the two palms of my hand on two opposite ends of the tablet made it much easier to hold without feeling like the tablet is gonna fly out of my hand, or fall on the ground. Also the old method was easy, either horizontally or vertically. I guess I have to get used to it if I can’t fix it in settings, which I know there are a few settings like that which I need to explore. So I’ve heard it before, and now I agree, Apple needs to bring back the button!!!

But then would not charge or even indicate the power cable needed to be or was attached. Diagnostic by Apple® was unsuccessful though they were willing to sell me another one! As Best Buy Total Tech Member and a Monthly Subscription to AppleCare+ on the 11-inch iPad Pro 512 GB, the Best Buy Representative Required, Insisted the product would have to be inspected by a Geek Squad Agent in the Store. There they would place the iPad Pro on some “proprietary diagnostic equipment behind the magic curtain” only certain Geek Squad agents are trained to Operate? Objecting to the process of returning the product to the store, having someone do what has already been done by Apple representatives, and when they were not able to get it a resolution, I was informed the Geek Squad department would have to send the product back to Apple. So I paid $179 for an annual membership to Best Buy for a Geek Squad tech-support department who will send it back to Apple for me! In addition, I pay a monthly AppleCare+ subscription that allows me to send it back to Apple directly! Then Apple will ship to me another reconditioned “previously defective” product, because the 11-inch iPad Pro is now being Manufactured with the M4 Apple Chip. Request for an upgrade to the superior product having a negligible cost difference, but neither of the Company’s are willing to concede the Product is defective, and the Geek Squad refused to take the product in for the “diagnostic” because it was to close to closing time! The Consumer is not agreeable with the resolution, has provided an acceptable resolution. Consumer’s Resolution Denied! Buyer Beware?
