Apple introduced the iPhone 12 in October 2020 alongside the smaller iPhone 12 Mini and more premium iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 12 is a direct followup to the previous generation iPhone 11, but ups the ante with a fresh new design and an OLED display panel. Other noteworthy features include the addition of 5G network support, stronger glass that’s less prone to breaking, improved water resistance up to 6 meters, faster A14 processor, Smart HDR 3, Dolby Vision HDR video recording, MagSafe magnetic charging, and more.

Android to iPhone Transfer - Pretty Frustrating

Android does not have this problem. I’m also incredibly disappointed by its battery life; it has reached below 50% twice in one day by doing next to nothing, whilst my Android can last a whole night without dropping below 70%. Right now I can only charge it through my Android using the lightning - USB-C cable (the only cable in the box), which quickly drains the battery life of the Android. I’ve also been having issues texting people - messages being sent but not received by the people I’m sending them to, receiving texts from my Android contacts on my Android and not my iPhone. It’s a mess. I can’t even imagine what I have to go through to get my apps from Japan, but as long as I have a SIM card on my Android and can connect to the internet, I think I’ll just keep using my Android for the time being. I don’t think I can fit the apps into the iPhone storage anyway. Overall, I do not like this phone. If you are an Apple user already, then this phone will be fine for you. But if you are an Android user, I do not recommend that you transfer.

I'm not new to buying refurbished products but usually the product description and details match the quality of the product. This product clearly is stated as "works and looks like new" but when I received it, it was completely scuffed and chipped around all sides of the phone. This product is not "restored" this is just used and in bad condition. The product doesn't even get shipped with proper protection. When I picked up the box I could hear the phone and charger rattling around in the box. They also say "premium charger" but as you can see with my cable which shows wattage being pulled this is either a 5w charger or a bad 10w charger which anything under 20w should definitely not be labeled as "premium".Note: it's a USB C cable so I used a different phone to ...Ā MoreI'm not new to buying refurbished products but usually the product description and details match the quality of the product. Seamless Transition
28 August 2023

Once I got the correct iPhone for our server out here in a rural location, the transfer from my old iPhone 6s to the iPhone 12 mini was very easy. I did not have to contact anyone from TracFone this time, it just worked with the two phones side by side and took only about an hour. Because of its small physical size, which is similar to my old phone, the battery life is not as long as the full size iPhone 12, but it’s still much better than the old one. Face recognition is so much more efficient, although sometimes it does ask me for the six digit code. I don’t miss the home button at all. Takes great pictures and has twice as much storage as my old phone, which was full, despite iCloud upgrade. I’m very pleased with this phone and have no complaints.

Really frustrated that the phone's dimensions are now just large enough that it can no longer be easily operated with one hand, like the SE models could be. If we're wanting a smaller model to fit into pockets, purses, and allow for one-handed operation, this phone is JUST long enough to prevent one-handed operation and make front pocket storage potentially difficult. There is no need for it to be this long after extending the screen to the bottom of the phone. With the additional movement of the quick-access items like the Control Centre now being in the right corner and the back arrow in the upper left, it makes it even more difficult to do a one-handed pickup & access Control Centre items. Additionally, if using it in landscape, you have to rotate back to portrait to unlock the phone with Face ID if it locks, which is annoying. I have a feeling this was not tested enough with women (smaller hands on average) or those who primarily used the SE prior to this. I suspect this "middle of the road" tack that makes all the appeal of the smaller phone not so appealing anymore are why they didn't have great iphone 13 mini sales. Hopefully they'll figure that out and put out another model in a year or two that caters to those who don't want to lug around a big phone because we're not always watching videos, or operate it two-handed all the time!

This is a bad deal
12 September 2023

I ordered one of these because I believe in the value of used goods. The problem with this listing is that it is selling a used good that isn't in good condition. The screen had scratches, but would have been passable if that was all. The phones aluminum housing was deeply scratched, as it appears as though the phone had not been kept in a case. The battery life was 87 percent capacity, which is approaching the point where it will need replacing (typically 80 percent), a 70 dollar fee through apple. This only came with a 200 dollar discount off of buying a new 13 mini directly from Apple.I've bought used phones before that are great. This is not one of them. This is just a bad deal.

Loved this phone for the first few weeks. It was all set up with Text, phone, and security camera sounds that alerted me when I had messages, etc. coming in. All of a sudden, the Text sounds stopped! After contacting Tech Support twice, and Chat once, the sounds for Text messages still didn't work consistently. So far, I have taken it to BestBuy twice to have the Geek Squad check it out. Each time they got it working. But as soon as I got home, it either stopped completely or only worked sporadically. I have another appointment with the Geek Squad tomorrow to try again. Right now, the only sounds I get are for the incoming phone calls. I want to get this phone replaced but haven't found out how to get hold of a real person. Screen is nice and clear and the iOS is rapid with plenty of updates ahead on the way for a few years.Battery is small as its a small phone but I expected that. It sees me through a day with general light use but heavy users will be reaching for a charger. Charges quickly with a decent power grade plug. Phone looks great, works great and the upgrade process done online via my O2 no issues. Phone body harks back to older iPhones such as the 5 with the more pronounced edges. Key pad is on the smaller side but not unmanageable being a guy with larger hands. If you want to get into the iPhone crowd on a budget this is a good choice and great if you want reliable, powerful yet compact. Just be aware of how much use you are likely to need as smaller phone does mean smaller battery.

This phone has left me speechless man😩. I bought 2 years after it came out at AT&T brand new because apparently the mini series didn’t sell well. People are legitimately sleeping on the 12 mini. This phone feels modern in 2023. It flies through iOS 16 like butter. The display has a higher pixel density then the 14 plus meaning the colors and pictures look absolutely šŸ˜©šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼. It’s not to small nor to big it perfect. Not to mention the amazing pictures this thing takes. The battery isn’t horrible but not great, it’s manageable. The cool factory on this phone makes up for the battery life. Glad I didn’t have to sell an organ and buy the 13 pro or something 🤣 this phone is better
