Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max 128GB (Pacific Blue)

Again, a nice, solid, well-designed Apple product. The transition was seamless from my iphone 8 (if you want to see how seamless, there are plenty of youtube videos that show the procedure and that will ease your hesitancy). Most of my settings came over--I think i just had to adjust the off-time (when it goes to lock screen due to inactivity) but virtually everything else was copied directly. So when I got this there wasn't something I focused on and became obsessed with to talk about how great my new phone is compared to my old one. Second, you sell the phone and you include a new cable (USB-C to Lightning) but you don't include the adapter. Your old adapter cable combo will work with it (fortunately), but not including an adapter that can accept a USB-C seems like penny-pinching on something that's in general a very expensive product. The third thing is just that now it has been a week since I transitioned it and I haven't gotten the return information to send back my old phone (which got me a rebate). That makes me nervous. Says to allow up to 10 days. Just noting that last transition (6plus to 8plus) took me 2 days to get it. That's more an ATT thing, but to me it all counts toward the product experience and the whole experience is what people want to know about.

In 2021 I bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max. This phone has been amazing. My favourite feature is the ability to airdrop between devices. I have a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro, and I’m an artist, so being able to use easily send files between devices is amazing! The camera/s on this phone are also really good. I came from the X, and so far I love it. By far the biggest upgrade for me is the battery life, it is just outstanding. As I type this I’m getting off a 12 hour shift at work and I’ve used my phone extensively all day for various things from some games on my break to watching a movie in my car on lunch, etc. I’m sitting at 75% left, and by the time I go to bed tonight I’ll probably be around 60%. I simply can’t kill this phone. My X would just barely last me all day, and I could honestly go two days without charging this one I feel like, especially if I used it conservatively. As far as the size goes it’s definitely way bigger but not too big that it’s unwieldy. I chose the blue silicon case from Apple and it’s got a great sleek profile, and the texture is surprisingly grippy which helps with the one handed use. Overall I’d definitely recommend the 12 pro max if you are a big media consumer on the go and need the battery life or if you just want a big beautiful display.

Honestly i can’t even tell it’s been used, I legit am so picky and also have the Samsung z flip 4 (which I purchased brand new with Verizon) so I am willing to pay a ridiculous amount for a brand new phone, because i just am. Anyway, I had my doubts about buying a refurbished phone but this iPhone is legit the best iPhone I’ve ever had and I had the 13 pro (brand new) also on my Verizon plan and this iPhone 12 Pro Max seems to work better then THAT. Lol obviously that isn’t possible but for some reason it just runs extremely smooth and battery lasts FOREVER that’s what keeps surprising me. Horrible phone, has so many issues.

First off let me tell you that this phone is extremely heavy and weighs around a pound, so it’s like carrying a giant 16 ounce glass around in your hand all day. It doesn’t fit in most phone holders and because it’s so heavy it has broken at least five them. Then to make matters worse they made the back of this phone glass and even with a case on it, it will still break. It’s wayyy more fragile then the IPhone 8 Plus. Also if you’re out in the sun, the screen decides to dim all the way down on its own and you cannot turn it back up. I work on my phone so I spend about 10 hrs a day on my phone and this is one of the most irritating things about it. So these reviews were off and on with good and bad reviews. So I figured I would take a chance. While opening the box I noticed a scratch in the right hand corner, luckily is wasn’t as noticeable and didn’t affect the screen or anything but still there. There were chips in the side of the phone and the back cameras nothing too crazy to the point where I wouldn’t keep it because looks wise it’s good enough. The key thing that I’m sending it back for is the speakers are literally blown. My right side speaker works but it’s muffled sounds like 10 years of dirt is inside of it. The left side doesn’t even work at all. I understand it’s used but like why would you give away a phone that has a blown speaker. Isn’t that your job to fix it to sell. Also, I previously owned an iPhone 11 and wanted a new phone for a better speaker and my iPhone 11 was louder than what I got. iPhone 12 pro max is trash, don’t do it!

Getting this phone and switching to Verizon has been one of my biggest, most expensive and annoying regrets in the past year. I switched May 2021. First, it took 6 months and incessant calling to finally get the bill credit to show on my phone bill. I was paying the full amount all that time while they clearly showed receipt of my trade in. Very crappy customer service! Now to this trash phone that goes dark every time I charge it. It dims for almost an entire hour and there is nothing I can do about it. I don’t have any settings that make the phone auto-adjust and moving the bright dial does nothing. Even went to the Apple store with them claiming to not be aware of that problem even though a search online clearly shows others experience the same thing. And idk if it’s this phone or Verizon but lots of times when I’m using cellular data, it’s turtle 3G slow and I can’t get pages and apps to load for several minutes. I constantly getting the no internet is connected error. I’m over Vzw and Apple products at this point. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
