So, I’ve had this iPad for about two months now and I adore it! I purchased the one without cellular the 256g. I also bought the Apple Pencil as well! *DO NOT SKIP THIS PART*
So, without doing research about the pencil, I thought the newer the better, I purchased the WRONG one. THE SECOND GEN PENCIL IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY 10GEN
IPADS! The first gen pencil is! So, I had to exchange mine for the correct pencil! Do not be like me 👍🏾. I digress.. I am a college student and I take all of my notes on my iPad

Summation: my iPad Air 5 fits my various needs without demanding a lot of tech know how. It’s portable, reliable, and assures access to the plethora of too small print. I opted for the Verizon chip again to assure anywhere access and deter snooping that plagues public Wi-Fi. Rei on staff are great: neither too techno nor making up answers when they don’t know. They are quick and listen so they respond well to questions. All around, a worthwhile experience even though it was not the cheapest deal around.... Show more

Everything as expected from Apple
23 July 2023
Upgrading from a nine year old model and easy to adapt to lack of Home button and sundry other changes. Good size screen, although not as 'edge to edge' as I expected as far as viewable size is concerned.Using with (and at times without) a Logitech Combo Touch keyboard which adds considerably to the weight but much preferred when typing lengthy documents or emails etc. For travel will use without, but in a lightweight slipcase for protection.Hard to accurately assess at this stage but I am impressed with the better battery life than that I remember from my old model when it was new.All in all iPad for me is still an excellent choice, though time will tell if it deserves better than 4 Star rating.... Great Overall Value

This is a great tablet however it’s missing some things that make me go huh?Performance wise this tablet is fantastic, I love the ability to multitask with ease. I experienced no lagging whatsoever while running procreate, YouTube, safari, and express at the same time. The display is stunning, the fullness of the colors doesn’t leave much more to desire. Although it’s not 120hz, it’s smooth and snappy. The bezels are definitely thick, however imo because of the size of the tablet I’m unbothered. Watching YouTube videos or movies on it is exceptional.Sound quality wise, and maybe my only gripe is I don’t think the speakers are very loud. They are loud enough if you’re nearby but if your listening while moving around you’ll definitely have difficulty. Watching YouTube videos or movies on it is exceptional.Sound quality wise, and maybe my only gripe is I don’t think the speakers are very loud. They are loud enough if you’re nearby but if your listening while moving around you’ll definitely have difficulty. For example, if you’re cooking and watching a video, the sound of water boiling will drown it out unless your iPad is near it which I wouldn’t recommend. Otherwise the sound is rich enough to catch those annoying parts in the movies where you’re not sure if you should turn your volume up because the next scene might bust your eardrums. The camera is okay, not impressive but definitely does the job.Connectivity hasn’t been an issue, even when I tethered it to my iPhone 12pro, it operated with great speed and ease when I did a quick download.I love that I can work between my tablet, iPhone and Mac mini with ease. I also find much more productivity because not everything is done on my iPhone where there can be a bunch of distractions. As far as use with the Apple Pencil, it’s been stellar. I’ve never used one before so I have nothing to compare it to besides maybe the S pen. It works without lag nor is it overly sensitive. I’d recommend this to anybody who draws anything from fashion to anime, even if you’re a writer who wants the security a tablet can bring, it’s a good choice to pair with this iPad.Battery life is great, I charge it after a few days of moderate use typically. It’s a tough cookie. The back is aluminum with a nice matte finish, scratches won’t likely be an issue and fingerprints don’t show up unless your touching the apple logo on the back which is reflective. What makes me go huh? I love that Touch ID is a thing but even lower end devices have face unlock. It should be available on the iPad Air imo. Also because it’s a tablet which would typically be for reading, I don’t understand why apple has barred Nook purchases. Also, although I greatly prefer usb-c type, it’s now another separate charger that must be used from the iPhone. I will say I love that they did add the charger brick alongside the usb type c cable.Imo this is a great middle ground choice within the apple sphere however, far from a middle grounded device overall. In comparison to other brands, this iPad Air will give them a run for their money for sure. One thing apple does well is give people reliability within their products, with that said, imo the price point is fair.Aesthetically it’s beautiful, the color is... Show more

I like it

I think it’s a great device for a great price. The iPad Air 5th Generation is very powerful and really benefits from Verizon’s amazing 4G LTE coverage. Most of the time I have had 5G nationwide coverage, but it’s often times the similar or worse than the 4G LTE. I assume it’s because it’s new technology and has some quirks. Every once in awhile the 5G nationwide gives me about 100mbps compared to 4G LTE at like 80mbps, but like I said the 5G has quirks like random dips in download and upload speeds. Serious dips under 1mbps. The 4G LTE is more consistent and saves battery so I almost always keep 5G off.I’m sure that if you have 5G UW coverage then it’s worth it to keep it on but I don’t have that here yet.Anyways, the tablet itself is unbeatable in value and ... MoreI think it’s a great device for a great price. It’s just as powerful as the iPad Pro and it has everything you’ll need. It’s not worth $300-$400 extra for 120hz and AR sensors. There’s also probably going to be an upgrade to the pro this fall so you’ll be current for longer with the iPad Air.The only thing that holds the iPad back is iPad OS. It’s restrictive and missing a lot of features that would benefit it greatly. This is just because of Apple making their iPhones and iPads impossible to fully utilize with software restrictions. It sucks because jailbreaks are rare nowadays with current Apple devices. This shouldn’t be a huge problem if you also have a PC for the things that Apple restricts on iPad.Overall the iPad is great and I recommend it, but don’t expect it to be able to perform like your PC. The sad thing is that it’s powerful enough to run like a PC but it’s restricted by Apple. Regardless it’s great for what it does and you can’t beat it as far as cellular tablets goes.Definitely get the 256GB. It’s perfect.... Show more

In love with the iPad Air
23 June 2023
Am absolutely in love with this device. For my purposes (work, streaming, light gaming, note taking), I couldn’t justify the extra cash to move up to the Pro. Nor did I really want a 13” device, as I already have a laptop. Device quality is top notch, and the M1 chip is more than enough for me. Wish they had a 128GB option, but I pay for 2TB of iCloud Drive, so the 64GB isn’t really an issue. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a device to fit between their phone and their laptop. Gave it 4 stars for lack of storage at 128GB, otherwise it would be perfect.... Show more

Pros and cons everybody will have to decided it for themselv

I was looking for a new iPad to replace my iPad Pro from 2017. It got to the point where I had to charge the battery every day and I was fed up with it. I spent days researching which iPad to get. None of them stood out in terms of performance /price. I was hesitant to buy this due to every blog, vlog, video, article saying that battery life isn't great. I went ahead and I ordered it anyway. Unfortunately they were right. I only watch a couple of videos a day on it and I still have to charge it every day...such a let down. Also, I don't like the black frame around the screen either, very annoying. Other than that the video quality is a huge improvement from my old iPad.One that once opened you can't return it so be careful what you splash on. Went from Air 3 to Air 5
9 November 2022
Got this mainly for streaming for my handicapped adult daughters movies. Have to get used to the no home button which isn't too bad. Now I have to figure out how to set up the guide controls without the triple clicking the home button. If I make it to tripple click the screen I don't think it's going to work for her as she makes all kinds of movement over the screen and can't just point. Big plus is the type C charger, finally. Yay! It's super fast and I got the 256GB to have some movies downloaded and available available off line for her when needed. Went from the IPad Air 3 to the 5 and everything is great once I can figure out the alternative to the tripple click guided access part.... Show more

Works Great and Saved A Bundle
24 July 2023
I’m leaving this review using the tablet I’m reviewing. I’ve had it for over six months and it’s been fantastic. I really like the amount of memory that I got. I’d think it’s necessary and it’s been working great since day one. This was my first iPad and I couldn’t be happier if I transitioned from android for my phone and tablet to Apple products and I’ve really enjoyed the simplicity and intuitive way they are designed. This tablet holds a good charge and it doesn’t take long to charge it. There’s a lot of added apps that Apple supplies, and I’m really enjoying those. I’m using the dictation feature right now to leave this review and it works excellently. I couldn’t be happier with my 10.9 inch iPad Air.... Show more
